I work for No7 and the pump is horrible. If it ever stops working just hit the whole bottle on the flat surface a couple of times. It's just the air bubble that gets stuck in there! Pls like this comment so that she can see it and save herself a lot of time and nerves!

Personally l like the stay perfect MUCH BETTER. It has a normal pump and not this weird system. It doesn't go orange. Can't speak on behalf of Beautifully Matte because my skin is too dry for this one.
the pump is terrible but I was told for here in the UK if it ever stops working I can just take it into store and get a new one for free I also agree the foundation does go abit orange not sure how I'm lightest shade too so not good oh and it's a little cakey for me personally I much prefer the stay perfect 😊

I was shook af when you did your snap transition! The black shirt, the green necklace, the eye look, your skin! All so good. I think applying concealer first would be wise considering the foundation is immediately powdery but other than a little darkness under your eyes this looked wonderful. 💞
The fact that you test out foundations with glasses on makes me super happy! You never know how much the glasses rub of the make up until you try it - so I'm really grateful for you for showing us the true nature of the foundation :D

TNH That's how I find it and my skin is completely normal, no dryness or oil. I don't think you can beat Doublewear or Tarte Full Coverage but it doesn't stop me buying! X

Cassie, another comment mentioned makings rating system for the foundations you try and I was going to recommend that but for your liquid lipsticks. Have you seen the way Stephanie Nicole ranks her liquid lipsticks on a chart with her favorites at the top and worst at the bottom? That would be great for you to do for all the products you review

I use to work for No7 . Tap the bottom of the bottle on the palm of your hand a couple of times when the pump gives you problems. it's a vacuum pump. So appreciate your Videos! Happy New Year!
What? Downward strokes? That's a good way to get streaks. It's either circular motions (buffing) or stippling. I do the buffing and stippling both. A little buffing around pores and on the nose and stippling over it. I stipple over the rest of my face. You would never see Jaclyn Hill or any other big guru using downward strokes. That's bonkers. I'm annoyed people tried to tell you otherwise and you felt forced to change your method. I know you have some dry patches, so stippling with a flat top brush would probably work really well for you.

Ashley Holder I think it's just so that the foundation lays down the hairs~ other than that, I do the same application way as you aha
TheButtler i use downward strokes eith a flat brush. mufe teaches a striping and pressing motion as one of their core techniques.
Downward strokes are also good ways to get premature wrinkles people need to stop with telling people what they think is right and its not proven at all Im so upset that people have gotten mad at her about something they are wrong about its bullcrap
Ashley Holder I'm a licensed cosmetologist and a lot of professionals will use downward strokes to press all of the little peach fuzz and hair on your face down. The downward stroke motion leaves the fuzz on your face all in one direction and less noticeable.
You need to try the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I would love to see a video and know your thoughts. Get a sample and film it girl! ❤
Kayla Wills I bet she wouldn't like it. I have normal to dry skin and it can get a lil greasy on me after only a few hours!

All that being said, I LOVE this mini-palette from Too Faced, but I do already HAVE a couple of matte palettes with similar shades. It honestly doesn't matter how you put on your foundation. It's what works best for you. I would never buff it in, but I have dry skin and it's sensitive, so it hurts to buff... even softly. I always use a sponge most of the time or a semi dense brush that's ultra soft and allows movement so dry patches are accentuated.
And I lay down the foundation like I'm painting

Hi Cassie! I'm super happy you did this review! This is my holy grail foundation! I had to play around with a few different primers to get it to perform to its best but for me, anything like Porefessional or similar works super well for me! I also couldn't help but laugh when you had trouble with the pump because this happens to me with this foundation every single time, it's the only problem I have with it! Hope you and your fur babies are all well
Cassie your skin looks AMAZING!!! I love No7 foundation but do need to touch it up after 7 hrs.. glad you tested it out, i randomly picked it up at Target a year ago and still swear by it. Take care!
This is my favorite foundation of all time!! I wears superbly well on me, never looks cakey (in fact people compliment me on how great my skin looks), and it keeps my oils in check. I'm so frustrated though with the limited color selection available here in the U.S. and now they appear to have discontinued my color which is "Cool Vanilla". I'm going to have to try to find another color I can make work! Thank you, Cassie, for doing this review! Have a blessed day!

I hope this doesn't come across patronising. But do you exfoliate before applying foundation?
I have very oily skin as well, and I find that I NEED to exfoliate beforehand, because of all the dead skin that pops up overnight. Now I never get the "dry skin" look with foundation.
Even using a cotton pad and toner should be enough to exfoliate and leave your skin smooth before applying makeup. Which is what I do most of the time.
Gorgo exfoliating can actually emphasise the reaction of the skin making it even more oily... of course I think it depends on the scrub use but even just using a cotton everyday before applying make up sound agressive..
I love your product reviews cause you show us how a product looks on skin thats not completely perfect. You show us your pores and inperfections and I love that! And I totally don't mean any of that as a backhanded compliment. I don't have perfect skin either and I love to see how your reviews go with some of the same skin issues I have also. Too often you see foundation reviews from women who don't even need foundation and that doesn't tell me whether I want to buy the product or not. Sorry, rambling lol Thnx for being yourself and doing such a great job!

To be fair, I also use the shade calico and my skin is pretty damn pale. The undertone is fairly neutral so you shouldn't have too much of a problem.

Here in England, Boots/No7 offer a skin matching service where they scan your skin and match it to the most accurate foundation colour, so you don't end up looking like you've been Trump-tango'd xD
I'm pretty sure I've seen some really dark shades in some of the other No7 foundations too. I'm a massive fan of their moisturisers!
I love me some No. 7! I haven't tried their foundations but their skincare products and cleansers are awesome!! I recommend the foaming cleanser, it's super gentle and doesnt dry me out in the cold winters. We get pretty much the entire range in Canada ☺

I'll be entirely honest, when you first put it on it looked very dry on the sides of your nose but also in your under eye area. this was not my favorite foundation for you. but I absolutely love you and your videos!
Cassie, I love your honest reviews so much, but damn they are long. If I'm trying to get through my subscriptions list I sometimes will skip ahead a bit at a time to get to the meat of the video. It's possible it's just me. If you really like making the long videos keep at it, and I will just do my thing over here, but I wonder sometimes if a 14 minute video couldn't be edited down two minutes or so. I know that. Which is why I wasn't being demanding or aggressive. I offered a suggestion and also said, even if Cassie didn't change a thing at all I would still watch (hell even if she doubled her times I'd still watch). She values comments from her viewers so she can better her channel. No one can please everyone - human nature - but if she sees a large group of people all commenting the same constructive criticism there's gotta be a reason for it. I don't know if I'm in a minority, majority, or just on my own here, but how else would she know how to progress if she never hears any responses to what she puts out there?
I have a suggestion for a product to test! Since you are an artist, it would be fun to see you play around with the Anastasia Lip Palette! With your creativity and knowledge of colors I think you would make some truly nice and original colors! And you would always have a matching lip to any outfit. Please try it out!

I'm so pleased you tried this!! It's one of my all time faves - I had a few issues to begin with because I don't think it applies well with a beauty blender and it sets really quickly so you have to work really fast with it otherwise it can go patchy - brush is by far the best way to apply it. 🤗🤗

I loveeeeeeee your videos because I feel like I can see what the makeup looks like on regular people with blemishes, wrinkles,discoloration ect.
I live in the UK and I wear this foundation everyday, I quite like it, and I got perfectly colour matched at my local Boots. I also apply it with a real techniques sponge.

Cassie, you should try out the Becca ever matte primer/foundation! I sampled the primer in Sephora and it just sucked out all the oil and kept shine free all day. I'd love to see what you think :) Take care!
I definitely don't mean this in a negative way at all, so I'm sorry if it comes off as such. Have you ever considered shaving your face? NOT that you need to, I just know it's been a trend especially lately for makeup wearers to shave their faces for better makeup application, and exfoliation, etc; and I was wondering if you've ever thought about it. If you ever do, I would love to hear about your experience with the whole thing, and how it makes your skin feel, or changes your makeup, or if you notice it growing back or not, and all that. I feel like there have been tons of videos about it, but no one has really gone in-depth with it like I think you would. Thanks so much, Cassie. love your vids.

Hello Cassie!! I've not been on youtube for some time now, I bought this foundation in boots for £5!! I don't know whether no7 makeup is being g discontinued or not, as my local store had all the makeup being sold at a discounted price!! I was pleasantly surprised to see that one of my favourite youtubers (you), reviewed this so am currently waiting until summer for me to try it out as the only shades left were darker than my usual shade. just tonight i bought the No7 Airbrush Away foundation and I completely love it!!! it's so silky smooth and has a nice natural coverage! I got it at ulta in the drug store section! must try!!
I'm actually excited to try this now, as a fellow oily girl 👍 Also I have seen No7 displays in at least one Ulta store, and they definitely had more than five shades...
Off-topic: Have you ever tried bareMinerals' Gen Nude matte liquid lipsticks? I got the holiday shade Naughty (red) as a gift and I really think you'd love it! It's moussey and nice-feeling and not at all drying! Plus it's actually matte, doesn't slide around, and only transfers a tiny bit! ❤

This is my absolute favorite foundation!! I discovered it when the Walgreens cosmetics person did the color match test on me and put some of the no7 beautifully matte on my face. I bought it right away and LOVE IT. You have to really make sure you've properly prepped your skin especially exfoliating and moisturizing for a flawless application. I only prime my tzone (with benefit POREfessional) and I get hours of wear. I like the look after about two hours when I get very slightly dewy. Great review!
Blimey you did well with the shade match, you looked naturally flawless. Super flattering! I have trust issues with no.7. my favourite foundation used to be one of theirs, but the b*stards discontinued it. It upset so many customers they took to the boots website and started leaving loads of 1 star reviews on the product page, complaining and begging them to change their mind. They didn't at first, it was about a year later they brought it back again but for me it was just too late....I'd moved on 😂 no.7 position themselves (and always have) as a slightly higher end drugstore brand, it used to be mainly for more mature ladies, but I feel like that image has lessened over the years. So pleased it worked so well on you xxx
WavyKate omg mine had gotten discontinued too!!! Which one did they bring back by chance??? I was mad so I've been searching for a new holy grail foundation but can't find one. All other foundations oxidize me and the no7 one never did!

Cassie!!! I think it would be a terrific idea at this time of the year to do a best and worst of beauty, WINTER EDITION!!! Stuff that's soley great for winter time skin and hair - or do a Works in Winter/Skip the Summer video of products that work better during certain times of the years :) I live in Wisco...so I know how the dry negative degree weather just strips the skin and I'd like to see what you recommend!!

Cassiiiiiiiiieeeee ahhhh I live in the UK and my first ever foundation was "Stay Perfect" by No7 in the shade mocha, it wasn't matte, but it gave me a healthy glow. The pump DOES work, but from my experiences, DON'T shake the bottle before pumping it out, leave it alone so the foundation sinks to the bottom and THEN pump it out. ALso, it used to be my holy grail foundation until they changed the formula and the same shade looked so much darker on my skin and got so much more oily through out the day, which sucked (especially because I stocked up with 2 more bottles and realised I can't even use them) -________-
Lovely to see a review of a brand that is also available in Europe (not my country sadly, but still I'm glad you're branching out!) Although I do feel the sound is a bit off in this video, did your microphone or something rest next to something rustle-y? I heard a slight rustle-white noise-ish sound in the background but that may be just my imagination. I love your videos, we don't have the sort of skin or anything (I have really dry lips and dry skin) so I can't always buy the foundations you recommend as they're not for my skintype but it's nice seeing someone do nice comprehensive wear tests on products :)

Which makeup geek shadows did you use on your eyes? This look really suits you!
The smell in the foundation is the salicylic acid which is to help fight blemishes (the majority of customers buying this foundation have oily and blemish prone skin). No7 is hypo-allergenic so they don't add fragrance to their products (apart from the luxury body items). It's a great brand for foundation!
Here in the UK, once you're matched to your foundation colour, they can tell you your ideal blush, bronzer and lipsticks just based on your foundation colour :)
Hey Cassie! Could you talk about the ingredients or maybe compare it to other foundations/formulas? This is coming from a place of love but I think your reviews could be more thorough.

No7 lift and luminate foundation is one of my all time favorites!! Give that one a try. Very underrated in my opinion
