Hey Lucy, your new plant pot is actually a cache pot, which means that you had to repot your plant in a bigger pot before to put it inside your cache pot. The risk is that it's gonna rot when you'll give water to your plant. It's not supposed to have a plant directly inside of it. It would be too bad to ruin it cause it's cute. Nice bed by the way!
I also wondered if it was any safe to put straight up soil in a wicker-looking pot!

The biggest thing I've learnt in my twenties is how to ask for help, being ok with it and realising that it doesn't mean I'm any less independent or capable but that I understand that others are better equipped to do those tasks.
just a thing about the plantpot: i would advice against planting your rubber tree directly into that basket the basket will rot and the plant will die most likely this is a decorative pot that you put over the nursery pot and even then you'd have to be very very careful with watering, probably take the plant in the nursery pot out and water it somewhere else and only put it back when it's dry and won't soak the basket-pot
You can put a little saucer under the nursery pot, inside the basket, that’s how I like to do it.
Having too much storage in a London room or flat is rare, it definitely is a good thing though rather too much storage than not enough.

SAME. We scheduled our move for a weekend so I could get back to work on Monday and my fiance even thought he'd be able to work Sunday. Boy were we wrong. But it's so worth it watching the house come together! You can get the raw plugs (that the screws fit into) out by putting a screw in partially and using the non-hammer side of a hammer to pull them out :) it looks like a bit of wall will come with it, but it's unavoidable!
EDIT: saw you actually got them out, but leaving this here in case anyone is curious!

i do get super itchy in my throat/mouth/ears and nose with my hayfever. when it's reeeeally bad my eyes, chest and lungs also itch (yes i know that you can't feel your organs but it's the only way i can describe it). it's all normal, unfortunately.

lmao I'm so confused by people who even touch their apartments. I started to get the actual literal mold out of my place and am not getting my damage deposit back because of it. I see this so much and I am so genuinely confused how people get away with doing anything never mind PAINTING and SANDING
I wish I could say my experience is an isolated incident but everyone I've known who rents ANYTHING is in the same boat.
I think you usually have to get it cleared by your renter? Or if they give you permission but require it to be repainted the exact color it was before (or something like that). At least I’ve heard of those circumstances in the US

The walls have not been painted! I’m gutted, hopefully will find the time to do it in the next few months
