Exactly!! I have a whole draw full of stuff that's a different size because in the past few years I've been a whole stone lighter and a whole stone heavier. And I know I'll change size again 😂 I also have spare bras that are bigger for the odd days/weeks when my boobs suddenly grow for no apparent reason!! 😋
I finally turned a bunch of my nostalgic t-shirts into a quilt! I really like being able to have the nostalgia but also it's not taking up room in my closet!
Could you make a video talking about your/general weight fluctuation and body acceptance? It’s something I’m struggling with rn and it’s so lovely to hear you talk about it in such an honest and mature way
I'm really glad you talk about your wardrobe development. I don't know any other channel that talks about the struggle of finding your style and it's really reassuring.
This video length makes me feel like you have so many clothes HOWEVER the fact that you went through each piece and talked about them is sooo impressive. You really do have a great, minimal wardrobe.
Awh the Hannah-scarf bit reminds me so much of me and my best friend - I'm short, blonde and love colourful clothes and she is tall, brunette and loves monochrome everything (coincidenceee)
I love these types of videos Lucy! I'm obsessed with the Anna edits wardrobe planning/switch over videos and I love yours too because when I watch them i feel like I am helping a friend clear out their wardrobe! Its very satisfying and wholesome haha
I have that sheer Topshop top which I got like 4 years ago and have worn it on almost every night out since with a lace cover up. It’s absolutely amazing!
I'd just like to point something out (as someone who lives in a country where the stuff in second-hand shops are from the UK mostly!) that you shouldn't donate tatty/bobbled/thinned out/bad quality pieces of clothing or other miscellaneous things missing bits or beyond repair ... believe me, as someone on the receiving end, those things won't be bought, it just ends up in landfill! Most people in Eastern Europe who shop second hand do it 'cause it's affordable, I do it because I just don't want to contribute to fast fashion anymore but still, if the clothing you want to get rid of is in a condition that you wouldn't accept yourself, I suppose the better option is recycling it. :))
actually most charity shops will take ripped, torn and stained clothes and sell them on for recycling. Just put them altogether in a bag and tell them its for the rag man
@@rachela3066 I'm glad to hear that! It's just that lately I've been finding more and more ripped and stained stuff on this end and was wondering why :) I guess clothes are of worse quality to begin with
Giving clothes away fills me with stress and anxiety, even watching someone else doing it :D but still like watching your videos, they are so calming and chill xx
Love your wardrobe videos!! Always inspire me to sort through the depts of mine and force myself to think about what I really need. I also find them super calming :)
I think its better to declutter the shirts that you said you only wear once or twice around christmas or from the charity shop, the memories will stay with you but if it doesnt 'fit' your current style, then why hang on? what i wish you explained was why youre not wearing certain colours at the moment - why restrict yourself?
I really loved this video! Could you possibly make a video about getting clothes tailored? so often I buy something because I love the design but SO often the fit is just a bit...off (I'm lankey so I have to get big sizes to fit my arms/legs but they're always too big on the body) ? People have recommended I get things tailored but I'd never know where to start. It was so interesting to me when you mentioned how you get everything altered.
I have the UO dress but as a playsuit and I wear it every time I’m on holiday Edit: I am going on holiday on Sunday. You reminded me to pack my playsuit
This is in no way a criticism or anything of the kind just a straight up comment- I just cannot get over that she posted this on July 10 and she is wearing a sweater and only just getting out her shorts- I 100% realize that the UK is just not hot but it has been 38 Celsius here in central Canada for the last week and by July 1st it was already regularly 28.... I love the summer but I’m a bit jealous of actually being cold enough to wear long sleeves or pants... there’s a reason why Canadians own a million pairs of shorts 😉
Lucy, In response to your story about your sandals (r.i.p), I would like to leave this comment to commemorate my UO striped midi skirt (was beaut), which is now stained in bleach after my first day at new job. Thankyou. Alice
Why would you keep something that you say is " Ok.... Doesn't flatter me...is just 'fine''? and stuff that doesn't fit you? And that is really old? And 4 grey sweaters? And things that show your bum? And things that don't suit your vibe or style anyone? :Lots of excuses and not much decluttering?
i completely agree. I struggle with this too, but at that point I would either take pics of those SAMPLE shirts/sweaters, put them in a timeline book and then get rid of the unflattering stuff.
@@lucymoon Hi Lucy, although donating to charity shops under the assumption that your unwanted clothes are being resold or recycled is great, this is often not the case sadly. Check out this article for an interesting read. www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/10961849/The-secret-life-of-your-charity-shop-cast-offs.html The idea of a 30 time wear rule (although obviously extends beyond the 30 mark) just seems a problematic to me as it still somewhat encourages the mindset of disposability? It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this.
It was really cool that you mentioned size fluctuation as a normal thing, people don’t usually accept it, but they should

I'm obsessed with grey jumpers too!! Also your lipstick is beautiful
Ur videos make me feel peaceful :)
"your bum isn't out... but your bum is also out" lol 😂 i have some pieces like that that i love but ultimately never wear because of that same reason
this is such a fun video! I needed to watch something relaxing and this is nice love you Lucy🥰

Being a curvy girl ain't easy. Darn bum always in the way 😂😂😂💕
Please do a vid on getting your clothes tailored! 🌟
Really enjoyed your video :) now I feel tempted to go through my wadrobe (especially the pullovers)
Gonna watch this whilst I wait for my veggie lasagne to cook
love that for you
I have such a deja vu feeling watching this video
Mannnn I NEEDED this. Currently sitting in the biggest pile of clothes. Think I need to be more ruthless though...
It’s always hard for me to clean out my closet, because I’m a hoarder 😀 (adding emoji for comedic effect)
starts at 3:25. sorry not trying to be rude

I love that Nasty gal blue dress 😍 If you decide not to keep it in the end and send it to me I wouldn’t mind at all haha 😂
I have the UO dress but as a playsuit and I wear it every time I’m on holiday
Edit: I am going on holiday on Sunday. You reminded me to pack my playsuit
Glad to have been of service
Being curvy is so difficult when finding clothes to fit right. I feel your pain girl!
Yesss omg gonna watch this while I clear my wardrobe out haha
where's that yellow dress from? i love it!
I kept nearly getting that grey playsuit from UO! Kind of wish I had now, maybe I should see if they do still sell it.
Side note: your hair and glasses are dreamy
Where did you get your headboard? I love it!
I love ur channel bc u feel like my older sister :-)
How do you feel about thrifting and ethical brands?
Where is you bed/ head board from?
I agree with you Lucy, boys lie sounds cool but, dont we all?

Love the video! I was just curious about where your white shirt is from that you’re wearing?
It’s from Topshop a year or two ago!
If you are looking for a home for that light purple t-shirt I’d love to buy it from you!
White tee underneath the black playsuit?
How very dare you not listen to Leon Bridges. 😜 River, Forgive You, Beyond etc. Gah I love his music. Ill happily steal the tee 😘
is this a re-upload, or am I just having the most prolonged deja vu?
i thought i was the only one! i swear i saw this a week or so ago, i remembered the yellow dress
I shared a small portion of it in my wardrobe edit video last week! People requested the full video so I thought I’d share it today ☺️
I believe some shots of this video were on her last one about the summer capsule wardrobe!
have you seen marie kondo's netflix series or read her books?
where is your bed frame from?!
Annie Vautour urban outfitters iirc
Urban outfitters!
Have I seen some of this footage before? Or am I having a deja vu lol
Lucy, In response to your story about your sandals (r.i.p), I would like to leave this comment to commemorate my UO striped midi skirt (was beaut), which is now stained in bleach after my first day at new job. Thankyou. Alice
Sorry for your loss
You could wear the urban outfitters dress with a pair of leggings for bum coverage purposes x
Love it
Im getting deja vu idk why 😅
It is really funny for me to watch, her old clothes have like 2 years. My old clothes have like 10 years. Perks of being older I guess.
i wish my butt being too big was an issue, mine is the opposite

Leon Bridges is the real deal tho!…. 👎🏽👎🏾👎🏿
I'm sure the charity shop will really appreciate your one sock, lol.
They can recycle it and get some money from the recycling service!
@@lucymoon I learned something today. Thanks :-)
