hey man you have to not pump your brakes, you need to brake into a corner at whatever brake pressure and then slowly start to release the brake before the apex, then you can gentle apply throttle and max out. also when you are turning stay as far to the outside as possible unless in race conditions. this can allow for better corner entry speed and allows you to rotate your wheel less meaning you won't spin out if you push on the throttle. you have to also brake in a straight line or else you will spin out when you slam on the brakes on corners. Monza is a fairly high speed track with a few hard braking zones. you should use brake indicators too if you can because your braking points are really off, if you use that you can get a better idea if how to and when to trail brake and then also know when to release it. 6:09 idk why you are pumping the brakes. just writings this to help out and be kind man. good luck edit: you can also push your car out to the ripple strip when exiting corners. you just need to max sure the ripple strip is dry and not wet or dewy. you are also shifting early on some gears. some cars don't like to be revved out all the way yes, but you shift on straights when you could be relining for maximum filter.
Thank you so much. This is exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for! Keep an eye out for my next video I will shout you out as this is very helpful!
@@ProdByShawn especially in acc, you can brake 100 percent and lean in to the abs then bleed off the brakes fairly quickly as you turn in, i wouldn't worry to much about learning trail braking unless its some thing you already do while your not using a load cell but id defo save up for the csl load cell brake add on as your next upgrade
Appreciate your video. I've been playing the GT series since it's inception and had ACC on PS4 and now PS5 but never really played it; couldn't be bothered with tuning my wheel/cars etc. Finally, after months and months of becoming bored and disappointed with the growth, content and basic accessibility options of Gran Turismo I tried ACC our this weekend. There are obvious differences between the two, but ACC actually feels much better even though there's less of a 'game'. I haven't played GT7 for a couple of days but seeing it play alongside ACC I actually prefer the rugged look and feel of ACC. The weight of cars feels better; I feel like I'm driving a monster of a GT car. The environmental effects are better too; lock ups cause flat spots which I can feel, tyres get punctured, the engine sounds and brake whine adds to the atmosphere. It generally just feels better than GT7. Whilst ACC's track selection isn't as diverse, classic tracks such as Silverstone, Imola, Misano and Hungaroring are a welcome change to driving the GT7 suspects. I drive without ABS and TC, which for some reason feels easier in ACC on a wet track. The cars have weight and provide feedback. GT7 cars seem to be slightly more difficult because there's vague information about what the car will do. Both games are good in their own right, just depends what type of experience one wants. For me, PD have dropped the ball given GT7 lackluster updates. I think most of my gaming will be spent exploring more of ACC.
Thank you for the detailed reply, i agree with the environmental effects and definitely that brake whine, very nice detail. I like to think that PD haven't given up on gt7. As a fairly new sim racer and definitely a filthy casual, I really enjoy the progression and like I said the more gamey aspects of gran turismo. This wasn't an in depth comparison, more of just a lap to lap test, but I can see where ACC shines and other areas where GT7 makes more sense. Thanks for the reply again, glad you enjoyed the video!
In gt7 you used racing soft tyres, racing hard tyres would be closer to acc. I think you might tuned your gt3 with a additional high rpm turbo, the gtr under bop wouldn't hit the rev limiter on a straight. This might be your better sense of speed.
Good video, I have never played GT7 but have been playing ACC for 7 months. Great to see a fair comparison by someone who doesn't seem biased. GT7 always looks more like an arcade game in most videos I see, mainly because of the camera used to drive. Keep up the great work and I'll keep watching.
I was trying to keep the most things as similar as possible between each game. But it's hard to really compare the interiors as I use psvr2 on gt7 and it's soo good. Hoping to get the PC adapter for a good test on acc
Yes, do play more and look to gain more consistency. Try to carry more speed into and through the turns, the GT3s can and like to be abused (and basically ask to be abused) to be fast. Hardbrake (100% brake) in a straight line and as you need to turn you release brake. With ABS you can turn a bit while full brakes but not much. Try to return to throttle by the apex or as near the apex as you can and try to avoid coasting. Use more of the kerbs. Just gain more confidence and keep going.👍
Hey Man, I enjoyed the video. The best thing you can do is go watch some vids on trail braking and how to force, over and under steer on purpose. These two skills will change your driving style completely. I have been on both GT7 and ACC for a year now and I love both for different reasons. Currently A S in GT7 and a pro-am category in ACC. What setup are you using now? Still G293?
Thank you so much for the feedback, I am currently using a moza r5 with an adapter that allows it to worm on ps5. It was a huge upgrade from gear based wheel to direct drive and it has been very nice being able to actually feel everything. I will practice trail breaking and over and understeer. Thanks again!
@@ProdByShawn nice, i know they do a brake performance upgrade but do they do a load cell upgrade.. if not you may be able to get the v1 version of their premium pedal set 2nd hand for a good price now they have a v2.. pedals can be fairly reliable for 2nd hand purchases plus ebay give you protections any way
@@ProdByShawn ACC also has an lfm style ranked racing on console now.. is it grid finder or sim grid.. cant remember but a few people did videos on it and defo the place to go once you get competent at ACC.. of course if you have a mid range gaming pc even if its a lil old doing pc is a much better space.. hell even AC1 which will run on any thing still has the best ffb of any sim when tweaked through the mod content manager and it also has ranked racing via the free lfm service
OK a little help on filming race videos first off you must do a complete lap so that people don't think you're cheating they have no idea how many times you ran that lap to get to that time if people can't see you do a full lap they're not gonna trust you and they're gonna look at you as a serious editing machine so from now on full laps and that is a wonderful track with a storied history
@K.Masilela I'm using a track im unfamiliar with, do you have a specific corner you see where it could be better? Can you link it in a timestamp so I can see, thank you
I feel like gt7 ACC and any sim should be played in cockpit and ACC is way more sim than gt7. Gt7 put more time in how good the game looks than how it drives lol it's good but compared to ACC it falls short.
@ORC_BTNORRIS1987 its going to take me sometime but I'm planning a racing and flight sim rig setup I should be able to build in the next year or so, but I agree about your view, i will say though, nothing for now is beating gt7 on psvr2 it is MIND BLOWING
Thank you, I shouldn't have assumed tire pressure was handled the same, but to be fair I didn't do anything special in either side for tires, so this still holds as my most raw reaction

Imo gt7 is really coming a long way… however the kerbs + tire physics and getting on the power / slip angle just cannot compete…
what I’m really watching is a man slowly realizing ac is his new favorite toy😅
I fear you're right, I've out 10x the amount of hours into gt7 but ACC is definitely pulling me away!

@ProdByShawn i wish ACC had vr on PS
That's the only thing missing from ACC
your tire pressures are way too low, they need to be around 27 psi

btw you dont need to lift whenever you shift, i noticed you kept doing that

@@ProdByShawn of course, im still learning ACC too, but i noticed that and itll make you loose a lot of time
ACC is far and beyond better.
ACC is a sim, GT7 is a simcade
I mean gt7 isnt that far from acc i have played acc.. i think some people just like to feel like they are better because they play acc
@ they are not, quit lying to yourself
gt7 ffb is like a toddler compared to acc
Fr i was sweating after ACC
