Cendol is taste like liquid toffee, if you want extra sweet, don't mix it up first and then take a slurp from the bottom, the liquid is actually palm sugar.
Oh yeah for the rings, the guy laughing not at you but laughing at the guy who sells the ring, same way like the guy in Comro store, because they feels kinda funnily curious like how did their friend who cannot speak english at all but managed to sells their product to a foreigner.
Oh yeah maybe for tips, if you want to ask price just say 'Berapa?' or for a full one is 'Berapa harganya?'
I hope you enjoy your trip here in Indonesia Harry~

Hi harry, i am new comer of your vlog. Its a very nice experience you have had in jakarta streets with the commoners! First thing you ate is pancong cake which is very popular here as morning snack, and the cendol is a kind of Indonesian boba. The second food is combro, made from messed fresh cassava, its also a favorit snack to be eaten with hot tea. The cendol is made from cassava flour and added with coconut milk and palm sugar (the brown one). The ring you bought is very popular, using akik or Indonesian gems. You buy the blue nice safire ring. I hope you will see more nice things in Jakarta and other places in Indonesia

Hello Harry. I'm your subscriber from Malaysia. Hope I can be of some help with your Bahasa Indonesia. The cendul guy was letting you know that durian cendul is not available and he has only the normal cendul. The green jelly is made from rice flour + cornflour mixed with pandanus leaf and some green colouring. It is then cooked into a soft dough and pressed into a type of instrument to turn them into those little green droplets. They drink is made of coconut milk with the green jelly, and palm sugar, hence the sweetness. This drink is popular in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and other parts of South East Asia. Btw, if you want to ask how much anything costs, you should say "berapa harganya". Anyway, I'm sure you will have more Indonesian viewers/subscribers to help you with the language. Hope you come to Malaysia one day...although we are a small country, we are a multi-racial society with diverse cultures and many wonderful places to explore and varieties of food and snacks. Sorry for promoting Malaysia while you are in Indonesia lol. Hope you have a wonderful experience in Indonesia, my second home 👍👍😄😄 🌹🌹🌹

The vendor said Durian is not available, just reguler Cendol, durian its kind of fruit just available on their season.. or seasonal.. if their not in season it will more expensive than when in their season.. the Combro made by cassava, the savory filling is called oncom, oncom is made by fermented soy bean, if Tofu made by juice of soy bean, then the Oncom made by pulp of Tofu waste soybean.. and the sweet one filling of brown sugar, and the first food is Kue Pancong, it made by rice flour mixing with coconut milk, salt and also young coconut meat..because the taste just lil bit savory so you must add sugar as a toping so it will be balance taste

You're in Pasar Asemka, Kota, West Jakarta.
What you ate were KUE PANCONG...it made of Coconut and Flour and pouring with sugar.
COMBRO and MISRO...the savory one is Combro. The inside is not meat but the waste of Tofu...it's Soy and mix with spices. It's spicy and is not suit to western hahaha...the sweet one, the filling is palm sugar.
The drink...it called CENDOL...the green jelly made of Rice flour with Pandan Leave, that's why it's green. But nowadays they used Pandan flavor coloring. The milk is Coconut Milk and the brownish syrup is Palm sugar Syrup. It's tasty and suit to hot weather in Jakarta. It's everybody's fave in Indonesia.

A traditional market at the center of Jakarta..? .I hope the government of Jakarta would renovate it to be a more tidy & clean, big, market. Thanks to Harry for sharing this interesting video. Have a nice day & take good care in this rainy season.
