Great interview; it was interesting to see how things blew up after the shootout. All I can say is that over more than 50 years in R/C, I now am fortunate enough to fly the Core, but saying that I have also used, Futaba, Multiplex, Sankyo, Kraft, Space Commander (early 70s) Taranis(in drones) and various LR transmitters. I can confidently say that all of the models I have driven into Terra Firma were not radio-related but thumb-related. All the brands over many years have been very reliable, and it seems current electronics are only getting better.
The most used tool I have is probably a length of pushrod wire from a GWS kit. It has a curve to it, a hook bent on one end and an L on the other at 90* to eachother. I use that to pull servo wires, fuel tubing, air hoses, even other wires like pull-pull wires. Anything I can’t reach with my fingers. I couldn’t build without it.
LOL, I watched mainly for the comments about the radio brand shootout. I know sometimes how a simple comment about a subject sets people off, I would have loved to have seen the comments/e-mails you were getting. I can only imagine how triggered people were.

Yeah, I think any brand can have an issue at some point, but it seems like problems are pretty rare these days.
Well said!

My guess was "lighter side of RC" meaning was, don't build heavy and don't be so serious.
