Great interview! Many interesting topics were brought up here. I've watched many of Jon's videos, so it was good to hear about the work and motivation that goes into it. Personally, I don't want the responsibility to continue producing content on a regular basis, so I don't encourage my viewers to click Like or Subscribe. YT is just a repository for videos I like to make. But I can appreciate the work that goes into a successful channel like yours. Thanks for addressing anxiety and the fear of flying, for both full scale and model aviation. After nine years of competing in precision aerobatics I still get nervous when I step up to the flight line in front of the judges, or start flying a new sequence. But it always gets better with repetition. Facing those fears directly really helps. Keep up the good work, both of you!
So much truth here...... love both these guys channels and as I run my own channel (using a hat cam:) I can vouch for all of the comments here..... I think in life the idea is to complement each other leaving the negative behind... I too have had some haters on my channel so I just have a laugh and move on....... great content here as per usual.... its a shame its only 15hrs long... stay safe and greetings from down under
30 minutes in before going to my local field to record more and it's nice to hear about his moments uploading with fpv footage and music with no.views I'm currently at that point trying to navigate my way out and it's quite tricky in the RC plane world😅
Great interview as always Juan. And Jon beyond the hobby just wanted to say i appreciate your contributions at Epic and Quixel, UE/Quixel are products I use professionally. Sorry to hear of the layoffs. I wish you the best and off-course future growth of your channel.
Thanks man! My time at Quixel and Epic was some of my favorite ever - still working in CG even after leaving, too! You'll probably run into me again. Cheers
Fear is the biggest killer of progress. I learned how to fly 3D in under a year, learned rolling harriers in a few weeks, and other complex maneuvers in less time. How did I progress fast? I took magic mushrooms, it eliminated my fear response and rewired my reflexes ten times to where I can see the maneuvers and coordinate well with the sticks naturally without overthinking the whole flight at the age of 40. I dont get the "I'm nervous everytime I fly" feeling.
@@DannyMatthewsRC Not lying my dude, there's a few of us at our field that micro dose mushrooms. We are some of the best flyers at our field. Some of our best drone flyers are also micro dosers. I can send you the link to my page so you can see how I fly micro-dosed in under a year of RC flying from trainer to 3D. It cancels out the fear response and it makes you rethink the way you fly. There's people that fly the same pattern for more than 10 years and couldnt re-wire or break old habits to progress in their flying cause of heavy fear response.
Always look forward to your videos and especially your interviews!

Another great one!

Definitely would like to see a freewing yf23 or f16 xxL !
I’ve always wanted to try a real YT channel but I face two things. The public speaking and finding the budget to continue to make content.

Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration to my foam RC planes.
i got into fpv rc jets and i want to start a channel and i struggle with the voice aspect.
we don't like him 😢
