What a nice way to put it. I feel the same, but totally embracing my age.. even with my tore up back. Would you really rather be young? I’m happy we were raised without cellphones. And all that comes with what I’m saying, right?❤️ Still making my bf put a corded phone in our house for my main line. ❤️
Holy shit, I knew a guy in high school in 1990 who published a zine and he had this demo on cassette and we listened to this over and over in the car! It was funny when the debut album came out and I was instantly singing along to Macaroni!
These early takes of the songs from the full length are great. Its a shame this demo is the only place Mr Nice Guy is avaliable at, hopefully this gets reissued or thrown on a comp.
Back in like 2004/5 Trevor had hidden links on his website where he explained the making of the 3 studio records. He explained that Nice Guy was left off because Dead Goon was already a solid closer for the record. To add Nice Guy would've interrupted the flow of the record. He wasn't happy about the decision if I remember, I think it could've fit elsewhere on self titled. There were other songs that didn't make it to that album, I believe one was called Captain Asshole, and the Thunderball cover.
Fascinating. I have been waiting well over 20 years to hear this. It is rather high quality for a demo, and allows for a lot of lyrics that are buried under noise on the self titled album to be heard clearly. Thanks for posting.
I f**king love this ep, it's such a great little piece of art. You can see so many great things in it, despite how immature and puerile it can be. It's got that adolescent excitement to it, they're just kids and they're having a bunch of fun. It's their love letter to music, and I think it's very sweet.
Faith No More had just released The Real Thing, their first studio recordings with Mike Patton, and before the band set about 18 months of constant touring Mr. Bungle took the opportunity to put down six songs. This demo was the first to feature Danny Heifetz on drums and Clinton 'Bar' Mckinnon on tenor sax, it completed the line-up which would go on to record and tour the first two Bungle albums to be released by Warner Bros.
Bought this demo at Music Coop in Petaluma. Wore it out in my Kenwood deck driving around in my 64 1/2 Mustang. Saw them live at the Phoenix, hung with the band backstage. Norcal gen x just had it all. My kids are so jealous
they should have replaced girls of porn w mr nice guy on the self titled. I knowww why they had to drop it it makes sense..🙄🙄 but it’s so much stronger as a song even as a demo.. even the moans in mr nice guy are better
Most horrible news indeed, big article in my local Santa Rosa Calif newspaper. Ex-Mr Bungle arrested in bold print. I nearly shit myself before a sip of morning coffee, and that’s never happened before at least a cup, or two!

I'm glad I put this band off for 20+years because now I have good music to listen to that is new to me in this wretched age.

And it's fun to listen to Bungle and FNM at the same time.

Squeeze me Macaroni is honestly my favorite one out of all the Mr. Bungle songs.
These early takes of the songs from the full length are great. Its a shame this demo is the only place Mr Nice Guy is avaliable at, hopefully this gets reissued or thrown on a comp.
Such a good fucking song. Still my fav bungle song along with Travolta
Mr. Nice Guy is top tier

I programmed it. Xxxx-tra nice.

@@YeesusKrist Ok, but that is a drum machine. Sounds like an old Alesis.
@@YeesusKrist Also, I knew your name seemed familiar, so I looked it up. If you are really the person in your screen name, thanks for commenting!
Mr Nice Guy is a fucking masterpiece I wish more people could hear it lol.

Mr. Nice Guy
I think I prefer this demo to their major label efforts... well done!
Wow ive been listening to the self titled album since i was a freshman in highschool and just found this today some 30 years later. Thank you!!!
Just enjoy it, it's a hell of an album! 🤘🏾
That proves that good things come to those who wait, as the old saying says.
Mr. Nice Guy….the track with the meanest solo….
23:11 is straight outta some Final Fantasy soundtrack
My friend great experimental mad song very good with Master MIKE PATTON. I was 53years old and love this band...
Only real Bungle fans find this stuff.
Me with my Mr bungle shirt

What a banger of a demo.
I prefer this version of Slowly Going Deaf
Worlds greatest demo
You're probably right about that

Quorthon actually uploaded this, Varg is more a Chili Peppers guy himself.

"Intro" is actually called OHUE818
I don't like these more than the studio version. I don't like them less either.
i honestly prefer this version of slowly growing deaf
@@goobergoon6177 I think Mike goes to hammy with the vocals on this version. Other than that, the instrumentation is solid
an acquired taste in music... it's zappa -esque......not my style but respected...
This is definitely one of the nicest comments, I ever read on RUclips!
Respect
Where is this guy on the cover from?
Did they re-record Mr Nice Guy in the S/T album sessions?
you should be arrested for putting ads on this video
theo, no!

Better than the actual album that was released 1991.
No.
could you possibly upload each song separately?
So we can get an advert between every song? Great idea
Now we have ads at random times during a song, fuck yeah!
The intro is just CDI mario music.
What means ou818????
Just a parody of Van Halen's OU812 (Oh you ate one too)
i think they kinda say in the intro
It's the square root of 14 million
I originally thought it was supposed to be like ouija (like the board you use to contact spirits) but remulo is right i think.
Omg At the very end, when funiculi funicula aka Spider-Man 2 pizza time song played I shit myself
Song is from 1880
Kurdish actually believes Patton rips him off did he ever listen to any of bungle
Kiedis definitely had an early influence on Patton. But then Mike did his own thing. He has a ton of influences
Maybe a deeper dive into Patton there has never been any admiration between the two
@@jaredcoffin1 well, Mike said they pretty much made up, all water under the bridge, lol
Well played
The Red Hot Chili Peppers took bad acid and went to the circus = Mr. Bungle.
