I think this song tells the story of a man who can’t die. He lives for hundreds of years, seeing all of humanity’s wrongdoings, and once he can’t take it anymore, me gouges his own eyes out.
From right to left: Anton Lavey, Eric Harris (Columbine shooter), Stephen King, One of the Nazgul, and lastly Darth Maul. More evidence that this band Time Travels
I love how this perfectly catches the feeling of the shitty comedown from a really intense trip, the aggressively slow and painful return to reality, when you're so worn you want it to stop so you can rest, but time keeps dilating ahead of you, and you're intensely uncomfortable, and you're not even as far down as you think you are, and it's just this gnawing, grinding, crucible of mercilessly unwound time and overwhelming sensation. Like not enough butter, spread too thin, across too much bread. The tryptamine crawl. Reentry from LSA after eating 1,000 morning glory seeds and becoming violently ill halfway through the trip with another 12+ hours to go. When it turns out that a 24hr trip is way more than you thought you signed up for. Glaciers of discomfiture, heaving slowly through the mountains of the mind and worn ruins of the body. Oozing titans of crushing sensory input well beyond what man is built to endure. The return trip, is the longest march of all.
The first time I've tried to smoke on my own I've got a lung burn, it was so painful I thought I was going to die. But soon after that terrible sensation thc kicked in like never before - it felt like this song
It's the kind of insanity that happens when you realize your whole life has been a lie, you have nothing left to live for and the world is nothing but a shit ball hurling thru space.
Scientifically spesking, the universe is always drifting closer and closer to absolute chaos. A gradual shift to the end is only natural. The sun will burn out one day. In a jillion years
Dopethrone was THE album that got me into loud music. I remember getting the album when I was 16 or so, and that I had read online or something that music of such nature was meant to be blaring loud. So I cranked the volume up on my Sony behind-the-ear now-retro headphones and entered bliss. Ill never forget that feeling. TO this day I still blast all my music and enjoy going to loud as hell rock and metal shows. EVERYONE SHOULD SEE SLEEP...I have yet to see Electric Wizard. I love Doom Mantia into Ivixior Bphase Induction.
The thing with this album that I can't determine if I prefer it or, is the fact that they never mute their guitars. Not for one fucking second It makes a head fucking sound, like it really possesses you, like its sole purpose is to force you as its obedient slave. The guitars refuse to give balance to the orchestra, it never stops, there's noise through and out. People who've seen them live know what I'm talking about. I thought I was gonna get permanent hearing damage. The they would never cut the guitars off, not between songs, the feedback would go and Jus would tune his guitar but there would never be one second of unnoisyness. But this is what drives it, this is what makes it so good, the sound is thick you don't notice it at first, you're just swept off your feet. Only problem is that there's no proper escalation for verse transitions, you know, when another riff is supposed to explode in like at "get off my case motherfucker" section. It's done with the second guitar player joining in and playing the riff with the other guitarist but it's impossible here 'cause both guitars are already ringing at full volume. Are they switching between effects mid-song, to make the guitar sound different when the riff escalates to make it sound like it escalates?
Fuck yeah man! This riff is the shit. This is one of their masterpiece songs. arguments can be made for others... or that this isn't one; all subjective lol. Just my opinion... But yeah, this album is so unique, flows super nicely, is just so opressive and heavy, has fantastic riffs and solos, and utilizes micro tonal and psychedelia influences super well. This album goes hard as fuck. Just so fuzzy and heavy. Every single song is fantastic. This song and Doom Mantia are the best songs on this album. For me, Saturnine is the best song they've ever recorded (off WitchCult). Saturnine, Rites of Drugula, Burnout, Funeralopolis, Doom Mantia, and Return Trip. Those are their masterpieces. But yeah. Fucking love EW. Hope this finds you well my dude.
i havent done any psychedelics or other stuff but listening this on weed always made me trip no matter what ive done on weed only this song had that much of an effect

Haha .. I'm 54 and turned my 26 year old son onto the Wizard a couple years ago.
Beastie boy fucking awesome!! My pops introduce me to a lot of music all genres I’m forever grateful for that and ur son will be to trust me! This Bass man, absolutely brutal! every time i play this song its an adventure!
I think this song tells the story of a man who can’t die. He lives for hundreds of years, seeing all of humanity’s wrongdoings, and once he can’t take it anymore, me gouges his own eyes out.
I by Meshuggah be like:
Jesus, methinks.

Anton Lavey, Eric Harris (Columbine shooter), Stephen King, One of the Nazgul, and lastly Darth Maul.
More evidence that this band Time Travels
Matt Line more than likely jeffery dahmer the cannibal, not stephen king
Time travel makes you gay .
It's just Anton LaVey and some of his followers. artofalbumcovers.tumblr.com/post/96310481984/electric-wizard-come-my-fanatics-1997-from-a
Matt Line i thought it was Levay and Stephen King..but the others are just unknown demons...
@@morgoth2425 it looks like Stephen King from Pet Semetary movie
It's like two demons sitting in each ear screaming riffs that looks like black fire. that's how huge the heaviness in this song.
When listened on repeat for a hours it sounds like complete album❤
Whenever i wake up from a nightmare, this is my go to comfort music. Makes me feel at peace inside.
“I HOPE THIS FUCKING WORLD!!!... FUCKING BURNS AWAAAAYYY!!!!”

HAHAHAHA
well Steven king was a pretty big Lovecraft acolyte.
Its Lavey and his bros doing a ritual from the documentary "The power of the witch"
I played this song for my non-metal classmate. He almost died.
hahahaha - how's he doing now?
Last 3 minutes of this song is the most hypnotizing HEAVIEST thing I've ever heard.
Electric Wizard make other metal bands seem like britney spears to me
Douglas Young these guys are straight to the point.
What do you mean? Britney kicks ass.
I don't remember wanting to fuck any metal bands when I was 14 either.
Listen to Darkthrone and Burzum
@@panagiotisgialouris1654 Her own ass on music videos, yea sure I get your point!
*chuckles*
This is totally what I have been looking for. Such a good bass
That feeling when a song is so heavy every fibre of your being just goes "FhUCCKKKK" and your eyes roll in the back of your head ♥
Fibre of my libre
This song is so heavy that my browser crashed in the middle of playing it
That actually happened btw, not even a joke
I CAN FEEL MY BRAIN VIBRATING
I can't believe I only discovered them a year ago.
Dude I just recently discovered Electric Wizard.
2 days till 4/20, making the playlist, this one is a must
My weed just smoked me.
Good
My smoke just weeded me
1:44 is the baddest goddamn riff ever man. If I was a wrestler, I would come out to that riff for sure
Sounds like love
Well fucking said lsa puts me out to sleep bruh I wish it did me like sass does
When I listen to Electric Wizard I always make sure my neighbors do as well.
6:52 *enters trance*
*dies*
The first time I've tried to smoke on my own I've got a lung burn, it was so painful I thought I was going to die. But soon after that terrible sensation thc kicked in like never before - it felt like this song
This music. Nothing SANE about it. I mean that in a positive way.
In a jillion years
@@johndough8219 The best comment I've read in a long time. My state of mind exactly!
This popped up in the recommended bar for no reason that I can tell, and I'm glad it did.
You know the songs a winner when the vocals dont come in till after the 3 minute mark
Only listen to this with good speakers or headphones!!!!!!!!!!
Exactly, some music can't be played on a phone.
1:44 is one of the most menacing riffs in the business. It’s the greasiest shit I’ve ever heard
I never get sick of this song, total doom epicness.
heaviest bass ever
Ahhh...The Wizard...The Wizard...
Stephen Franciosa seen them live in Hollywood, absolutely fuckin amazing show
saw Sleep and EW, its worth to see sober or not...
sleep's live shows are fucking sick
Wasn't impressed with them live. I hate to say it but it wasn't really the same after they got rid of this albums rhythm section.
Stopped at the park on my way home last night around 3am to have a toke and finish my last beer while listening to this song. Was a trip.
4:10 Story of my life.
That 2:41 riff along with the guitar is the heaviest thing I've ever heard
Hope this finds you well my dude.
it's 2017 now and i still can't move
Legend has it he is still immobile to this day...
2018 and still immobile
I'm playing this one on my grandfathers funeral saying to everyone this was his favorite jam
they played this live in Boston last night and holy HELL was it heavy.
I was there..
me too
This fuzzes so much, I had to shave my teeth.
Still one of the best songs I've ever played.
i havent done any psychedelics or other stuff but listening this on weed always made me trip no matter what ive done on weed only this song had that much of an effect

8:29 the way he starts to wail and scream. Get's me every time. "no...no..O, Fuck!"
I'm making a return trip to this song. For about the hundredth time!
Probably the best doom metal band of today
Какая прекрасная музыка, жаль раньше не слышал эту комманду. Превосходно,тягуче ,тяжело и медленно ,все как я люблю.❤
