  • COURSE DESCRIPTION:
    This course will supplement previous courses offered by Sprinklermatic University in a series on fire protection systems. Students will become familiar with dry pipe fire protection systems, preaction systems, and the Viking Firecycle system. Students will be able to implement the knowledge delivered in the classroom at the hands-on training riser systems on site.

    The only reason there is a hook to hold the clapper is that on a differential alarm valve,
    the main drain is under the clapper unlike a water system where the drain is
    above the clapper. So this allows draining the system after it tripped. The
    main drain is placed so because the drain valve is watertight but not airtight,
    so there would be air loss through the main drain and if compressor’s off or
    not strong enough to compensate the air loss, system will tripped and that can
    cause a lot of damages if system came froze.

    this is great.. But the know-it-alls in the class should be edited out or something. It looks like a classroom. If they actually do know everything, why are they there? It's very distracting.

      To join one of these classes you have to already be employed. These classes are for licensing purposes. These guys have probably been in the field for 2+ years
