  • SwayPro by Blue Ox is a weight distributing hitch that prevents trailer sway. SwayPro relies on tension to keep its spring bars taut and the brackets ensure that pressure from the spring bars will keep the trailer in line with your towing vehicle. SwayPro uses weight distribution technology with built-in trailer sway prevention. It is computer designed and geometrically optimized to ensure the highest quality trailer sway prevention and weight distribution without extra adjustments. Sway prevention is built into the hitch head, which has an open design, allowing for easy access to tighten the hitch ball. With this built-in sway prevention, in the event that your trailer would sway, one of the sway bars becomes more loaded than the other, keeping the trailer centered and in line with the towing vehicle. This built-in sway prevention is safer than traditional friction sway controls that are designed to slow down the trailer sway, but does not bring the trailer back in alignment with the towing vehicle.

    Should instruct putting blocks on truck and Airstream wheels to prevent movement when jack is extended. Otherwise excellent and very helpful video.

    Awesome video! Just bought an Airstream with the Blue Ox SwayPro. Did the walk through but couldn’t retain half the info. I was most concerned about safely hooking up the trailer to my truck. Your video was just like doing the walkthrough again. Thank you! Awesome instruction.

    Please encourage your customers to have the torque of the nut on the bottom of the ball, and the two thru bolts, checked after the first few hundred miles of towing.

    my swaypro came with a crappy wrench made by sway pro. I bought a breaker bar and put a 1" socket on it.

      Same. It definitely wasn't this easy. Thank you I'll be buying a breaker bar.

    So how did you determine it was the 9th link?

    • @charliestory2143
      @charliestory2143 3 года назад +3

      The ninth link is suggested by Blue ox, but you go to the tenth if more sway control is needed.

    I had the chains and I replace them with the Lippert 335852 Straptek Weight Tension Technology Kit. This make this process so much easier. I've been much happier with the straps than with the chains.

    Are these the BOLT ON clamps or are they drilled into the frame? It's hard to tell in the video. Did you have any issue installing these with the battery box in the way?

    Should spring bars be parallel to frame of trailer when under tension? Will it damage frame if too tight. Mine seemed to low first time out.
