I’ve got the under frame hitch. Didn’t realize that until going to pick it up. Put the L brackets at lowest point, but it was a real pull to get the bars on. I found 3 2x4’s to go under the jack for preload. My question is how do you know how close the L bracket should be to the bar. I am looking for long brackets but no luck. Terrible expensive compared to the normal ones!!!! $30 vs $100.

According to the instructions from my Blue Ox TrackPro rated for 600lbs of tongue weight, it says to "Center the L bracket mounting holes on the backing plate over
the marked area so that the offset is towards the front of the trailer on each side." It appears the backing plates in this video are just the opposite of that. Is it ok to flip the backing plate in either orientation? Thanks!

Yes, you can flip, for the Airstream Version, specifically with the Basecamp we advise the reverse position.

I have a Jayco Eagle using the 1,300 lb spring bars and my hitch is under slung. I have to raise the trailer tongue with hitch, pretty high and I’ve still got a difficult time with the S wrench! Do I need to change out the L brackets for the ones with extra adjustable holes to lower them? I can’t believe it’s this hard to install spring bars!

@@blueoxproducts roger! and i can't find anyone testing the head sway control; is the friction 4-point enabled once there is pressure on the bars? they seem to rotate freely when not under load. not sure how to find this out, since no one mentions it (compared to the Husky TS)
