I get it but its 30 years of experience screwed. I'm over I guess. Before Photoshop it was Digital dark room, I guess it's my career over, but I am using it I am enjoying it, I guess one has to move with the times.
Blown away. To think I’ve spent hours, days, years editing photos and now it’s happening in minutes. I’ve struggled with hair, grass, removing stuff, making people look younger….this may make the high subscription price a bit more worth it.
it's mad eh, yesterday, using one of spoon's tutorials, i made three original videos, scripted, narrated, stock photos, edited with music and voice over, just from the title of the video. that's all i did was type the title for a video - crazy.
Don't give them any ideas... it's expensive enough.

Can it be used to merge/match skin tones? For example if I want to paste my friend's head onto a body builder, will it match the skin between the head and body?

This is pretty interesting. I didn’t like how Photoshop changed the background behind the hikers when it generated them. Pretty great for a Beta, but I hope they integrate layers into the system by default when working additively like that. I mean, that’s the benefit of Photoshop! This would help eliminate the object selection and shrinking and growing masks all the time.
You can also make a more refined selection rather than a large rectangle, which would have helped retain more of the original background
@@spoongraphics Thanks for that tip. I actually got to download and play with it. I still wish it could understand generating an image with an alpha channel instead of a background. Maybe someday… I’ll have to give them feedback.
can i clone an image i already have? for example, i want to put a cell phone (image i have) in someone's hands. how do i do it?
Not really sure how your version is giving such good results, mine just puts random faces in to images. Some things about it are good, but it's really weird.
I've been playing with this for a week or two and I have a new hobby! Taking images of my favorite MTG cards and having it fill out the art behind the borders/text, it is amazing how well it can match the vibe of the original art.
Did you by any chance get a job at Wizards of the Coast :D

This blows my mind. Makes me think that people will look for more gritty handmade stuff coming in future years. Super Helpful for PSD.
Maybe for the novelty, but I don't think people care so long as the end result is of good quality. End user enjoyment always trumps aesthetic philosophy.
You go bit fast without explaining how you do it. how do you get that arm to appear ? I tried expanding the pic but cant it to generate an arm.
i think its very hit and miss, they must be making changes to the server its going though as if you screen shot the video and try to do the same the results are different that said it clearly is working it out in real time so thats expected to not get the same, thats a good thing as means no two artists would get the same final. but yer i get lots of messy results especially using it to do say blue eyes on someone it horrific lol
Is there anyway to fill/replace if you already have the source? Like swapping a person from picture into another and correctly colour matching skin tone etc
Your tutorial is very clear but Genfill is giving me silly options. Not even related to my prompts. :(
I've tried this for a couple of days and now playing with Stylar, any tutorials on that?
I have an Etsy shop were I create personalized magazine covers and posters and I often get photos from clients that need a missing arm or remove an additional person, etc and this tool has sped up my workflow and made my work so much easier.
It's amazing how tasks that would previously taken considerable work can now be done automatically with the click of a button!
This tool will replace you, unfortunately

I'm not able to see the Contextual Task Bar either automatically or under window in the Photoshop Beta version I have. (The 24.0.0 version) Any ideas on how to make this work?

My first try did not work out. So as for my first try I am not very impressed. I tried same you did with the hand covering the eye. This did not work for me when I tried on a dog.

One idea I’m excited to try out is how easy it makes compositing in Photoshop. Hopefully you can roughly cut out source images and paste them into the canvas, then let Generative Fill blend them in… Expect a video if it works out!

Is generative fill only available in the Beta version currently? I just installed the full version and can't find generative fill anywhere. Or is it related to the capabilities of your pc/system?
i have the contextual bar tab? but for some reason no generative fill at all :( anyone know how to fix?

the generative fill option is not there for me (everything else is though)
Uploaded a few examples on my IG, complete background replacements and able to add objects like buildings / ships. It matches the lighting (even night photography) just low resolution right now. Have to render 1024px squared to prevent blur so it can take a while

Hey spoon, not sure if youll see this but I think it would be awesome if you could find a way to do a Hotline Miami style in photoshop, similar to how you did the airbrush/old timey painting look
