Thats pretty pointless … why … because the prices for exact the same part can vary by hundreds of pounds. How do you choose parts … you sit down … give it a thought what you want … first of all style … do you want fancy glass panel pc or classic closed one … RGB or not … black or white? Then you start sourcing the parts … mobo for example … depends on budget, preference and needs … means number usb, Bluetooth, WiFi, overclocking etc … usually an ATX and whether entry level, high end or mega high end is dependent on budget … but also style (with white you are more limited) … I am doing a new build right now and mobo budget is up to 700£, checked test results mainly to see whats available and choose the one with required features and preferred style. This you do with all components … the parts must fit with your build like RAM & CPU. Once you got the mobo you can adjust style to mobo style. You should compare prices online … RAM … I looked through whats available and picked those where style, performance and quality and price met my expectations. You usually have the choice between pricy mega high end and cheaper regular high end products. What should not be skimped on? If you want a high end build … none … if you want a cheap … non visually attractive build you can go for more basic components that are not all flashy and shiny. Usually you are charged more for quality … does not mean expensive is always better. I avoid including unknown no name components without available tests. Most people have brand preferences. I combine Rog Strix … fans I love Lian Li … aio NZXT was the most attractive to me … as glass panel got cablemods … GPU I love NVIDIA’s Founders Edition … best is to crawl the web for best offers …

Fwiw, I just built my pc and it's really designed to be foolproof. i.e, cables can basically only ever go in one way since they have little clips on specific sides to lock them in one direction. Parts that feel the most like you're breaking something is just putting in the ram, pulling down the cpu retention lock, and slotting in the gpu. Even on those, you can put in quite a bit of force without breaking anything.

this was a great instructional video, people always do the physical build but never explain how to update bios, then install windows, then update windows, then install drivers and then finally applications wanting to be used or played. or itll be a seperate video that like no one watches. you did leave out a lot of info part to part but you did get the main point and main explanation across. with the AIO you did mount it incorrect, if youre not mounting it as an exhaust on the top, yes you can indeed mount it on the front or side panel, but the tubes should be on the bottom. as the pump circulates new water the hoses over time degrade and will evaporate some water, it creates air bubbles, if the tubes are at the bottom the air bubbles sit at the top of the radiator and will never be circulated to the pump, with the tubes at the top the air will sit in the tubes and will be pulled into the pump and will ruin the pump. yes it does take awhile for this to happen, but an AIO should be fine for 5 ish years, or until you upgrade your cpu, which is 4-6 years for most people

Correct me if I’m wrong, but if the exhaust fans are on the radiator, would that not mean that the cpu isn’t getting cooled as much since hot air is going through the radiator instead of cool air? I thought the fans on the radiator cool it down by sucking/pushing cool air through.

Its not that straight forward as there are different opinions … It still cools by removing heat coming from the radiator and gets it out immediately … but usually it is recommended to use the radiator as intake fans. Some just say that this way the heat from the radiators is pushed/pulled straight into the inside of the PC where you do not want hot air. But thats removed by the exhaust fans.

@jacobhoover4393 it was extremely easy. I did watch about 10 pc building videos just to not make mistakes. Updating the bios was the scariest part. (It's not required, btw). Make sure if you get a strong gpu that you get a powerful psu. Otherwise, you might not have enough pcie connectors.

quick tip: when following a well setup tutorial like this, follow it to the tee. its really easy to screw up your first time and either ruin the system or a cause for you to restart

Its straight forward … in simple words … you have a limited number of fan and RGB ports on the motherboard … hence you must link up your fans and RGB in the PC so the number of fan and RGB ports on the motherboard fit. Eg … linking up 10 case fans to 1 or 2 case fan ports … or 15 RGB devices to 1 or 2 RGB ports.

I started building computers when I was 8 (I'm 40 now). It's good to know not much has changed aside from technology.
I recommended this video to someone looking to get her kid a gaming PC with the insistence that she instead help her child build one. This video is invaluable, as will be the impact it'll have on her kid's life. Great work!
