I'm a computer engr and building PCs since early 90s... This video is simply top notch. No wasted words.. clear and concise instructions and many timely placed pro tips. And the way the info was presented is simply very professional.
Before ur previous pc build I must have watched more than 100 full pc builds and nothing came close to yours, you just cover all possibilities and older/newer parts/ways. This one is great as well
Best tutorial I’m actually looking into buying parts to build the PC and found this gem! Actually end up watching the whole video without any parts and feel pretty confident about building the PC. I work in maintenance and use laptop’s in a daily basis and do some slight modifications like ram and ssd etc… but always felt like a bit nervous about building my own PC but with a detail video like this I definitely will try it! Thanks.
Nice. I built my first pc 5 years ago. I'll be building my second one later this week. Just browsing various YT videos to make sure I don't forget anything. This is by far the easiest in depth guide to follow, without all the unnecessary bloated info dump. I respect a lot of the other YT creators, but for me, this guide is the best one yet.
I've built PC's many times over the past 15 years- this video was freaking AMAZING for ease of use, clarity, knowledge, and just all around info- thanks for the time and effort you put in- sincerely appreciated- long time builder and PC enthusiast!!!

FYI one can use their phone and enable usb tathering to gain internet, if they dont have ethernet of wifi adapter, granted the connection will be slow but its a neat trick
I learned how to build my first PC from your videos all the way back in 2015/2016. I still have the same computer with the same components from the first startup in 2016 running to this day. I've gotten all my parts to build a complete new PC and there was no question coming to your channel to get refreshed on how to build a PC properly. Thank you seriously🙌
Best dedicated PC build with every detail tutorial I've ever seen! Which other RUclipsr will make this much dedicated video? This must have cost a lot of work, but its worth it 😅
Dude I've watched this like a dozen times talking myself into biting the bullet and building my very first pc. This is like my 13th time watching but I am currently doing the final steps to kissing consoles goodbye. I went with this: Hyte y60, Motherboard Asus B650-E, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Nvidia Geforce RTX 4090, G Skill Flare X5 series 32GB, Kingston 4tb, Lian Li GA ll LCD 360 cooler, and a Corsair RM1000e power supply. Went through fun times. Went through stressful times. Wrapping up though I'm decently proud I think I did a pretty good job especially with the wire routing.
@phantomgaming31410 while at micrcenter in Indianapolis, and I have to say top notch sales associates going above and beyond to a noob like me, as I was telling them which products I was looking at and it was my first time they were like go big or go home respect lol. What I wound up with literally tears through games. I don't have the lag I was used to while blaming my internet which wasn't to blame. I also won't have to upgrade for quite sometime which is why I went with what I did. Gone are the days of needing the new consoles and I did play Xbox and ps. Honestly well worth the time, energy and money I invested in it. Gamers game and this gives me the opportunity to enjoy games I want to play on my terms and with great quality. The best investment I've ever made when it comes to gaming.
I just built my first pc after saving up for a few months. Everything went smoothly and I didn’t have any problems at all setting everything up thanks to your video!
Thanks Edgar this video was xtremely usefull for me as the first time building a PC, two weeks later everything is working fine, now waiting for a future upgrade to a lian li case and fans. Your content is amazing and the step by step made it easier.

Yea techsource, i’ve been watching you since like 2018, you’re the reason i know how to build computers, no one creates better in depth detailed videos on how to build a pc, this is beautiful
I love this video. I also love building PC’s and every time I do a build (usually for a friend bc unfortunately I can’t afford to build a PC for myself 3-4 times a year lol) I watch your video in the background. Unless you’re professionally building computers daily, you always run the risk of overlooking something small or forgetting some of the awesome advice/tips offered in this video. I didn’t think there was much room for improvement on your last video but you did it. Especially in the AIO/radiator/fan area. Seriously thank you, this is possibly the most helpful and thorough video on RUclips!

I can't be thankful enough! Thanks a lot for this video, just finished building my very own first PC some days ago with your guide, and it was very easy! And to anyone who's planning on building a PC, good luck ya'll, I know you can do it :3
I appreciate this guide more than I can ever express. As a TR installer, I think the following section should be reordered: 10:24 :- 1. open the CPU socket first, following the screw order 2. only NOW remove the CPU from its container in the current video order, you'd remove the CPU from its case then have to put it down somewhere to remove the socket screws? In my case, CPU socket screw 2 would not engage, so I started tightening screw 3 and eventually the socket was down far enough I could tighten screw 2 to torque, then torqued screw 3. Thanks again.
Bro I have recorded this whole video to my camera role in case I forget what the video is titled. This is because I plan on building a budget gaming pc one day that is 2500 I love your content and the amount that this video what detailed and helps literally any problem you could run in to while building a gaming pc. Keep it up!

@@MrAnimescrazy About $1000 budget - 12700k, 64GB DDR5 and RTX 3060 12GB
@@UnderCtrl you really dont need 64gb ddr5 with a 3060 12gb
@@stealthkudasaii9286 So I've finally built my PC and have gone with 32gb ram because the 64gb ram went out of stock. My plan was to get 64gb and upgrade the GPU in like a year.
@@UnderCtrl Do you know how relevant ryzen 5700x will be? Im planning to pair it with an rtx 3060, or maybe my cpu is too powerful
This one is great as well
Thanks so much bro, just built my first pc (literally finished like 20 mins ago) and and installing drivers now!
Best build guide I’ve seen by miles!!
Hi bro did u build a am5?
Watching this video in advance (gonna watch when im buidling too), Im building my first PC this friday, i cant wait.
Anyone else watching the entire tutorial even though you know how to make one? 😂
@@TechSource thanks for the heart! ❤️
Yeah😂
Yup! 😂
Yess😂❤
Best tutorial I’m actually looking into buying parts to build the PC and found this gem! Actually end up watching the whole video without any parts and feel pretty confident about building the PC. I work in maintenance and use laptop’s in a daily basis and do some slight modifications like ram and ssd etc… but always felt like a bit nervous about building my own PC but with a detail video like this I definitely will try it! Thanks.
I haven't built a PC in almost 10 years. Just built a new one and this guide helped soooo much. Booted on first power on. Thank you!
Let's goooo updated version!! This is going to be very useful when I build my PC soon.
You look like Frenchie from The Boys
Lol😂
He does 😂
Ur right 😂
I really thought so, like that face.. i've seen somewhere 😂
Yooo
This is some incredible timing for a refresh because I'm building my pc In a month ❤
Lets goooo
U buying a kit or getting every component individually??
@@vaishnavsnair4517 I'm getting every components individually and gonna be building my first ever PC
I'm pumped 🤌
I'm gonna build mine tomorrow!
What's your specs gonna be 😱😼😮💨
Techsource pc build guide > linus tech tip pc guide
heck yea, though id argue linus is more complicated and thats why techsource is better
Always look forward to your vids Ed. Your other pc build guide is what got me through my first build!
Funfact, i’m watching this video not because i don’t know how to build a pc but because i don’t know what to watch anymore😂
I was able to build my first computer!! Thanks! Time to play some assetto corsa!
I've built PC's many times over the past 15 years- this video was freaking AMAZING for ease of use, clarity, knowledge, and just all around info- thanks for the time and effort you put in- sincerely appreciated- long time builder and PC enthusiast!!!
bro idk why am watching this even tho i aint building nothing 💀
who else pressed the rewind button more than a 100 times
Its been years since i started watching Tech source, i had a laptop at that time, 3 years later, i build my own and have a cool set up, to whoever needs to hear this, trust the process, all the hard work will pay off.
Thank you Ed for the amazing content.
Thank you sir, I am from India and from the last 6 months I am buying all my pc items. Yesterday I finished building my entire setup and with any problem. My pc stared without any crashes...and now I can run any heavy games at the end of the day and I can relax..
Thanks a lot!!!
This video was very helpful for me...
❤❤
I just watched this whole video without the intention to build a computer.
1:42:49 have anyone noticed him dancing in the monitor reflection
This must have cost a lot of work, but its worth it 😅
Who else watched this but knows damn well they ain’t gonna build anything😂
@@InsaneFlaGATORS Good for you man, hopefully one day I can afford to buy a chassis🤣🤣
@@InsaneFlaGATORS Nice, I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!
Once i build my pc, I'll forget everything.😂
the cables part sucks 😭
It is annoying I agree.
@@TechSource yep 😭
Ik😭
Build me one 😢😢
I just built my first pc after saving up for a few months. Everything went smoothly and I didn’t have any problems at all setting everything up thanks to your video!
Thanks Edgar this video was xtremely usefull for me as the first time building a PC, two weeks later everything is working fine, now waiting for a future upgrade to a lian li case and fans. Your content is amazing and the step by step made it easier.
He said “Just like my friend Harry!” Freaking hilarious man! I’m slowly acquiring parts over time, paycheck to paycheck. Thinking I’ll be building by end of summer. I’ve already downloaded this video for quick reference. Thank you sir!
Dude, holy shit its been a journey. Thank you for everything. I just finished my whole build and windows 11 is currently installing
Just built my first pc today following this video. I was gonna wait for a friend who knows a lot about pcs but this video gave me the confidence to build it myself. Thank you TS.
I cannot honestly thank you enough and show you enough gratitude as you deserve. You are such a good person. Your smile displays your wholeheartedly nature. You are able to explain so well not missing a single point. Thus, making your tutorial videos to be most comprehensive and precise. Love you brother. Always stay like this. I know you such content requires enormous amount of hardwork and efforts. And the sheer determination you have to benefit your audience, displays the passion you have to teach and lead others. Indeed, you are the best teacher in RUclips. No competition !😊😉
Haha I wrote so much because I felt it and had to convey as much as I could as a fan of yours, from my heart 😜🤪
Best pc building guide in RUclips. Very clear, thorough, and uncomplicated.
Bro I’m 13 and I built my pc when I was 11 I couldn’t tell u how many times I watched your first vid. Now that I’m looking to build another one, there’s a new vid! Bro u are a life saver keep it up.

Thank you so much. This is the type of "How to build a pc guide 2024" that people actually need.
Hey Ed! Just wanted to say I built my first PC 2 days ago, and your tutorial hit just about every point. You obviously couldn’t cover every single nuance involved in PC building considering there’s a billion different component combinations, but you damn near hit every point. This was insanely helpful. Preciate you 🤝
you are the ULTIMATE youtuber to watch if anyone is building pc
Thank you for actually breaking the 360 fan. it definitely helped cause i couldn’t find nothing

I used your 2018 guide to build my first pc in 2022. But now i will be using this guide for my next system, the work you put into this was amazing and i learned alot despite already knowing how to build a pc so thank you man!
Same time i got my first PC 3 years ago, second time i got my second PC. Been fun building both builds with ya
Going to also throw in a comment here and say thank you for this video! I used it as a guide for my first-ever build and it made the whole build go smoothly. Thanks for being so in-depth with every step and explaining everything clearly
Successfully built my desktop the first time! Thank you so much for the guide.
Built my first pc step by step for a pc you built in 2015 in one of these, I am gonna build my 4th in about a week, good to see your still grinding!
Right on time!!! I was browsing and watching a ton of separate videos to learn each thing, whhen finally came across yours and its a one stop shop. Ive just ordered my parts for my pc and will definitely be watching your video when they all come!
Just built my first PC and you were extremely helpful. Thank you!!!!!!
Idk how many lives you have saved, but you just saved mine.
Thanks a lot man!
Used this guide to build my first PC without issue. Was contemplating paying someone else to do it but I came across this video. Must have watched it 5 times.
Glad I came across your video first time building a gaming pc and you don’t know how much you’ve helped me! Not another video on RUclips has helped me this much! Thank you so much
I can't be thankful enough! Thanks a lot for this video, just finished building my very own first PC some days ago with your guide, and it was very easy!
And to anyone who's planning on building a PC, good luck ya'll, I know you can do it :3
I appreciate this guide more than I can ever express.
As a TR installer, I think the following section should be reordered:
10:24 :-
1. open the CPU socket first, following the screw order
2. only NOW remove the CPU from its container
in the current video order, you'd remove the CPU from its case then have to put it down somewhere to remove the socket screws?
In my case, CPU socket screw 2 would not engage, so I started tightening screw 3 and eventually the socket was down far enough I could tighten screw 2 to torque, then torqued screw 3.
Thanks again.
Bro I have recorded this whole video to my camera role in case I forget what the video is titled. This is because I plan on building a budget gaming pc one day that is 2500 I love your content and the amount that this video what detailed and helps literally any problem you could run in to while building a gaming pc. Keep it up!
I am currently playing on a pre built pc that I got during the pandemic, but now I am finally obtaining all the parts to do my very first ever custom build :D I actually learned quite a bit from this guide, I never thought about negative or positive pressure until now, same with the windows install. Thank you so much for this video!!
Just finished building my first using this very guide. What a breeze it was. Best guide out there hands down. Thanks for your hard work producing this guide and all the other content and advice you give. Love from Scotland :)
