First builds aren’t easy but an a great experience to learn congrats on a brand new build, also my advice is to really research parts even if their older. Older parts aren’t as appealing but do just as good has new parts but ultimately it’s whatever you want you know.

VERMAX! This video is actually super helpful, I have been recently looking at building a computer, instead of playing on my school laptop, instead of the 5600, I decided to go for the Ryzen 5 3600, as its super good for the price, and I also got a used graphics card, its a 1650 super! - so watching this video honestly made me feel even more motivated, to put in the work, get money and complete my build.

There are 3 sizes of motherboards ergo cases that you can get. Theres atx, mini atx and micro, in that order from largest to smallest. Also depending on the size of each component... your graphics card might be too large, your cpu cooler/fan could run into your ram cards or if its too tall your case, and if your using a liquid cooler the radiator it might not fit in the case either. All depends. Sometimes its best to look at other builds to get an idea of what works good together. Nzxt has a cool beginner build kit I'd recommend for well... beginners. It comes with a picture book and all the pieces you need, plus the picture book reminds me of those Lego books you get when you get a new Lego kit. Plus the finished product always looks totally rad.

wonderful job for your first build! you have great potential. like you have addressed in the video that you had to compromise performance for asthetics (and thats totally okay!).
One piece of advice is that the 5600 draws so little power that a regular cpu air cooler should sufficiently provide cooling. but you can keep the AIO for future upgrades of course!

Saw some mistakes during the video. You need to apply some thermal paste onto the cpu before adding the aio.. Also, installing a aio would be easier if you would've laid the case down with the back and then from there go to the back of the case and sort out the kables etc.

I have the same case. If you put the aio on top with the fans on the inside and then get 2 fans for the front that are RGB, it will make a big difference in appearance. The small motherboard problem does suck though. Even if you got a better one, you'd essentially have to completely rebuild the PC... Judging by your recent videos though, it looked like you went from this to something much more expensive though already.

    3:09 maybe there's a mistake here
For mid range CPUs such as the Ryzen 5 5600 series there's almost no need to install an AIO. Sometimes, Intel processors tend to overheat a lot more, but AMD is well known for its temperature attention policies. Unless you're planning to do hard overclocking on that CPU, you should have better installed a heatsink; even the default stock cooler could have done the job.
In conclusion, that AIO was kind of overkill, that could be classified as an unnecessary extra effort.

3:42 WRONG, and I assume you saw MANY "tutorials" and even official brand photos/videos do something like this. The hose should be at the bottom for the radiator in this type of configuration. Just keep in mind... air rises, water falls. So you want the water to fall to the bottom and the air to rise to the top. So place the hose to the BOTTOM. You may or may not have heard some strange sounds from the pump or even radiator. And/or you may have performance issues. It may seem fine, but could be even better and last longer if it is oriented properly.

W build but you could have utilised the budget a bit more efficiently
You shouldnt have gone for the aio cooler, your cpu already comes with a good enough cpu cooler.
You didnt need that rgb ram. Instead you should go for a more budget ram like t force Vulcan z but instead of 16gb, go for 32gb at the same speed. It will be more future proof.
That case while is good, you could have saved easily 30 bucks if you had went with a cheaper one like the phanteks p300a
And those cables while look good don't really add to performance so not necessary
With around 100 dollars saved, you can go for a better motherboard which is b550 and has 4 dimm slots and then instead of gtx 1660, you should have gone for a rx 5700 xt and instead of a 500gb drive you could get a 1tb drive or even a 2tb drive

If you have 4 slots on your motherboard and have 2 sticks of ram you need to put them in slot 2 and 4 for dual channel ram and some motherboards have the dual channel slots colour coded

Right now for my budget build (first build) I’m sitting at 32 gb of ram and a ryzen 7 5700g and I’m saving up for a better gpu (rx 6600xt or rx6700 xt I haven’t decided)

In my opinion it would have looked better if you had bought a bigger motherboard or a smaller case so it doesn't look empty

600-650W is pretty enough for mid tier builds, you just need a higher rated PSU, either Silver or Gold 80 plus

Amazing build, why choose black components on a pc with a white case, also you kind of cheaper out, you don’t need an aio if you get a cpu fan cooler it’s gonna be much cheaper and he will probably be able to get a good motherboard

Ive come up with a build that i like and thinking abt selling my pc for it. it has a i3 12100f and a rtx 3060. all of the other components are good like the ram with 3200mhz cl16 16gb and a 1tb ssd. even the case and everything else i think will look really clean.

I understand u made this vid for like a new learning experience but after going through so much hassle I might as well get a gaming laptop for the same price maybe a bit more and it’s not necessary to buy other accessories like a monitor(it is advised to use a separate keyboard as your laptop keyboard can get damaged and is expensive to replace) GOD BLESS
