After a devastating fire destroyed the Provo Tabernacle, President Thomas S. Monson astonished General Conference viewers when he announced the structure would be rebuilt as the second temple in the city.

What an announcement!
I’ve never seen an announcement that invoked such an audible response from the congregation while under the banner maintaining reverence (not being too loud).
The fact that it got a response under those conditions, says something about it’s significance. ❤️
