Such an amazing place that I am glad I can go through. When I joined in 1999 to do baptisms there, I knew I was where I had to be. At these iconic temples, I have received more answers through prayer. -ChadJames
I wish there was something like this for EVERY temple because I want to appreciate the details as I walk around and see more than just the sheer beauty. I WANT to be reminded of the bond between heaven and earth with the circle and square motif. I WANT to see the Columbine flower and be reminded of the Holy Ghost. These little details make my experience at the temple so much richer. Thank you so very much for this video!

@@victoria8801 Well, thank you! And glad to hear you have enjoyed the channel! I do hope to eventually do more temple videos, but for right now, I have been focused on the 3D modeling we are doing of Herod's Temple and Jerusalem at the time of Jesus. This has taken most of my time, but I'm still hopeful to someday get back into modern temple videos. For now it is ancient temples and their connections to modern temples!

City Center has long been one of my favorite temples. From the first moment I saw the interior dark wood I was in love! Then, I learned about the story of the fire and the restoration and the rich symbolism to remind us of our Savior's atonement and His ability to transform us, restore us, and make us into something far better than we could imagine. Finally, I had the chance to help multiple times to deeply clean the temple where I could observe, up close, the incredible detail of every aspect of the temple! Thanks for such a beautiful video!
Yup, one of my favorite temples. I had several incredible experiences listening to choirs and attending conferences in the original so to see it rebuilt was such a blessing.

I love how descriptive this video is. Makes me appreciate the how much care was taken when restoring this House of the Lord. I do wish videos like this would be prepared before temple open houses and dedications.

This is soooo cool! My company rebuilt all the stained glass in the mid 90s and then we were commissioned to build the new stained glass for the Temple. I love to see appreciation for the work that went into this place of worship. Thanks for putting this together. I love everything about this building! While the stained glass is my favorite part of the Temple, the seating in the instruction rooms has to be a close second of my favorite features.

A seperate donation center has one of the largest food collection and distribution facilities that there are, larger than a Costco, to help the hungry and those who are in need.

Nothing you've said negates the fact that this is unnecessarily extravagant and a waste of money. Even if I waste money, does it mean the Mormons don't? See the logical fallacy you've committed? Donating money doesn't make this less extravagant either. My argument still stands.

+Cade Ellsworth Payson is very detailed, but I would say the PCCT is still more detailed. Just as an example, the only other murals that can compare to the PCCT are the Nauvoo Temple murals. The woodwork, wallpaper, colors, trim, light fixtures, etc. only can compare to the Nauvoo temple (at least for modern temples). My next temple video will most likely be Payson, so check back in a few months. I have several projects on docket before, but the Payson Temple architectural video will be coming soon!

The work that has gone into the temple is amazing. The video is nice too, but can you create another video without the BYU Cougar reference? While it is a fun detail for members, I find it irrelevant and even potentially off-putting to my non-member friends. I was interested in sharing the video with them, but will not do so now. Thank you.
+David Wright Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the feedback, but the BYU reference will stay. The temple mural painters often do this, including animals, landscapes, etc. in the paintings to make a 'nod' so to speak to the city where the temple is. I would include the same detail for any other temple. I have since learned that one of the murals also include Mount Timpanogos, just as an example (which I would have included in the video had I know beforehand).

+Elizabeth Starley Really? You mean like former BY Presidents Holland and Oaks, and Elder Bednar? President Monson has a master's from BYU. U of U is a WAY different school now than the one President Hinckly, etc. went to. It's a total lobby school now where most of the professors hate the church and consider it oppressing to their "progressive" ideals. There are some professors there that say anti things about the church in their lectures.
Hey, what is the main thing that U students and Y students have in common? Answer? They BOTH applied to BYU.
