I’m carrying the S&W 2.0 compact currently. I think it’s trigger is much improved from the first generation and I love the 15 round magazine and a pair of spacer sleeves for 17 round magazines. The shield plus is definitely a great option. Nice job on your review 😊
I wish I could shoot this before buying it, but I did shoot a Shield plus at my local range & it was awesome for micro compact. Tried the P365x, Hellcat, Shield plus vs eachother & my current EDC which is a G43 (yes, 43), the Shield plus was the best of the bunch imo.
I shot the normal one of these. And it was great I also shot all the ones you mentioned. I'm sure it won't feel any different from the MnP 2.0 compact, if not feel better. I also ordered the one reviewed in this video. My wife got the shield and is awesome!
Try the new 3.6” compact.. it’s almost the width of the shield plus and shield carry comp.. but it’s true more like g19 size compact overall. It’s not a slim 9 trying it pretend to be full size it’s actually the reverse.. it’s a full-size that is pretending to be a slim 9. It’s a or more comfortable and shootable then others. As you carry the 43 already I’d suggest the cr920p over anything else tbh.. grip with the 13rn is same as my shield w flush fit mags.. you can throw on the 15 with mag sleeve from the X series.. the plus one base pad give a full front grip with same height I the rear of the handle where it prints as a flush fit g43. For edc i like having the options to size down for carry or size up as needed so never been a fan of the X type frames myself.. I can just use a larger mag when I want that grip size. Despite what people say I find the shadow trigger to be very similar in feel to the new shield plus triggers.. shield plus little lighter but the shadow is little crisper to me. Will work with all 48mos holsters and most 43x mos holsters.. the comp in the cr920p does a little more then the one on the shield carry comp imop.. I’m going from a shield to the cr920 and picked the cr920p over the shield carry comp.. All that said smith really has something with the narrow longer grips they do.. it makes it feel a lot more like a regular compact then a slim 9 and much easier to get a good purchase on then most.. and people don’t talk enough about how the return to zero is on the shields.. they seem snappy but they return to zero is amazingly fast and it settles down for the next shot very quick which is more important then recoil or pre height to getting fast shots.. the 920p is just a little better and faster for me which is why I made the change..
@@manuelpiston I too shot the normal Shield plus, I wish I could shoot the Shield plus carry comp vs the normal Shield plus as a side-by-side comparison.
@@fishrrelaxing9361 Thank you for the info, I'll have to see if I can find/hold the 3.6" compact at a local store. The S&W Shields definitely have a larger feeling grip than the other micro nines and feel better in my small hands. Printing is an issue for me (being short/small), so I agree with what you said about a pistol being small for edc and sizing it up as needed. I had a Sig fan boy gun store worker trying to show me how the Sig macro grip/frame is better than the Shield plus because you can get a full grip on the macro without magazine extensions. Again, I'm a short male (5' 4" with my boots on), printing is an issue, I couldn't conceal my G19, the macro has the same grip length. His thought process was: "well if you have to reload the pistol, you'll have to change your grip to let the magazine fall free". I'll admit it has been a training lesson with my G43, but I'm a civilian not a leo. The chances of me ever needing my edc in a self-defense situation are slim to none, the chance I'll need to re-load if I do is even slimmer, plus I'm responsible for every round fired and would have to justify every single shot in court. I get where he's coming from, but I need/want ultimate concealability from my pistol and that naturally comes with a smaller grip/pocket mag. Honestly the Shadow Systems pistols are on my radar, here again I wish I could "try before I buy" the CR920P. I've held the MR920 & DR920 and was quite impressed with the feel of the grip and the trigger pull (not something I can say for Sig). Sigs are ok, but I do not like the triggers on the P365 series. I'll see if I can get my mitts on a CR920(P) in a store before I make a final decision.
I just bought the Compact Carry Comp but haven’t shot it yet. I was thinking of getting the Shield Plus Carry Comp until I held it. The Shield Plus grip shape isn’t that different than the Shield which I do not like. I will not be getting the Shield Plus. Carry Comp or not. I carry the standard sized P365. It’s going to be difficult to dethrone that from my EDC.
It's a good gun but no need for the lights a extra sights for edc that just gets in the way i carry a plain jane G-26 bro it comes with 10 round mags and will hold all the other double stacks in 9 mm that GLOCK makes
I saw a comment from a different video saying with how many new pistols are coming out it makes it harder for the holster companies to keep up. So making it like that is easier for those companies to make them. Not sure how true that is but i have the gun and i just started training with a handheld flashlight.
RxM, Echelon, Shadow Systems , all got rid of optic plates, the hassle, expense, and the unnecessary higher mounting of optics. Come on gun companies, start improving your product. You don't even need to innovate, you just need to follow. Quit taking us for granted, its getting to be a little insulting that you don't do simple upgrades. Imagine if ar15 didn't have a railed top handguard with mlok sides and bottom.
I’ll be 21 in February, already added it to my cart will order it 2 weeks before my birthday. First gun ever 🕺🏽🕺🏽

I love mine…b/w it and my P365 AXG Legion, I feel I have two of the best edc guns on the market
Polymer version is good
May I ask, what holster are you using for this set up?
Hope you can give us a review on the metpro optics. Been seeing them around more and been wondering about their quality
Have you tried the CC9 yet?

I just don't get what they haven't put a damn light rail on these yet.

This shoot flatter than ramjet'd macro?
That’s Noice 👊🏼
Go to holsters for this setup?
Trex arms was one of the first companies to make holsters for it and i havent had any issues with mine
Sorry if I missed this on the video, but what red dot is that one?
Meprolight MPO PRO S
@ thank you.
It shoots ok, but it carries like a full size.
