I'm always thrilled to see a new S&W revolver without that ugly internal lock hole. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. The new sights, the enclosed backstrap boot grips, factory chamfering, and the 32 H&R Magnum chambering to allow for six shots in a J-frame are absolutely delightful features. I can only hope that a similar configuration is planned for a K-frame sometime soon!

These are smaller lighter guns. The comparison would be the k6 aluminum in 38, which has trash sights. Same price range. Similar weight.
I'll take the Kimber over a steel j frame, but Smith has the better aluminum gun with this version

Excellent❤, I love my 327 Smith but at times it is a tad to large and not a deep conceal carry.
Your take on the J frame looks to me as the answer to my demand for a modernized revolver approach.
I will definetly look more closely into it.

YES! I tried a 442 a while back but sold it because I couldn't find any grips that added trigger reach without extending below the grip frame and making the gun up-pocketable. I've also been wanting good sights for a long time. This really is the ultimate snubby revolver. Now do it in a K-frame.

Hogue makes some really great grips for these guns. The longer one is the easiest to shoot. The middle sized one is slightly smaller but still good. The small one which I don't recommend is about the same size as factory

I am very excited for these to start rolling out. The S&W lever action grabbed a lot of attention, but these (especially the .32 ones) are gonna be a real dream pocket gun. As someone who carries a .38 j frame and who has an old .32 long j frame, the .32 H&R j frame is gonna be an immediate buy for me.

They should add 327 mag, can shoot anything the 32 HH can. My other wish would be a 30 SC version that used moon clips. Higher capacity and would be much cheaper than 32 HH, at least from prices I see online.

I would LOVE to see a 3 inch 327 Federal Magnum with these same exact upgrades with a shrouded or exposed hammer! That might be the ultimate do-it-all revolver; carry, hiking, and kit gun.

I still think the PC Model 19 Carry Comps are the pinnacle of carry revolvers... I might like to see one with a titanium alloy cylinder and bobbed hammer. Just slightly lighter moving parts, like the 242 or 386 PD L frames or the 315 Night Guard K frame. Keep the steel frame and port to soak up the recoil. 357 hits hard like a 10mm, but with higher sectional density.

Look great. I prefer Altamont Bateleur style grips, but that's an easy fix. Everything else is spot on. Do wish you, or someone, would consider doing a similar upgrade to the 638, that would be my true ultimate carry J frame.

@@ericthered7226 They look good, feel good, and work well for me. But I'd consider any birdshead style grips that allows a full three finger grip a major improvement over boot style grips on a J-frame.
