    As much as you dive, it’d be cool to see more dive video throughout your videos.
    I love ‘em, and the knowledge but the eye candy would be nice.
    Funny enough, this one had a lot.

    I have always loved the water and the ability for us humans to be under the surface. Just now started to take this free diving little more serous and gonna go for it more this coming summer. Live up north in Sweden so its winter and cold now. But I did set a new PB of 04:02 on static breath holding on the living room floor. Before I hade about 02:50. Keep these videos coming I really like them, you got so mutch good stuff in them. Thanks

    Waaaaahhh cool, new videos every Thuesday aaaand Thursday? you a Beast :) can't wait, but I'am a bit sad, about you new start image, the old one in comic style was much more special (or still use it/a part for the adventure videos), then the new one. Ok the new one is more serious, but serious, I love you videos because you not so serious ;)
    My additional tips for the family (competition freedive discipline training) :
    - first note to my self: never ever eat salat in dahab again, is not that healthy that I imagine AT THE END :)
    - DIVE FOR THE PLEASURE, NOT THE NUMBERS
    - For a better feeling in the T, K or H lock I train many weeks with the Otovent, now I have a great control of my tongue.
    - Take you time before you dive. A easy and a relaxe dive can't start with stress. Enjoy every breath and think about happy situations.
    - At 20 to 25m don't forget your charge.
    - Always imagine your dive before you dive with all details, like how many pulls, kicks, strokes you need to freefall, too charge, how to turn back. The more routine you have, that relax the dive is.
    - In FIM start with short slow pulls, then after 5-8m a bit more and longer pulls, don't speed up at start. The same is after the turn, if you pull at the deep too strong and long you can harm your lung.
    - don't force a equalization, if it's don't work just turn and optimize next time you timing. I almost had a lung squeze because at 30m I press the last air from my lungs to charge, not good.
    - Don't forget to equalize your mask, except you want creepy eyes before Halloween
    - My personal fault was that I equalize too often in the freefall (every half second), so at the depth I had no air in the mouth. Now I equalize every 1-1,5 sec. and have much more air and a longer and relaxed enjoyable freefall.
    For the adventure freedive (the only reason why I train the top things) ... just dive and never dive alone ;)

    Hi Adam! Thank you for your video! at 3:23 you say "don´t train >3x a week, and dive is a training as well". When I do a CO2 table I notice that my besttime is MUCH better directly afterwards than it is directly before the table. So it seems to make sense to do a table directly before a dive session. According to you this wouldn´t be good.
    So... how could I benefit from the gain after the CO2 table without having the strain of the CO2 table? I don´t feel stretching is enough.
    Also, when you´re on vacation at a great diving spot, I´m sure you don´t limit your freediving to 3x a week? How do you handle it to not get the overtraining here?
    Would be great to get your reply on this "older" video of yours :)
    Thank you!

      I've always been able to go hands free. I've been told opposing things about it. Some say you must be born able to do it and others that anyone can learn to do it. I'm able to tense a muscle that feels like it's pulling on the eustachian tube. You will also see the area under my chin puff slightly like a frog. If you're not sure you can do it try this. Hum a note some seconds. Then try to open your tubes and keep them open. If you do it right the sound of the hum should be much louder and fill your head as the sound can travel to your inner ear more directly from inside your head. If you can do that then congrats, you can already VTO!

    • @tc4ester
      @tc4ester 7 лет назад

      Any tips for being able to hold them open. I can get a good "crack" to them but they dont seem to stay open. I'd like to get better because I cant really get them to stay open at all, and also cant really get them to crack underwater. I think i'm kind of using this in combination with a frenzel underwater.

    • @sanctious
      @sanctious 7 лет назад

      If you can get a crack then you might be able to train it. Try doing the same thing but slower. You might be doing it quite fast like 1/8 of a second. Try slowing it down and stretching the maneuver out for an entire second. The goal will be to familiarize your self with the necessary muscle more and increase deliberate control

    • @AdamFreediver

      I promise the BTV/VTO video is coming :)

  • @salviatrip7083

    I can't really train properly. But i still train. Do you think this is good...
    Week 1: co2, co2 (2x)
    Week 2: Apnea walks, o2,
    Week 3: repeat.
    I also take ice cold baths 3x a week, and sometimes i would do 3 sets of 30s breath hold underwater. My max is 4 minutes on land.

  • @alantaylor8184
    @alantaylor8184 3 года назад

    Funny how I have done these things naturally without ever having taken a free diving course, although “only” 80 ft deep and with no specialized equipment but carbon fins. But I have noticed with age that I can hold my breath longer, maybe associated with lower metabolic rate. My biggest challenge is mental adjustment to deeper depths and maybe a hand depth gauge and timer to make sure I leave enough time to surface without blackout.

    Ive watch a documentary. It was held in Phillippines way back 2013. A filipino dive up to 260ft deep withouth fins and wetsuit or any other gear, he just used mask and he's not even a proffesional freediver, Even professional freediver here in ph never thought that. He did not even finished Primary School. He compete just to earn small amount of money to sustain his family needs. I hope he will be known and compete into international freediving competition.

    During your dives, I never see you reach up to equalize, but in your video on that subject, you said that you still need to plug your nose to do it. Is there another way? Or am I just not observant?

    • @cleistocactus
      @cleistocactus 7 лет назад +4

      Emily T I feel the same. I rarely see these pros equalize. Something tells me when you get to their level they have like a turtle that comes up and pinches their nose for them. It's just a really tiny turtle and it also helps you equalize. Poseidon likes these men and women. He helps I bet
