He doesn't jump into air. It is an underwater cave called "Cenote Angelita" in Mexico which is also a halocline. A halocline occurs when fresh water sits on top of salt water and the difference in their salinity keeps them separate. The mist and the beach like effect that you see is hydrogen sulphide moving around independently in between fresh and salt water. 5:52 if you look closely you can see that it doesn't behave like tides on a beach. It's just a dense gas trapped between water with different salinity levels.

@@IronDragon1337 yes, there are physical layers under water like salinity and temperature, seen them many times as a diver - but this scene is shot upside down near the surface under an outcropping or cave.

I've always said that!!! We literally have outer space in our Huge oceans, you can fly in it,it's like air because you can't see it, random creatures around you....that's pretty cool.
The camera person might have had an oxygen tank just to be safe, but there have been documented instances of people holding their breath for 10-15min while spear hunting fish. It takes an insane amount of training
He doesn't look like he's under water to me he looks like he's flying around in his own dream. This very well made it clear to me how scared I am of wide spaces
I love how they shot the scenes to look like he was running and climbing through the forests of the sea. Very much a surreal dream! My fav was when he was shot swimming upside down near the surface of the water, but it was made to look like he was actually walking towards the ocean and leaping off into the water, only to float away instead of plunge below.
that's so true haha - I recently found out that when I'm riding a bike I can go faster and in any direction - way more convenient than walking like you were under water :D
There is something unbelievably captivating about his dives. I was fascinated by his TED talks and the descriptions he gave. I hold my breath for a max of 2 minutes and I dive up to 8 meters, and I am content, but Guillaume is a master and has opened our eyes to what humans are capable of.
As a free diver coming out the ocean to the crowd on the beach brings back memories more so when i first started. You cant believe theres a whole other world out there!

Omg u just said what I was thinking the whole time 😂
The ocean is like literally another world
95 percent of the ocean is unexplored and we know more about are solar system than Earth’s oceans
that sad? There’s no we. It’s actually scientist that know more about the solar system. You’re not part of that so don’t say we.
@@ChapoGuzman896 nah he is right its we. scientiests defently know more... but ''we'' defently know more about the universe and so on that our oceans why? because there is 95% of information about it
@@ChapoGuzman896 if you wanted to, you could research it.
@@ChapoGuzman896 ''we'' as in the human race, if we're talking about professions its possible to say that ''we'' know more about the ocean than the solar systems if for example we're talking about oceanographers.
One of the most beautiful things I have ever seen...
Legend has it that this dude breathes once every two years.
😂😂😂😂
Legend has it, that he continues to walk left on the sidewalk after he climbed those stairs 😂😂
how does he do it
So no one is gonna talk about the cameraman captured these beautiful shots !

@@abrahamling7292 okay?
I thounght exactly the same... The cameraman who captured such picturesque images is the actual artist in this video.
@@ulysses_grant his wife recorded it
@@killerkhalsa27 cameraWOMAN okay.
The way he just walks out at the end and seeing all those people who barely even scratched the surface is amazing
People who are this brave, are very special people. I am literally amazed.
This is like the equivalent to flying, it’s incredible.
The scene of him walking upside down on the water beach is brilliant. It caught my eye so much and was so surreal.
I still need to know how tf it was done lol.
I felt like Inception (Nolan kind of movie)
@@richardanfelix
I literally kept thinking the whole time how cool it'd be if Nolan did a mindbending underwater thriller next. Maybe something along the lines of The Abyss (1989), but better 😻
And then saw your comment!! 🙌
I dont know what the affect is called but it’s the same thing as oil and water separating in a tube. In the video, it’s actually just two layers of water. The top is fresh water and the bottom is salt water. Salt water is more dense and because they aren’t disturbed that much, they separate.
@@IronDragon1337 yes, there are physical layers under water like salinity and temperature, seen them many times as a diver - but this scene is shot upside down near the surface under an outcropping or cave.
The ocean is like an entirely different world
😜
Earth ppl water ppl👀what if
It’s literally 70% of the earth & we’ve discovered less than 5% of it there’s so much we don’t know.
MarlboroMan it is
MarlboroMan yeah, it’s called the water world... duh
I am speechless and afraid as well...can't describe the feeling of horror and thrill while watching...salute to all the team
I am literally trying to breathe for him..
😂😭
Keep trying 🥺.
AHAHAHA reading your comment, I'm trying too 😄
please don't :)

The camera quality is so high and the water is so clean that it looks like it wasn't recorded under the water
You mean water clarity not camera quality

Easily one of the most beautiful and incredible videos I’ve ever seen
I find this video both indescribably beautiful and terrifying at the same time. But it blows my mind nontheless, and thank you for that. What an experience.
my mind was blown too for him holding his breath for like 10 minutes
yeh. One of those videos you get every once in a while that make you think "what a fuckn planet we live on"
Aspix you know it’s not all filled in one take, right?
@@haloskaterkid What? no it's filled in one tank !!
My exact thoughts.
This is truly mesmerizing. I feel like it’s just as spectacular as walking on the moon. He is literally on an alien planet down there. Cinematography is amazing. How many people can say they have walked down there? Thank you for a magnificent video.
4real L. Wow!!! I guess you have to give credit to the videographer. Just as amazing. What a team. Thanks for that info.
I've always said that!!! We literally have outer space in our Huge oceans, you can fly in it,it's like air because you can't see it, random creatures around you....that's pretty cool.
@4real L. To me I thought it was an underwater drone..🤣🤣🤣
felt exactly the same.
Every 5 seconds im like, ok time to go up now buddy, but he just never does
The editing does that for him.
Exactly
DeadlyGoat
Same here, when he started traversing those rocks and I could see the distance from there, until his next breath I was like....
✨😧✨
He push the limit brother
The camera person might have had an oxygen tank just to be safe, but there have been documented instances of people holding their breath for 10-15min while spear hunting fish. It takes an insane amount of training
This is something beyond this world.. excellence at its best..i was in awe of the scenes captured whole time..
A very big well done to his wife who shot the video as a free diver just like him :)
Pretty cool! Wish I have a wife free diver too!
What a nice waifu

@@sghinshaw no it’s real isn’t that crazy! I do free diving to and it’s like a whole different world!

that's so true haha - I recently found out that when I'm riding a bike I can go faster and in any direction - way more convenient than walking like you were under water :D

Lmao!😂😂 exactly what I was thinking!! I could feel that struggle of running during a vivid dream watching this guy
Aaaw so trueeee
soo trueee hahahaha i couldn't run fast in the dream world its so frustating
There is something unbelievably captivating about his dives. I was fascinated by his TED talks and the descriptions he gave. I hold my breath for a max of 2 minutes and I dive up to 8 meters, and I am content, but Guillaume is a master and has opened our eyes to what humans are capable of.
That was eerie and beautiful and awe inspiring all at the same time. I've truly never seen anything like it.
Exactly! Always wanted to try this out. Hey you wanna sit on my face so I can take a practice run?
