RUclips removed all the text I had set up for this video that appeared as I typed things out. I apologize for this inconvenience & am working with them to resolve their removed feature. If you're having problems with "List Partitions | No Partitions Selected" ?! - Or does this method simply not work for you at all? Check out my other video that utilizes a different method when getting to Partitions: ruclips.net/video/XrUOOsioP6g/видео.html
Thank You CyberPunk! I am a novice user and always wondered why several of my thumb drives would have a fixed smaller size then when it was originally. I do not usually comment on video's but I thought your was worth an honourable mentioning. I really liked how you showed what to do and the command you typed came up on the screen. The audio was clear and concise. Also, the listed steps below in the comment section made it crystal clear. Again, I thank you and really appreciate the time you take to make these types of video's for us less computer literate users. Keep up the great work. Regards, Jay
@Maddog it says "No usable free extent could be found. It may be that there is insufficient free space to create a partition at the specified size and offset. Specify different size and offset values or don't specify either to create the maximum sized partition. It may be that the disk is partitioned using the MBR disk partitioning format and the disk contains either 4 primary partitions, (no more partitions may be created), or 3 primary partitions and one extended partition, (only logical drives may be created)." when I try create partition primary, any ideas? Thanks in advance,
for all people who says there is no partition first go to disk part then select your disk then write clean after that check did it came or not if not then go to disk management then select the unallocated drive right click then new simple value then next........blah blah then done you are good to go :P if it doesnt work then im really sorry but it freaking worked for me and im HAPPY :)
+CyberPunk Hi! the problem with my flash drive is that although it is recognized (it makes the sound when I plug it in) it is like it is not there. I have selected the disk but it says there are no partitions on this disk to show.
Yall can also try this: 1.go to search bar and type “create and format hard disk partitions 2. Delete all of the volumes for the USB by right clicking on the partitions and selecting “delete volume’ 3. Create a new partition on it 4. Go back into file explorer and try formating again 5.Done
Did this for my Lexar 256GB usb drive and it worked like a charm. Formatted exFAT to move between OSX and Windows. Still don't know how it got messed up in the first place but thank you very much for this video!
Thank you so much. This video helped me formatting my USB flash drive with a very serious errors while formatting. After so many attempts to format it, it failed. But its a nice thing i found your video. Thank you for sharing 😊😊😊
Thanks a lot. I had a 64 Gb SanDisk USB stick that I could not reformat for some reason or other. With your instructions I managed to reformat it and I can use it again now.
Well..I have a problem. My disk have a partition, partition 1. But...when I type "Select partition 1" the next message appears: "There is no partition selected." Can anyone help me, please ? Thnx !

as CyberPunk said, first see what the command List Partition gives, because there may be none, so you will need to make the command Create partition primary and then listing partition you will check if there is any created and select that partition number . this worked for me, hope no further problems appear
THANK YOU! I spent all day rummaging around support web sites and blogs and finally came across this video that resolved my problem simply and elegantly. I previously ran into a brick wall trying to create a bootable USB drive to restore my Windows 10 operating system. I had no problems with Windows 10. I only wanted the restore drive just in case I needed it in the future. I kept getting error messages and gave up on the bootable restore USB drive but now my SanDisk 128 GB USB only showed 32 GB available. The rest of the space was unallocated. I followed some on-line instructions to "clean" the unallocated partition but now the USB showed no available space at all. Getting space back is what took all day. This video did the trick and I now have the original 128 GB (less the usual small amount of system space).
So happy to hear, it really means a lot to me that you shared your story on how frustrating other peoples' nonsense tutorials can be. I truly appreciate your support.
Hi, I tried this fix but I encountered the following error "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)", this occurs at the end of the New Simple Volume Wizard. The entire drive shows as Unallocated. Is there anything else that I could try? Thanks in advance.
Wouldn't it just make more sense to right click "computer" where you can access "manage" to figure out which disk you need to fix - 1- CMD, 2- diskpart, 3- Select disk (0, 1, 2 etc) then type - "Clean". Seems like a lot of unnecessary steps in this video. Mine was in five. Great post non the less because it's still helpful to those who don't know. Thumbs up! :-D
