  • Winnebago Revel 4x4 sprinter van. Episode 19: How a family of four sleeps in a van.
The Revel can technically only sleep three people comfortably. To sleep our family of four, we built a bed/dining system below the main bed. Bunk bed style! Stick around until the end to see how everyone slept ;)

What an absolutely BRILLIANT way to sleep 4 people, in about 80sq feet of space...INGENIOUS! I love how you think so pragmatically 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼

Very clever. We have a Travato G and we both need to get up to the bathroom in the middle of the night, often more than once, so we separate it out. My husband has the Murphy bed and I sleep in the puzzle bed up front. That way we both get more sleep. But you guys are lots younger and more agile - also more compact. My husband is 6‘2“ - not fat, but just solid and rangy, and he hangs off the end of the Murphy bed as it is!
I always love to see what other people’s creative Class B sleeping solutions are. Nice work! And I love the table top. I want to get rid of our table and put in a Lagun.

Nice work guys! You didn't want to build the bed risers as well? I love the extra storage functionality of these. I'm sourcing some 80/20 atm to undertake this project. Thanks for the inspiration! I'll use some mahogany for the wood to give it a richer look and take away from the vast amount of plastic in our rigs haha. We have 2 small dogs that like to sleep with us and the upper bed is just too small. My wife is 5'4 and she would like to sleep on the day bed. I'll make a small extension that goes into the hallway so she can sleep in centre of the bed with her feet extending there. I'll store this small extension in the bathroom as a shelf. It will also work great as a step to get to the upper bed as the bed will rest higher due to the bed risers. Revel on!

Did you have to mod to allow for the car seats? Does it have an anchor in the back to secure it?

Your channel is the only set of Revel videos that addresses a few of questions I have about having two small children buckled in while driving. I wonder if your seats would fit the newer Revels which have more of an angled passenger bench seat. I wish they had better seating for kids and an extra adult.

Hello. Thank you so much for watching! We too wished they made better seating for our kids. Unfortunately, we're not familiar with the 2021 and not sure if the carseats we have would fit. =(

@@tefamilyadventures 😊 🙏 great videos and I look forward to ongoing uploads! My dream van is the Revel and some of the vans Outside Van has created for the 144 length. Now that my 5 year old is getting into Motocross, I think I need a modular setup. The garage in the Revel though is top notch. Incredible add that you created with the 80/20.

Was storage the only reason you guys added the risers, or were the kiddos not comfy on the floor mattresses? I found your video through searching if someone had already put their kiddos on the floor 😂 since I’m thinking of doing the same.

We built it do we could have room for storage underneath and its also more comfy for the kiddos. Its definitely a great addition.😊
