Making GDKP against ToS and actually doing something about that MASSIVE bot problem is the only way Blizz is going to be able to ultimately save the game. There were several areas I couldn't even use for kill quests in the Barrens yesterday because of a huge bot infestation.. it was so ridiculous I just logged off. SoD is amazing, however it's gonna get destroyed unless gold farmers are dealt with

GDKPs are illegals, or should be. I understand you trying to advocate if you enjoy running (getting easy gold/money from others) or getting easy loot with real money... (also known as pay to win). Imagine going into a BFD GDKP in SoD with all the 100g you farmed doing quests in Ashenvale, Thousand Needles and having to compete for that epic sword with someone that bought a thousand gold for a couple euros/dollars...
there is nothing wrong with GDKPs, me and anyone I know will not do any raid that is not GDKP loot. I have horrible luck with rolls and its a meme in my previous guilds that I'm the one who never wins rolls, therefore raiding for me is a waste of time. But with GDKPs i can farm out my gold killing murlocs or whatever and then buy pieces of loot and not feel like raiding is a time waste

they wont. if you want to play classic you have to suck up the dogshit gearing process. its either you do gdkps and have to swipe 200 euros to even make a chance to get 1 single item and get shouted at by eastern europeans for 4 hours. Or join an sr run and wipe on the first boss for 6 hours cuz people are too stupid to kill a boss with 1 mechanic. or you can join a guild and hope that in 10 weeks you finally get that 1 piece of loot you want. classic gearing sucks it has always sucked and it will always suck so either swipe or sit in agony. have fun with getting farmed by oil princess from dubai that are swiping 10k a day
I think the importance of keeping the cap level at 60 should not be understated. While new content zones items and raids can be added to the game the difficulty of the game can scale by increasing the level difference between the player and the world This also increases the necessity for players to form communities and groups in order to survive and thrive in these higher level zones. That’s just my thoughts
I hope they bring mount hyjal into classic..I absolutely love that raid.. Plus the 2h sword that drops in there will always have a special place in my heart

I really hope that this is just speculation, because SM and Alterac Mountain doesn't make sense at all for a level 50 cap. The final boss of SM is level 40 in Classic and Alterac is just a minor zone, where the main quest hubs are in a zone designed for level 25-40 I would much rather see a ZF level up raid, and Tanaris be the main PvP zone for phase 3 (level 50)

I wish we could have flex so we aren’t locked into a set number but I know that’s a huge ask for classic. Realistically I’d like 20 maybe 25 man raid groups. 40 is just unreasonable nowadays.
There is no good reason for Season of Discovery or Classic+ to establish an alternate timeline. There are 3-4 in-game years between Classic and Cataclysm. What was happening on Kalimdor during The Burning Crusade? Hell, what was happening on Northrend during the early days of Classic? Or Kezan? There's tons of room in the existing lore to fill in all the details without abandoning the primary timeline. They even have the Caverns of Time to work with to retell old events or explore alternative futures without breaking the lore of Warcraft. I think this type of story expansion makes SOD/Classic+ exciting. Saying "sorry the last 20 years sucked, let's start over" does not get me excited or give me faith that the developers will suddenly get it right on the do over.
75% of this video is just speculation on your part and hasnt been confirmed by the dev's at all. Some good ideas yes but makes the video title a bit misleading. IMO, if they will add anything, it will be using already existing assets from any of the future talents, to create "new" environments to add legitimately new bosses to. For example, using Blackwing Decent/Blackrock Caverns instances and attaching them to new entrances in classic WoW areas, completely stripping the mobs and putting new ones in (and bosses as mentioned) and even a new spawning location when you zone in. Same could be done for Uldaman and the Legacy version from Dragonflight etc.
@kd0v According to best estimates, it's 4 weeks minimum, 12 weeks maximum per phase. Atleast until they get to Phase 4. Phases afterwards are debatable. I think we'll be looking at 8 weeks minimum to 16 weeks maximum for phases 5 to 8. Anything after is completely a guessing game.
I despise the grinding aspect of the secret vendor rune, it wouldnt be so bad if you didnt have to compete with others for mob tags, it just breeds cynicism and toxicity
They have so many dungeons with a tone of work, design, quests, cut scenes etc not being used anymore.. It baffles me that they don`t re-use them and give people variaty in a sense.. Be nice to able to re-do them at max level and be a source of gearing.. Same with raids.. Re-use them at max level and give people a choice.. Be fun doing deadmines at max level rather than using the level sync..

Pretty much how WoW has been since it's inception. The community min maxes the fun out of every aspect of the game until you are only allowed to play how they say. My advice is to ignore forums and do your own builds and level how you want. You will encounter many toxic asshats. Ignore them and have fun your own way.
Why would they remake existing raids when there are two brand new raids to classic, Uldum and Grim Batol, just waiting for the picking. They've even stated that they had plans for both but they were scrapped.
I love it, but I am so annoyed that as a holy paladin my best rune that makes my class playable is hated behind one of the most obnoxious rep grinds in the history of the game.
I hope they leave some 5 man dungeons if they turn all those ones you mentioned into raids. Scholo is one of my least favorite places and I at least knew some of the other ones.

Nah, it's a completely different game than retail, social interaction, meaningful character investment, everything you do matters and improves your character. Retail plays like Diablo and is for drop in drop out playstyle of instant gratification. Each caters to different types of games.

Hunter pets can solo duel ANY class. Warriors are GIMPED af - Useless for all but tanking. BiS shoulders is botted 24/7 They sure know how to suck the fun out of the game, lol.

The way I see it, these "Phases" are a massive data-collection experiment that will ultimately lead to the full-release of a "Classic+"

To make STV a disputed zone, alliance needs a proper base with a flight point. If reinforcements needs to run from duskwood then we're fucked.

Turning strat back into a 10 man or converting it to a 20 man raid could be a great catch up raid. Leads right into Naxx, and works well with EPL PvP

Its only a guess but some people have been saying 1/2/2/2/3/3/6 months for each phase
