Great work Zach! I am having a 2012 rear sliding window in my 2001 F250 , the body shop is installing it for me after painting my truck. Thanks for the info. Hopefully does 2011 to 2016 windows little bigger
They make a black primer with a cotton ball tip especially for that process of putting a black border on the glass . You did amazing with the repair but the primer will make life easier if you do it again
Hey Zach, question for you. You mention the '08 window being 1/4" smaller all the way around. Do you know if the 11+ windows stayed the same size as the 08-10? I'm working towards a '14 swap into my '07 and the power window was part of the plans. I watched all 3 videos, good tips provided. The smaller window won't stop me from doing the swap but it would be nice to know ahead of time. Appreciate the videos and the info you provide us in DIY community
Bead always goes on the glass and you should have used 3M primer on the painted surface of the truck. The urethane still won't grip the paint very well without primer. It will hold but may not be a long lasting seal.
Great work Zach! I bought a 2012 power sliding window for my 2001 f250 it’s getting installed by my body shop when they finish painting my truck.
Your attention to detail is greatly appreciated!!

I like that you didn't just hack it out with a Sawzall, you then took the time to clean all the old urethane off and test fit the window, Looks 👍

So, would it be better it install the window before the headliner?
Where'd you get the power slider window at?

Seems some one should adapt the motors for use on older windos.
so the sims arnt useless use 1/4"larger shims on the bottom it lifts the window 1/4 ...
