You just have to watch "Sabaton-En Livstid I Krig - Live in Gothenburg". They sing this song in their mother tongue Swedish about the 30 Years' War. Be sure to turn on subtitles. Tears guaranteed. Greetings from Dresden, Germany.
How much does Germans understand of the lyrics? As Swedish are one of the languages closest to German, especially older words and military. ( basically any Sabaton lyric ) To bad that as a Swede I always find it slightly cringe to listen to any rock in Swedish.
This post needs more visibility. The backstory of the 30 Years War, being sung by its descendants, the story of their people's sacrifice, shot really well, great crowd participation, and one of the heaviest emotional stories Sabaton has ever told. Guaranteed tears is right.

I've been to 2 Sabaton concerts in Calgary. The one time they asked us if we wanted to hear a song in Swedish or English and we all voted Swedish.
He did a double take and was like "wtf? Do you all speak Swedish now? Well, prove it then."
Historic fact
The story of the 189 brave soldiers in the Swiss guard during the sacking of Rome in 1527. Since Charles V, ruler of the holy roman empire couldn’t pay his troops they mutinied and forced their commander to lead them towards Rome where plunder was plentiful. When the invading force entered the Vatican pope Clement VII escaped to Castel Sant’Angelo via Passetto di Borgo. The few remaining guardsmen gave their lives on the steps to St. Peters Basilica.

Joakim does use a bit of colorful language about Tina choosing this song, though (by popular demand, they end up performing it at most shows despite it not being on the setlist 😋)
Sabaton's songs are all not just stories, they're all based on historical facts like for example, the song "Christmas Truce" , is based on a true story that happened during World War 1 (1914 - 1918). When on Christmas Eve 1914 opposing forces came out of the trenches to celebrate, sing, and play soccer just to keep the Christmas spirit alive.

Their concerts are a BLAST! My wife and I have gone to see them 4 times so far. Would've been 5 but they had to cancel a lot of their tour dates when some of the guys from Judas Priest came down with covid. Can't blame them for cutting the tour short, all things considered. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

You should check out Tommy Johansson the baby faced lead guitar player. He does a cover of, "You Raise Me Up", he sings it starting 1 octave higher than it was performed in. He has a wonderful voice. Also, he sings for Majestica, I would suggest "The Joy of Christmas". Based on the Dickens story, "A Christmas Carol".
There songs are amazing lots bring a tear how they do it is just crazy Joakim is amzing singer really such big sound with so little effort so powerful.

As a fellow Canadian (PEI by way of Toronto) I suggest checking out Fields of Verdun by Sabaton as it deals with the WW1 battle of Verdun which is one of the bloodiest battles Canadians have fought outside of The Somme. Great song, great video and great Sabaton History video for it too.
If you're looking for something along the same lines as Sabaton (military history) I would HIGHLY recommend Iced Earth - Gettysburg (1863). It's the pinnacle and magnum opus of the bands 30+ year career. 32 minutes long covering the three days of fighting - July 1, 2, 3 1863 - from several different angles - The Devil to Pay - from the Union perspective (specifically General John Bufords intercepting of the Confederate Army at Gettysburg), Hold At All Costs - depicts how friends and family were fighting on opposing sides but despite being friends, they were at war and the lines must hold at all costs and last the High Water Mark - Generals Lee and Longstreet debate their plan of attack, Longstreet doubts the plan will succeed, delays issuing orders and ultimately the Confederates loose the battle. Lee, believing God was protecting the Confederate Army and his leadership divine, realizes the mistakes of his beliefs and upon the Confederates utter defeat on July 3, blames himself and announces the blood of the battle is solely on his hands. It's fucking EPIC and deserves much more recognition from reactors than the few reactions that are out there.

Hello from BC. 😊 I have a suggestion for you: JP Leppäluoto, a singer from Finland. He has one of the most unique voices I've ever heard. He sings in both English and Finnish. I'd recommend his song "Kuoppa" (meaning "Pit" or "Hole" in Finnish) or "Colder" with his first band Charon to start. Or even "Dance With The Dragon" by Dark Sarah, if you like musical theatre.
