The replacement LCD screen used in the video was a Samsung LTN156AT02. Many other screens are also compatible, such as LP156WH2 (TL)(A1), N156B6-L0B and B156XW02 V.6. We no longer carry LCD screens, but if you search for any of these models, they should come right up from a few other sellers.
The Inspiron 1545 laptops use 15.6" 16:9 screens. Early models have a CCFL backlight, but most use an LED backlight. Please be sure to check the part and revision numbers from your original screen to find the correct replacement, as there are many variations and frame designs for 15.6" screens.
I'm wondering that if there is any problem when I connect dell inspiron screen to a hp laptop? The problem is hp laptop has 40pin lcd cable only, but my old dell screen has 30pin+ backlight. And the other end of lcd cable which connect screen and motherboard have both same size pins. Will there is any problem while I interchanging the screens of two laptops?
It's possible to use a 40-pin LED screen in place of a 30+2 pin CCFL LCD screen. Although we don't make or carry them, there are adapter cable kits available which can be used to do this. For basic laptop screens, Dell, HP and many others use a generic screen from the same sources, so they can often be swapped out for each other.
@@alwinantony6312 You can use LED in place of CCFL, but CCFL can't be used in place of LED. One of the only exceptions to this is the Inspiron 1545 in the video, which has been offered with both types of screens, so it's possible to use a correct cable and inverter board to connect and power a CCFL screen. Since LED screens have a longer life and lower power requirements though, there's really not much reason to go to the trouble of converting to use the older style.
celtobe9 The model shown in this video does not have a webcam. The replacement procedure is basically the same for all Inspiron 1545 laptops, with the only real difference being the screen used.
Hi, I have a compaq cq56-102LA, it has a 15.6-inch LED screen and its connector is 40 you pin. Also I have the Dell 1545 is 15.6 inch LCD is the same connector 40 you pin. I can change the LCD screen of the Dell Inspiron 1545, by the compaq Led screen cq56-102LA?
KeisukeStudio Yes, this should work fine. All of the popular manufacturers of laptops source their screens from the same factories, so they are often interchangeable.
KeisukeStudio As long as both screens have the same 40-pin connector in the same place and are the same resolution, you should be able to swap them out. They're actually all LCD screens, but they use LED backlights now instead of fluorescents (CCFLs). The easiest way to know if a screen has a CCFL backlight is if it has a 2-pin connector coming out from the bottom. If it doesn't, then the backlight is more than likely LED. To be sure of what you have though, what are the part numbers and revisions of both screens? The part number will have a "156" in it.
If the back panel also needs to be replaced, remove the rest of the screws holding the hinges to the panel along with any wires. Then install the new part exactly the same as the old one with all wires and screws in the exact same locations.
Luis VM Most screens will have a part number and revision number on the back, and you use this number to find the correct replacement. We also have a video showing some examples of different screens and part numbers, which may help you to find the one you need: ruclips.net/video/Yo_KavdJmGw/видео.html
@1:37 was that the ribbon cable you disconnected from the screen? I need to disconnect the ribbon cable from the screen, so I can use it on an external monitor and be able to see BIOS.

Is the dell inpirion 30 or 40 pin
The Inspiron 1545 is 40-pin for the LED version shown, but the early version uses a 30-pin CCFL screen with an extra 2-pin cable for the backlight.
