Love these videos! Glad I discovered them. Also, how do you get them to come when you don't have a treat? Like if they are used to getting a treat everytime but you don't have one on you, will that ruin their conditioning and get them to stop coming in the future?
@Albert & Mia, the Adventure Bengal Cat Excellent Video! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Alivaay Fluff Talker (google it)? It is an awesome one off product for stopping your cat spraying without the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my good mate called Gray finally got amazing success with it
I did not understand the clicking part after calling her name. Is it mandatory to use it while training our cat? thank you.
Do you do have to do the same when you have two twin cats?
My cats name is also mia misty
I love how your cat is named mia and everytime you say her name it sounds like you meow to your cat xD
It does sound like meow but it’s Mia
Omg I really thought he was meowing the whole time. I was like “is her name meow or…”
My dead name is Mia 🤣
@@mxeii8815 dead name?
That’s what I thought!
Mia's loving the trainings!! Look at her happy question mark tail when you're calling and giving her some treats 😂
So true! She gets so hyped up when we train. After training we always have a play session and a meal. It's her routine. (We just added a camera to the process now)
@@OutdoorBengal gracias por todo. Tus videos son muy interesantes tambien. Y tengo una curiosidad.. Espero no pasarme preguntandote. Eres español o latino. Gracias y perdona por si te molesto mi pregunta. Saludos

This is EXACTLY the channel I was looking for. I'm a new first time cat dad. In the first month and a half, I've trained her to use the litter box, figured out how to trim her nails, charged the clicker, and gotten her used to the harness and leash. I was lost on what to do next till I found you! Can't wait to take my little girl on adventures!!
Omg same! I just adopted 2 little kittens sisters, time to make them awesome adventure kitty cats!! 👍🏼 good luck to us all!
I am Frist time cat mom
Same here, first time cat dad! So glad I found this channel, great video!!
Same here ..used to hate cats never imagined i would own a cat but hrre i am at 45 ..,willngivebit the best of everything but
im a kitten mom
I've had 4 cats and they all understood their names and everything else I said to them. My method was to just keep talking to them, lol, about everything 🤣
Nah they were just pretending to understand you to get treats.. you didn't have them.... They had you!
@@94D33MNope my Mini didn’t get treats and she knew that l called her for company. She did think l was her mom though
My cat answers with a light purr and walks over to me but no treats haha He’s such a good cat! ❤️
He must've really liked being with you 😮
My cat knows when i give her treats and when i'm just playing with her. She's still ignoring me when she feels like it, too smart for me :))😊
4:23 she played with her own tails :) how adorable she is
My cat I had years ago,Cece, would come when called. She learned that on her own..she was more like one of the dogs. Best cat I could have had
It still shows how much you love her ❤
My cat is so smart...Kimba is play motivated mostly...he loves people...mostly always comes when I call...walks on leash...he mimicks my meows...sits...speaks, and we will work on more
I don’t why, but the beginning of the video cracked me up 😂
They say you have to grab your viewers attention during the first 5sec. That’s what I tried 😂😂😂
@@OutdoorBengal - it worked!
I love how much 'Mia' sounds like 'Miaw' when you are calling her
I can’t wait to train our cat, hopefully getting in in three weeks time!!
I also watch a video from a veterinarian saying cats respond to high pitch sounds so naming your cat or having a nickname that ends high is helpful. You can basically say any word that ends high to get their attention.
I tried this with my cat and it worked very well, he responds to his name now and he comes. I actually was able to trick my cat instead of using treats I used a different type of cat food and it worked, I didn’t have any treats at the time so I just made it work.
So happy to hear it worked with you as well! :)
My cat was 8 months when I got her. I changed her name from Pirate to Moochi without training and she always comes when I call her❤❤❤
...You don't live in Wisconsin, do you?
Thank you for these videos! I just saved a kitten from the streets and I’m really wanting to take him places with me !
Have fun! I'm sure it'll bring you both lots of joy and nice time together! :)
Thank you for rescuing the kitten!
I have 7 cats who enjoy our back garden in the good weather. They ALL come when I call them whether inside or out. My neighbours are used to hearing me call my cats from my back door. I sometimes give them treats for coming inside but not always. My cats were trained from Day 1 to come when called. They receive pets and hugs and kisses when they come to me. I'm the only cat mum in the neighborhood who does this and no doubt people think I'm odd but I never have to worry about my cats going astray.
I used to whisper "oscar" in my cat's ear when he sleeps .. less than a week and he recognizes his name
This is so profound. Im starting the new year wit Archi(bald Tobiaz). My late 14yr old learned that a sardine treat was coming when the sound of the tin opener sounded. Where ever he was, he would come running when I used the tin opener...my joy was to give him a treat for all his vigorous expectation.
3:49 this way of interacting with your cat is so similar to how a pet bird is (for example a falcon, or possibly a hawk) supposed to be treated (when tamed)some people made videos about it, and it’s just almost identical relationship wise. Nice video by the way.
Thank you!! :) I will have to look at the craw training you mentioned! Sounds interesting!
I have a cat named Rose. She knows her name, and also responds when called. I love her!
Watching this so that I can teach my kitten tricks and so she don't go missing I wanna take her on walks so she not always stuck in a small flat

It’s been a hour we’re still on part one I’m getting a feeling my cats scamming me..
This takes days not minutes to learn
Take your time. Be patient. Just because it's quick in the video doesn't mean your training will progress as quickly as here with a cat who already knows the trick
This is so cute I don't know how to teach a cat to sit or come and your cat is amazing
Thank you so much, Carolina! I have a couple videos teaching those things! Comment if you have questions after watching the video! :)
Your into is like the only intro I have ever seen that I really enjoy watching (and would watch on repeat for at least an hour)

I absolutely ADORE your channel - and Mia is incredibly cute and smart. Thanks for all of the great videos. You make it look so easy! We are getting our baby Bengal cat in a few weeks time. :)
Lucky Mia & also lucky Albert. How wonderful that you've found one another & are able to share your lives together in such meaningful ways❣️
Thank you for the "tips & tricks"
when my guy said adventures he really meant it 💀
used this for my first cat and it worked beautifully!! back again for our new kitten :)
also, instead of a clicker, i “clicked” my tongue and it still worked!! so if you’re watching and feeling discouraged because you don’t have a clicker, there’s still hope
Oh my god, you're a genius!! Thank you!
Wow! Your very knowledgeable about cats, got my male kitten " Gucci "on Easter + love to learn the training for him+ after his neauter get him trained on a harness too
Best of luck! Thanks for sharing some love!
I'm impressed. IT WORKED!!!!!! I started like 5 minutes ago. I acted like it was the greatest news of my life seeing my cat obbeying my command. let's keep going.
Of course it worked! Congrats!!!
Whenever I call my cat name, he just runs like crazy to come to me, but luckily I didn't trained him it just happened. Lucky me😊😊

Your vids remind me of when my bengal was young. Would play fetch, Sprint across the house, jump at the wall. Crazy fricking cat but so fun. She just passed at 20 YO. Bengals are amazing creatures!!
Man, thank you very much for sharing this knowledge with us, seriously. I was searching which animals could be a travelling companion (aside from dogs, obviously) and I'm really happy that I can train a cat to be one!
Hi Albert, thanks a lot for all your videos.
I have a couple of general questions on training. The first is: when can I stop using the clicker (that is, when can I assume the desired behavior is so ingrained in the cat that the association with the sound is not necessary anymore)? And, similarly, when can I stop giving the cat a treat (or doing it only occasionally)?
My point is that I wish my cat to come to me whenever I call him, without having to keep a treat available at any time.
About to become a cat dad and binging as much as possible
Thank you! My cat just had kittens and in a couple of weeks il try this❤️
That's so awesome! all cats regardless of age can learn this, but definetely with kittens will be easier! :) good luck!
I have a beautiful, friendly, young bengal and your videos have encouraged me to train him!
Bengals are so fun!
My kitten Tigger, just automatically learned his name and comes when I call him. I didn't have to train him. I also didn't have to train him to use the litter box. From the first day he just knew to always poop and pee there. He is such a disciplined boy. But he is such a scamp too. You can see him in my video on my channel
My cat is also named Tigger I found him at my apartment complex I been feeding him for 2 months along with other residents. Found out upstairs neighbors threw him and his sibling out. I would call him and he would automatically come from out of the woods when I called him. He automatically responded.
Yes, I have successfully done this with my 4 Cats, 1 a 2 year old Mother with 3 7 month old teen cats .I simply kept saying their names when around them since kittens including the Mother. Just continuous saying their names. I can call them 1 by 1 and they respond as is, lol. I may end up making video but this is common for cat owners.
you give me happy vibes just by looking at you😂
i wanna name my kitten bambi, its a ginger cat
Mia is what my cat was called before I adopted her
I'm pretty adventurous and really wanna bring her with me your channel will help her see the world so thank you ^-^
Thank you so much for this! I love how you explain things. I almost spent my money on books but now I know I don't have to!
You're so welcome!
My bengal has already masterd it! Thanks!
My cats have known their names, and my cats have all come when I called them. I don't recall teaching them anything, all I did was Love Them.
it worked like a charm ❤
I didn’t even have to teach him his name, he just got it naturally ! Whenever I call Casper he looks at me and meaws! (Ps I feel like he is saying WHAT 😂😂😂)
Haha 😂
I have a white cat named Casper
I have a black cat name casper 🐈
🤣
lol have just just started clicker training my kitten lol he responded to the sound of your clicker lol
How would you teach two cats their names? I am bringing home two Bengal kittens in a couple days and very excited to start getting them comfortable with a harness and learn their names, then move on to other tricks!
first time seeing this channel and omg that little cat is on sooo many adventures in the intro... one day i'll take salem on a walk for sure
Thank you! That intro is not around anymore but yes! She's been places hehe
Hi would really appreciate a reply because i am struggling so muchh. Its been a few weeks and i have been doing this training for at least 30-45 mins a day as i don’t want my cat to get annoyed but she is still not recognising her name. Ive tried everything, i am consistent with the clicking and the treats are her favourites but every time i call her she just continues. Like there is no acknowledgement of her name. I was wondering if you had some tips because i need help😢…
We have a mom cat and her two daughters. They understand their names since they were young. And they understand everything like, no, get down, be nice like no scratching, they come when they're called, and be nice to the dogs. And they listen.
Hello, at what point do you stop using treats and the clicker sound?
Thanks!
I love his channel, his videos teached my cat how to sit and come when called, keep this up dude❤
We love your tips! Thanks for sharing. Mia is awesome! =^^=
Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback!
I in love with cat's
Hi. Thanks for all your videos. I’m loving them. I’ve recently got two kittens approx 11 weeks old (from two different litters). I’m wondering if you have any tips or tricks for clicker training two kittens at the same time? I don’t want one to think I’m rewarding negative behaviour when I’m trying to reward the other ones positive behaviour? Thanks
I have a new kitten named Millie she isn’t to good knowing her name and being called, this helped a lot including the videos for walking them with a harness.
I feel like this might also be a good way to start the fetch process? 🤣💕✨
Your kitty is so beautiful 😍
Is there a recommended age to start training cats? My kitten is 2 months old and im not sure if he can understand yet haha
Now my cat always come when called
Because of this I found her twice when she was lost outside the home.
Thank you buddy for video
Actually I have a kitten not a cat so the treats he loves so much has so much milk and my mom told me to not to give it always so I just gave him dry food
I just got a cat called Oliver Storm and I need to teach his name and this was VERY VERY helpful.
Bold of you to assume my cat is furry 😂
Omg. Why did I not see this before. That's why my cat won't learn. I'm not doing it right. Thank you, your video made sense. I watched so many tutorials and I have not seen yours until now. Will watch some of your vids too.
Thanks so much for all the love! Best of luck!
My cat kinda chooses when to come, she knows her name and will come when called but sometimes decides not to haha

I was so excited to start training my cat! She’s so smart but isn’t food motivated at all so it’s been quite a challenge. Hope to find that video you mentioned about cats not being treat motivated. Thanks!
Even if you have a cat that isn’t primarily food motivated keep looking for a treat they can’t resist! I finally tried high quality freeze dried duck & mackerel and it makes all the difference. I break the small pieces even smaller and only use them for training (these treats are not cheap). This has accelerated our clicker training!
@@DonnaLena1 Where do you usually get them from? Do you know the brand?
my bengals did this, they were so smart.. smartest cats ive ever had
Mis gatas no quieren hacer mucho caso 🤭 seguiré intentando
No te rindas. Al principio cuesta! Hazlo 3/4 veces al día, en una semana o dos deberían tenerlo!
I can't wait to get my Bengal Kitten..im goin to teach her with your Help THX ALBERT & Mia ☺ 🐈💗
Wonderful! Just as a reminder, any cat can do this! You don't need a bengal, in fact, bengals are more moody and have more energy, making them more difficult to train at times... :) Good Luck!
Hi Albert and Mia!
Love your channel!! I also have a little bengal and am so excited to train him. I have a question about "charging" the clicker. Do you need to do that before EVERY training session, or do you just charge it once and then reinforce the idea that clicker= treat as you train actual tricks/ behaviours?
Thank you!
Steph and Quill
Hello!! thanks for writing down your question! I bet more than one person will benefit from it!
Once you've primed your cat with the knowledge that "click" means reward, you don't need to do it again. While you train, you are reinforcing this by clicking and rewarding.
So, to your question. No, you don't need to do it before every session. Do it for a week or two before training and once they start reacting to the click (means they know a treat is coming) you are set!
Happy training!
I have a bengal. It’s kinda hard since she’s very energetic
Dude,You are the best and very conscientious
Hello Albert, I have been training my kitten for 2 days now and have a few questions. My cat automatically comes back to me when I throw him treats even though I didn't call him so I don't know if he associates me calling him with the treats or only him coming back with treat. Then what should I do when my cat just doesn't come back even when I call him 10 times? Stop the session?
Did your cat learn?
@@stephenkariuki4294 Yes he did in 1 week max. Its been 2 months now and he comes whenever I call him. I also taught him to sit, and to go wherever I point with the videos from the channel. You will need to be really patient sometimes

if they escape... what are they, prisoners?
Sort of. Or just individuals who need guidance to navigate a world of dangers (just like kids). You offer them a safe environment that enriches and nurtures them while keeping them safe 😊
But many many cats are prisoners haha
Off subject - I love your yellow shoes 😂
Do you have a cat? No. did you spent your time to watch cat training video ? YESS
Your cat looks amazing XD
I also do this but I just brought her everywhere with me since I got her at 8 weeks and now when I walk towards the door she jumps on my shoulders ready to come with, she follows me everywhere even when we are outside and all I did was love her and take her with me everywhere from the start
I was going to buy a clicker for training then I clicked my pen to see how loud it is so I've decided to use it for training (with treats of course).
I got my first cat from the shelter, back in January. I’ve been calling her Athena ever since I got her and I think she kind of knows her name. She comes sometimes when I call her, but other times she doesn’t. I think I’ll try this so she can come more consistently!
Hi Albert, So delighted to come across your channel. I have a 17 month old Silver Bengal who is very sweet but a little cra-cra also. I know they all basically have the same traits so I am hoping "we" can learn to be as adventurous as Mia, because my little Zela is a very nervous little girl. Looking forward to all your videos!

Found a black 🐈⬛ in November, named him Haru. My building doesn't allow pets.
He has learned that I call him Haru, if I need to find him all I need to do is go to his spot and call out his name, he will come running and often time will announce himself to get my attention.
He even knows my building and will wait for us sometimes.
Cats are so intelligent.
thank you for sharing this video. It helps me how to teach my baby ash with treats. new friend here
Dude your advice is awesome. I've used it on my stray cats. But I don't use a clicker I whistle. I whistle for my cats like I do for my dogs when I want them to come eat. I used your method for them to understand their names. I say their names and use a distinct whistle for a few months then drop the whistle with their name and boom! Still use whistle for breakfast and dinner though. Or any time I want them home.lol
