I have four cats and not having my parents alive and no close family they show unconditional love. I would go crazy if I didn’t have them. 50yr biker here.
I lost my 19 year old cat last December. He was a Ragdoll and exhibited every single one of these traits. It was devastating to lose him, but I think I’m ready for another cat. I feel like my Morgan would say “about time! You’ve been lonely and sad long enough!” He will always be one of the best friends I’ve ever had.
I empathize with your feelings, and I concur that Morgan would desire nothing more than your happiness. Therefore, as you embark on this new journey with another soul named Morgan, may it be a path filled with immense joy and boundless happiness. Remember, every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end. Embrace this fresh start with an open heart and let the joy flood in.
I have been scared of losing mine too. My cat will be 19 this year and I know she might die very soon. I am also scared cause I use her to help me with my anxiety, so when she's gone I will no longer have a pet to help me with my anxiety.
@@SakuraandSesshomaru I understand your feelings. You will know when it’s time. I have bipolar disorder and my cat greatly helped with my depression. I have to undergo a big surgery at the beginning of April, so I have to wait another month or so before I will be healthy enough to take on another cat. My son (who is 15 and grew up with my cat) and I both feel ready to rescue another cat. It will be very tough for you I know, but there will always be another little life you can save when you are ready. I will be thinking of you and your sweet fur baby.
It’s important to recognise that not all cats are lap cats. They may love your company, but for whatever reason they may not like sitting on you. But they will show their love in other ways, by sitting near you, or detouring through the room you’re in to casually brush past your leg or to investigate what you’re doing. It’s never a coincidence that a cat happens to be in the same room as you when they have access to other locations. They’re fascinated by humans and the things we do, and they want to be nearby so they can see what their human family is up to. So don’t think your cat doesn’t love you because they don’t fall asleep on your lap. They show their love and appreciation in hundreds of other small ways.
true. I have one who kinda does his own thing but then wants to climb up on mom whenever he can. my other little baby doesn't like to be on a lap, but he's my little shadow and always wants to brush up against me and make little purrs and chirps to me and always needs to be involved in whatever is happening. Adore them both to pieces -- and they both sleep on or directly touching me...and have figured out what time I wake up...and so wake me up about a half hour early bc they have realized that I'll play with them until the last possible minute....so they get extra playtime if they wake me up early.
True! My current kitty is not a lap cat, but he's generally in the same room as me, and when I leave the room, he follows. He sleeps in my bed, but doesn't cuddle much. That's just his personality. My previous cat wanted to cuddle and be held all the time. They're all so different. ❤
one of my little men is just so unaffectionate, doesn’t sit on laps, doesn’t even enjoy a stroke most of the time, so it’s good to know he doesn’t flat out hate me 😭 edit: i think it’s hard bc my other two are super affectionate! I’m literally cuddling one of them right now
So true! My oldest and first cat sleeps in the bed with me most nights, but is elusive the rest of the time lol, she never sits in my lap etc. my 2 bonded brother cats have to literally be next to me or under my chin as I sleep🥴🤷🏽♀️ big spoon little spoon 😂
Growing up poor, and in the country, we had a lot of outdoor cats that were my source of happiness and comfort. I was there for many births, even at the age of 8. But, what also cracks me up to recount is my daily walks around the property. I always had a train of 10-20 cats trailing along. I now work in rescue, helped advocate for better resources for the community to have in ways of low cost spay/neutering, and helped make our high-kill shelter a safe place for animals to be.
Your deep affection for these cute little critters is seriously heartwarming. The way you look after them gives us all a glimmer of hope and a whole lot of kindness. Here's to your future being as full of good stuff as the happiness you bring to these little ones. Your hard work doesn't just get a nod, it gets a standing ovation. Thanks for being such an awesome example of love and care! ❤❤
God bless you for your love in action ❤ ! I love dogs, ALL animals in fact but cats just fill my heart….my youngest brother and his wife are foster parents for cats. Him and I, about 23 years ago, became “the crazy cat brothers”lol. My wife and I found a wonderful TNR Shelter/ business. We now have 7 cats whom we love just like our children. 5 of the cats that let us live with them are 90% inside cats while 2 of our furry kids are 80% outside cats, spending WAY more time inside with us during the cold winter months. They start off as pets and in a blink become family, furry kids. We’re blessed to live at the end of a low traffic , dead end street and, weather permitting , ALL 7 cats will walk with me everyday practically like they were trained to do so. Animals, especially cats are just another way God shows us Daily He loves us. We’ve buried 4 of our beloved “kids” over the years but after the heartbreaking grieving process, which is absolutely necessary, the wonderful, loving memories far outweigh the pain and grief of the loss. I don’t intend on being all “preachy” but I believe God/ Jesus, at the end of this life will not only have beloved family & friends greet me (us) in heaven but many, many beloved cats, dogs and all kinds of animals (no separate heaven, no rainbow bridge ) welcome me (us in Christ) at the end of this life and the start of eternity. Like you, and THANK YOU AGAIN and God bless you for your love and care for animals, my wife and I will continue to trap, neuter/spay,feed, as well as love…everything in our power to make a better quality of life for cats as long as we possibly can & in this life ❤. I apologize for being “long winded lol” but whoever reads this novel can probably take a break from church this Sunday because you’ve already got your sermon 😂….just respectfully joking LOL.
@drdeath659 haha, it's okay and that is awesome. I feel like every little but helps. I've been a part of 3 organizations and support a couple of others just through donations. I found it harder to work with some of the people in rescue than any terrible situation an animal might be in. But the mass majority of people are in rescue for the right reasons, so I still work with one of the groups. I have 2 foster cats currently. They were feral, coming g out of a hoarded house of 50+ cats. They've all come a very long way in their trust and that makes it all so worth it.
My husband found an abandoned new born kitten in his shop and we took it to our vet and she showed us how to care for it, giving it a bottle every 30 minutes. day and night. (Thank goodness that routine only lasted a few weeks.) He ended being huge, weighing 24 pounds. We recently lost him after he shared our lives for 21 years. I still look at the foot of our bed and expect to see him. I’m so thankful for the memories and love he gave us throughout all the years.
I know how you must feel. My last cat lasted 18 years. It was so sad to see her pass after so many years with her! Pets can be much closer than humans can ever be!!!
I am so sorry for your loss. We have our first cat in 19 years. We've had dogs and house rabbits but, no cats. We had decided to go to the shelter and taking home whoever had been there the longest. The day after he told our cat loving neighbor this I woke up to both of them in the bedroom holding a teeny tiny black ball. He and his wife found him where he'd been dumped on the road, he was 5 weeks old. The vet had to remove an eye but, you'd never know it with how he gets around. He's 16 months old and huge! Not fat but big. Forgot how much fun they are. When the weather is nice I take him outside, to our fenced in yard.
My 2 do the same and I can say come on let's go and they get walk out of whatever room we're in. It's nice to know something loves me that much but sometimes it can be an issue especially when me and the wife wanna do the maritals. We have to out them out and shut the door. Because they will sit on the bed and just stare at us or try to get close and it's weird lol. But shutting them out also sucks because they will sit at the door crying the whole time.
About a year ago, I lost my 7 year old cat to cancer. Up till her last breath (which she took with her head on my lap) she was so very affectionate. Every night, she would curl up in the “nest’ created by my arm and elbow (side sleeper) as soon as I would lay down, and every night, she would groom me for a long time by licking and nibbling my goatee. It was so adorable, I’ve never had a cat do that. I can’t tell you how much I miss it.
My old boy had kitty-alzheimers in his last years. He'd go around the corner and soon start yowling in terror. I'd say his name and get the sweetest, softest 'meow' and a chirrup as he came back into the room.
My cat does all of these things, except follow me around. She prefers to lead me everywhere! I believe she thinks I’m an idiot, and wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything without her! But she loves me, even though I’m an idiot! 🤣
Haha, you're no nincompoop! It's just your mini-me shouting, "Mama, chase me around like a headless chicken!" Your comment totally made my day! Thank you!!!!
Recently got a visit from the cat distribution system. And honestly after watching this video it warms my heart. She is still very young and she was very afraid when we found her. But after a few minutes she followed us home. Didn’t bribe her with food or anything. She just warmed up to us. It’s now week 4 of her being in our lives and I’m so happy to know that she is happy. We love her and glad that she loves us in return. This video helped me with reassuring myself that she feels loved.
Thank you for your sweet comment! Sending all the good vibes and cuddles your way for you and your furry little baby. Wishing you both nothing but the best! ❤❤
My last cat imprinted on me from a kitten. The cat I have now was an abused animal. She was 13 years old at rescue. Through positive reinforcement and slowly building trust by pushing them out of their comfort level, she fully recovered and has imprinted on me even at that age. She absolutely loves and adores me now. Makes me happy to see her happy and healthy again.
My kitty is lovingly tickling me with his tail being so excited to cuddle up at night. He loves me though, when I had surgery poor baby was beside himself with worry when my schedule changed. He would “guard” my door and closely follow anyone who came into my room to help and apparently when I was sleeping he would bat and nip others to go away-he’s gentle and tame but protective! I appreciate his concern even if I couldn’t explain to him I would be alright. He gives me some daily purrs to whenever I feel sick. I knew he loved me when he looked at me and rested his chin on my arm and purred at me until I relaxed and my meds kick in whenever I’m in pain. What an empathetic companion I have. I hope he understands I want to give him the same comfort when storms upset him (I leave a hot pad on the low setting next to my bed so he can sit on it and cozy up and relax without feeling pressured to cuddle, storms make him really jumpy and he often wants some space).
Your heartwarming tale of the bond you share with your kitty is truly touching. It's often said that when a deep connection is formed, cats can be more attentive to their humans than even other people. Despite their inability to speak our language, they seem to possess an uncanny ability to uplift our spirits. Their purring and gentle nudges are just some of the ways they express their affection. Cats are indeed extraordinary creatures, and it's easy to believe that they hold some kind of enchanting charm within them.
Thanks for confirming what has been apparent for years. My daughter adopted her, and long before she went off to University, the cat chose me. The constant shadow can seem oppressive at times.
My cat plays fetch. He will *endlessly* find whatever item you throw for him. His current favorite is one of my wife’s hair ties. No matter where I throw that thing in the room, he’ll find it and bring it back. Then he’ll sit there looking at me like “Be a good hooman and throw the thing..” He always brings it back to the exact same spot and he never tries to keep it from me like a dog does.
I remember the exact moment my perfect boy Sammy realized I was his mommy. From that moment on he was absolutely obsessed with his momma. He was the best cat and I will never find another kitty like him.
Just got a cat like 3.5 weeks ago and he’s already my best friend he follows me everywhere, snuggles with me whenever I sit down, and he’s so talkative ♥️ he’s my favorite part of the day and i definitely think he loves me
I’ve adopted a beautiful Himalayan whose last person passed away and the family didn’t want her. She is slowly starting to tolerate me. It’s been months but she needs her space. I hope she will eventually see me as her person but I know she is grieving. Poor wee baby.
they grieve as deeply as humans do. thats the reason why when i had to give up bella and smokey i cried the entire year almost evwry day cuz if they felt even a fraction of the heartbreak i felt it multiplied my own tenfold knowing i put them through that kind of grief. i miss them every day
Cats absolutely get used to a routine. My boy has actually become excellent at reminding me to take a break every few hours. If i ignore the "cat face" he uses to tell me the first time he will escalate to meowing, putting a paw on me, and finally climbing into my tools/onto my project until i at least walk into the kitchen, walk to the door (opening is not required but is appreciated), and sit somewhere else for 10 minutes. If i try to cut my break short he meows at me to go back to break. He's a wonderful su-purr-visor.
Oh my gosh, I thought dogs were beggers, the cat in my life waits for EVERY SINGLE THING I eat(that would be safe for her to eat), just to taste test. If she likes it, she remembers and she curls up in my lap while I eat, waiting patiently for her turn. It's neat that your cat likes lettuce, veggies are tricky. Wonder if it's like grass to them? Or if they actually enjoy it?
We were asked to be a foster home for a two year old cat named Smokey. After a few days, we fell in love with him and decided to adopt. He brings us so much joy. ❤❤❤
I wasn't there when we had to put ours down due to ill health! And it totally broke my Mother's heart who was with him at the time... It all happened so fast... I feel guilty! But at least work was kind enough to allow me to take the rest of the day off when I heard the sudden news... I mean, it was supposed to be a routine check up! Anyway, I will get another one day... Just not now... I still miss him...
Please don't harbor any feelings of guilt. Your beloved cat cherished you, and I extend my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Life is indeed filled with unexpected turns, but rest assured that your feline friend recognized the depth of your love. If it had the ability to communicate in our language, I'm confident it would express its gratitude for the affection you showered upon it and reassure you that everything is alright.@@sdwone
I have an 8yo tuxedo cat I raised from a baby. I spend a lot of time in the woods, and he likes to go with me. A few years ago, I was working at a very remote forest service area that rented cabins to the public. This area is known for bears and mountain lions, so we were always very cautious outside around dawn and dusk; when those animals are most active. One evening, he and I were sitting outside and I detected movement from the tree line. A few seconds later, a large black bear, probably 200+lbs, came into view. Homer(my kitty) reared up and puffed himself up as big as he could get, screeched, and ran at the bear. He scared it off and it disappeared into the forest. I was pretty surprised by his reaction. He was protecting his human. I have told this story many times to many people, but very few believed it. Homer is sitting in a chair next to my desk as I am typing this. He is fearless, and has tussled with many wild critters; and to this day, I have no doubt that he would chase a bear away again if he felt it necessary. Cats are awesome.
Our cat dragged in a big dead pigeon that she had killed. She looked so proud as she dropped it in the center of the kitchen floor for all of us to see. You could tell she was sharing her trophy with the rest of the family. The dead bird wasn't my favorite sight, but we could all tell how important it was to her.
Just because the cat relies on you doesn't mean it considers you a servant. It depends on you as a parent. I had a cat that once I fed him, he would spend several minutes thanking me before he would eat. He was SO grateful to be fed he'd look at the food and then smell it then spend several minutes purring and rolling on my feet before he'd finally get up and gobble the food down. Also one of my current cats couldn't care less WHO is feeding her, she only has interest in my. Several times I had to leave her with my mom, and she did NOT bond with my mom or show any interest in hanging out with her despite spending months in her care. She would only want to be around me when I came by.
I swear, with the exception of being the food provider my Male and oldest cat thinks he runs the house hold, hates the word no, he likes to walk in front of me, and I feel like he's trying to guide me to where he wants me to go, which is where his cat food is stored, hoping I will put down some more food. Always preferring the new-stuff fresh out of the bag regardless of when I last put food in his bowl.
I got my girl Abby when she was just a tiny thing. Raised her myself until she was about 5 and when my now fiance came into the picture it was all over. She was a daddy's girl from there on out. But now that she's getting older and has had some chronic conditions crop up, she's come back to her mama for comfort. I may not have been the favorite for a while, but she hasn't forgotten that I'm her mama and I'm honored to be the one that takes care of her and that she knows she can come to me for help. ❤
My son’s cat of 11 years became my cat when my son moved out with his now wife 4 years ago. His wife is allergic. I became the cat’s number one as exhibited by almost all of the mentioned behaviors. My wife laughs about how much I love our cat. Everyone says he’s the closest thing to a dog socially that a cat could be. I enjoy every day with him, and know that I will be crushed when his time comes.
I’ve got a shelter boy cat when he was about 6 months. 4 y/o now. Same thing. Closest thing to having a dog. He’s big and orange. Has a Maine coon look. Both those traits seem to be associated with being social.
This video brought tears in my eyes i lost my male cat last year he was 2 yrs old, his mom was also dear to me..... sometimes i just sit in my room reminiscence about how happy he was sleeping on my clothes, jumped on my lap always choosing me among my family...ah i miss him my adorable babu ❤ i hope wherever he is in this world he is happy and healthy ❤️
I'm deeply sorry for your loss. Losing a beloved pet is never easy. Take comfort in the love and happiness you shared. The memories you created will remain with you, providing peace in time. Be gentle with yourself as you grieve; your cat was blessed to have you. 🌷🌷❣
My cat calls me Mama. I dont have to watch this video to know! Whenever I'm on the porch or patio he will scream at me through the window. Neighbors walking by will stop and ask, "Is-is your cat actually calling you mom and mama? OMG go pet him right now!" I have to explain to them that I'm disabled and I'm always home. He gets plenty of love and attention. He is just really clingy! X'D
I love my cat. She’s fussy around everyone but my girlfriend and I, but holy crap if my heart doesn’t melt when she slow blinks at me and makes biscuits on my back to wake me up every morning 🥹
Cats somehow always know a person from the start. I found Anubis, who was already fully-grown, outside the apartment building one morning. It basically went like this: Stray: "Would you like a cat?" Me: "Well, I wasn't really--" Stray: "You have a cat now." And he went straight to engaging in all these behaviors as soon as I took him in.
Oh I know my ginger baby imprinted on me. He has been my house manager all our lives together. He'll help me remember to turn lights off or close doors/windows if I'm too sick to properly remember. He'll check the temperature of my shower if he thinks it's too hot. Before I go to work, he'll let me know if I'm forgetting something or inadequately prepared to face the day. His internal clock is perfection, and I really don't need to set alarms because of it. (He adjusted to daylight savings time exactly on time. How even?!) This little furball of mine is the best to have around and I feel so lucky that we discovered each other.
Your story is absolutely enchanting, and it's clear that your ginger feline companion is truly extraordinary. It's evident that there exists a profound bond between you two, a connection so deep that it allows Ginger to perform these magical and awe-inspiring feats for you. You must be an incredibly special person to inspire such devotion in him!
I got 2 kittens, brother and sister on Dec 14 2022. They were 8 weeks old. I named them Gemini and Jewel. Gemi comes into my room every night within like 60 seconds of me laying down and gets on my stomach and kneads my blanket for like 15-20 minutes then he jumps down, goes and does whatever and comes back to my bed. If I'm awake and we make eye contact he starts kneading again for a few minutes before laying right next to me, his back touching my side. If I'm sleeping or pretending then he just lays down. On several occasions I've woke up with him under my blanket usally laying between my feet or calf muscles. He's always loved playing under the blanket. I call it mole kitty, he lay perfectly still then I touch the outside of the blanket and runs over, I keep doing that til one of us gets bored. Jewel is a special kitty also, she always knows how to make me smile and how to piss me off, but less of the latter. She likes to play fetch with those milk rings that come off half and full gallons of milk. She loves them she carries them around, head held high so happy and proud that she conquered the little piece of plastic.
I have two cats, both girls, and both twins from the same litter. I got them at 3 weeks, and raised them all by myself. They are now almost two years old, and they are super sweet (and even trained to listen to certain vocal commands!) Everyone always says they want to get an adult cat because kittens are hard to raise, I am here to say that if you want the love and amazing affection people talk about with cats, get a kitten. It's hard, it's a bit tough to get them to learn, and they do tear things up. However, it's so worth it to raise your kitten into the cat just for you.
A few years ago a friend decided she couldn’t take care of her cat anymore. My friend has a serious illness that makes physical movement very painful. I accepted the responsibility to adopt Tiger. She’s about a bit over 3 now. She’s been with for two years. It took her well over a year to show me her belly. I was so happy. I knew what it meant.
Embrace the joy of stepping into the beautiful journey of motherhood to Tiger. Congratulations! Together, you and Tiger are destined to create a tapestry of unforgettable moments and magical memories. Cherish every step of this wonderful adventure!
My one cat rushes to the door when I come home and literally needs to be cuddled upon my arrival. My other cat quietly waits in the doorway for me say his name in greeting before giving a rub and walking away. My babes are just different personalities and I love them both. When I sit in any room my shy guy will find somewhere to perch where he can keep an eye on me. He doesn’t do cuddles, but if I change rooms, he must to. 😊
My cat likes to follow me around outside, which is fine unless I have to go more than a block away. Had to carry her back home a few times before I could go anywhere.
My 2 cats, mother and son. Mother was a rescue animal. They do all of tgese but the last one. The son, since he was raised in my closet bonded fiercely with me. Such sweet cats.
I have a cat that comes and stares at me when he thinks it's bedtime and 2 that race me up the stairs. I have a cat that would sleep against my legs at night. He now sleeps either across the bed from me or next to his brother who now sleeps pressed against my shins. The cat that sleeps against my shins does not like to be picked up or held. When I got the cats, one hid from me for a couple of weeks. Now, he comes to me a million times a day wanting affection and when I walk into a room, he appears out of nowhere crying for affection. My female cat drapes herself across my leg and sleeps. My knee is covered in tiny scabs from her extending her paws and drawing them back. None of the cats' claws fully retract. All 3 cats scent mark my legs and the cabinets in the bathroom while I sit on the toilet because my toilet time is their affection time and I can only pet 1 at a time. I often sit on the couch with a cat curled up on each side and the 3rd curled up on the back of the couch. I wanted affectionate cats, and I got cats that want affection all of the time.
My furry son most definitely chose me the first time I saw and held him. He immediately climbed to my shoulder and proceeded to literally run around my head. When anyone else held him, he just sat there. Not doing anything as long as he could see me. He came home with me and has been my loving companion for almost 16 years. His 16th birthday is next month on the 15th. And 10 weeks from that date will be our 16th anniversary. He is the most beautiful (according to everyone who sees him) tawny color. He has the M on his forehead, but that is as close as he gets to a tabby. On his back and sides, He has lovely tiger stripes. If I had known they were tiger stripes, I might have named him Tigger. Instead he is Pyewacket the 2nd. I named him after the cat in the Jimmy Stewart/Kim Novak movie, Bell, Book, and Candle.
You and Pyewacket, what a dynamic duo! You're like Batman and Robin, but with more fur. Happy Birthday to the fantastically named Pyewacket! That name is so cool it should come with its own theme song! 💌❤
My 8 yyear old tuxedo cat Jethro has had a special bond with me ever since we got him. He exhibits all these signs and more. He still shows love to my husband and daughter but is not as close with them. Jethro knows my moods well I’ve always suffered with mental health and when I’m having a bad day he immediately comes to me purring loud and cuddles me. Sometimes he’ll sit and put pressure on my chest as if to remind me to breathe. Or he’ll start grooming me. He’s my first cat and a very special one. He loves his belly pet which is rare for cats. You can hold him like a baby too and he is just as happy purring away. When friends come over even ones he hasn’t met he goes up to meet them asking for pets. He such a happy confident cat.
One of my cats does all of these (even has a unique meow that he reserves for me and me alone). The other two do some of these. Angel does some of these with my fiancé too so she thinks we’re both her parents. Victor is mainly the one who leaves toys, bottles, and yes even the trash in the trash can he gets into in the middle of the floor. He used to take my cables for my gaming consoles and drop them at the foot of my bed while I slept but I have long since cleaned those up. I guess he knows I’m a gamer and offers me gifts of entertainment 😂
I rescued a 3 year old, it's taken a few months but now it's fine. I retired a couple of months ago and i am really glad that my cat keeps me company during the day when my partner is working
My cats both greet me at the top of the stairs the moment they hear me coming. My wife tells me mine could be upstairs, but if he hears me he is up in a flash.
I have a 17 year old Siamese cat. She is old but still is full of antics. She is still very sharp and plays games. If she is meowing and attention is not immediately forthcoming she will scratching the wall, which she knows better. Or chewing on stuff. I love her very much and am thankful she is healthy 😊
The cat at work that i always feed and play with does most of this. And it always warms my heart how affectionate she is to me compared to the other employees that pet her.
My wife took a rescued kitten which had been left out for the crows. Nearly blind and too young to leave the mother. I thought that she was crazy, not being a cat person but 2 years later and after a lot of eye meds Stevie is my shadow and without any doubt I am his human. He even trained me to throw a tow mouse for him to fetch. I can’t even exercise without him on my back or chest lol
I love these furry creatures TOO much! I lost mine several years ago... Not ready to own another just yet... But I'm close to my Sister's cat whom I look after from time-to-time so, this works for me for now... But yeah! No disrespect to dogs... Or dog lovers... But it's ALL team cat for me!!! 🤗🐱❤
My cat got really sick, she was 16yo, and I had to make that decision to how long she should go through this pain, this was the hardest decision I've ever made, she was put to sleep in my arms, now I've lost actual family members in the past, lost loves in my life from failed relationships, but I have never ever felt a loss even close to losing my beautiful cat, she was so unique and had a personality I've never seen in a cat before, just talking about this has me in tears, they say your cat imprints on you, well I imprinted on my cat! I too am not ready for another cat, as much as I want one, I feel I don't want it to be like I'm replacing her!
I tell people that I was raised by 2 mothers, the one who gave birth, and the one one who chose me as a 4 year old. She lived for 21 years and I lost her just before I left for my assignment to Germany. Where, as soon as my girlfriend arrived, I went and adopted 2 more Siamese kittens who, when my daughters were born, shared parenting lessons with us!
I've had several pets in my lifetime, but my last friend, Bitsy is the one I miss the most. Every one of these examples she showed me daily, and since her passing I miss her. It's a time of my life I will always cherish.
My two current cats that my fiance and I raised from 3 week old kittens tend to follow me into the bathroom when I need to use it. One will curl up either behind me, in the tub, in the sink, or the top shelf and the either will choose any other open spot. Sometimes they'll even follow their daddy[my fiance] into the kitchen when he's cooking or cleaning.
The tale I've heard for my kitten is that she (and we're guessing her brother) were accidentally separated from their mother before they were ready. In the time since I started caring for her (10ish months) she hasn't encountered another cat, so she doesn't seem to realize that humans like cat purrs, but she knows I keep her fed and safe. She's made actions that seem to say 'daddy...' though
I love my cat all of those are true except the last one he is so scared there was a time when a bird was outside and it was looking him in a weird way and my cat just stayed in a corner waiting me to make the bird leave he May be not be a good hunter but I always will love him he doesn't hurt anyone he is a kind orange cat
I got my 2 kittens In the middle of March 2024. My tabby cat was hungry and I was getting their meals ready. But when I called both her name and her litter mate (tuxedo cat). The Max the tuxedo cat did not show up. She kept looking behind her for him. I asked her to call out to him. She did alongside me several times. She also rushed to the living room to get him to come eat. It was the cutest thing ever. And Max likes to sit right behind me. He licks my arm or my back. Whatever is closer. 😂 it is both weird and hilarious I hope we can continue to bond like this.
My cat used to put some of his dry kibble in my workboots constantly. Sometimes he would also put some of his treats in them. He fed me, and gave me treats 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Ive had my 11 year old tortie, Cinnamon, since she was a kitten. Ive talked to her her whole life, so she's very vocal. One of her favorite activities to do with me is this: I gently hold on to the tip of her tail and follow her around as she marks stuff and chirps at me while I comment, "Oh, THAT'S kitty's! And THAT'S kitty's too!" I like to say that she sees me as her sidekick lol. She's very independent but also my little shadow. She wakes me up at 6am every morning for snuggles. She's my little furbaby and I probably wouldn't still be here if it weren't for her 🥲
All good things, but ZeFrank, on the series Dear Kitten pointed out that also, cats will sit with their butt pointing to the things they love/enjoy. I have seen it with numerous cats, including the one I live with now. I get the cat-butt-point all the time and it is very reassuring 🥰😻👍🏻👍🏻
We literally saved a half grown runt from the side of the road. I'm pretty sure he was thrown away. He doesn't meow or chitter because he learned quickly to be quiet. He must be in constant touch with someone though or around us. He is hyper before he crashes. I mean apocalyptic hyper. I love him apocalyptic hyper or angelic sleeping. He's ours and we're his.
My cats do all these except bring "gifts" as they are indoor cats. My cat Caesar was a ragdoll and did all of these, including being at the door to greet me when I came home from work. sadly i lost him when he was 17 due to sudden renal failure. His death was SO hard for me because he was my best friend for such a long period of time. I called him my non romantic inter-species life mate. I was with him until the very very end. I miss you Caesar. ❤
Ceasar must have been an extraordinary feline companion, and rest assured, he knew your love for him was boundless. While his absence may be painful, life's journey continues. Be confident that Ceasar would want nothing more than for you to embrace the future with the same love and warmth you shared with him.
Someone dropped a half feril kitten off at the house my friends and I shared in college.. he quickly became my cat and always slept at the foot of my bed. He wasn't a lap cat, we had a sign "don't pet the cat" it took the entire vets office and a few towels to get a blood sample out if his tail!! . He was a huge , muscled and very intelligent cat. I had him for 20 years. Towards the end he wanted to be held and petted all the time.
My beautiful fur baby has turned out to be the most loyal and loving sweetheart. She was abused as a very tiny kitten so i wasn't sure how things would go, when licking me her eyes r closed and we play fight but her claws r never out and such gentle bites plus the occasional lick, but i know from these vidoes she loves me and that love is returned very much so. I think she was sent for me from my cat Angel who lived up to her name, but sadly I had to say see u later on a few years ago and that killed me but last year I was asked to give a home to this lovely girl and so glad i did it 😍😻 xo ❤
My cat once lead me into my garage to show me a leaf she found. She pushed it towards me and played with it when I tossed it in the air.
Awww 🥰
That is so wholesome🌸

@@physicaldose thank you for your kind words ❤️
Adopt soon. Don’t let love go to waste. Your cat would want you to be happy. Adopt a cat who will be thankful for all your time.
I needed to hear that 😂
True! My current kitty is not a lap cat, but he's generally in the same room as me, and when I leave the room, he follows. He sleeps in my bed, but doesn't cuddle much. That's just his personality. My previous cat wanted to cuddle and be held all the time. They're all so different. ❤
one of my little men is just so unaffectionate, doesn’t sit on laps, doesn’t even enjoy a stroke most of the time, so it’s good to know he doesn’t flat out hate me 😭
edit: i think it’s hard bc my other two are super affectionate!
You are an amazing being. I’m sure all the animals you come in contact with/care feel the love🩷 I do TNR currently and it’s such a rewarding feeling
@@physicaldose💯AGREED ❤!!!!!
🫂🫂🫂
I get it, it's painful but you're grateful for the love ❤😢
❤😺
I can't go anywhere in my apartment without my cat following right behind me, and he hates it when I close the bathroom door on him! 🤣🥰
Better than the alternative. My cat demands that *I* follow *him* and pet him on particular windowsills.
Same here!!
I never get to go to the bathroom or sleep alone
2 of my 3 cats won't let me take a shower with a closed door.
I lost my cat,she was 25 years old 4 weeks ago and I really miss her
Im so sorry for Your loss!
I truly hope closure But to never forget the beautiful moments You cherished with your kitty.

I feel and am so sorry for your loss and pain, but you’ll see her again, perfectly healthy and happy never to part my friend ❤️💯🙏🏻
My old boy had kitty-alzheimers in his last years. He'd go around the corner and soon start yowling in terror. I'd say his name and get the sweetest, softest 'meow' and a chirrup as he came back into the room.
God bless you for taking care of your lovely cat ❤
My cat does all of these things, except follow me around. She prefers to lead me everywhere! I believe she thinks I’m an idiot, and wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything without her! But she loves me, even though I’m an idiot! 🤣
Haha, you're no nincompoop! It's just your mini-me shouting, "Mama, chase me around like a headless chicken!" Your comment totally made my day! Thank you!!!!
Cats are magical, mystical creatures and I’m honored to have been chosen by my sweet kitty Neo ❤
YEAHHHH! ❤❤❤
Thank you for taking her home, you are amazing. I’ve got a parking lot kitty myself that is the most clingy in the house even after 4 years💗
My last cat imprinted on me from a kitten.
God bless you for having the patience and love to help that poor creature ❤
i will forever love cats. they are so soft, cuddly and cute.
When he was a kitten, my Kat (his name is KitKat) taught me he likes to play fetch. It's such a heartwarming and mind blowing moment
I remember the exact moment my perfect boy Sammy realized I was his mommy. From that moment on he was absolutely obsessed with his momma. He was the best cat and I will never find another kitty like him.
Just got a cat like 3.5 weeks ago and he’s already my best friend he follows me everywhere, snuggles with me whenever I sit down, and he’s so talkative ♥️ he’s my favorite part of the day and i definitely think he loves me
Every dog I have ever owned was like my best friend! But every cat I have ever owned was like true family.❤😊

I’ve adopted a beautiful Himalayan whose last person passed away and the family didn’t want her. She is slowly starting to tolerate me. It’s been months but she needs her space. I hope she will eventually see me as her person but I know she is grieving. Poor wee baby.
they grieve as deeply as humans do. thats the reason why when i had to give up bella and smokey i cried the entire year almost evwry day cuz if they felt even a fraction of the heartbreak i felt it multiplied my own tenfold knowing i put them through that kind of grief. i miss them every day
Bless you for taking her in, I’m sure she’s a beauty too. We’ve had cats that didn’t fully come around or seek attention for years. You’ll get there😉
@@chris-b6z4ewhy did you give them up?
Cats absolutely get used to a routine. My boy has actually become excellent at reminding me to take a break every few hours. If i ignore the "cat face" he uses to tell me the first time he will escalate to meowing, putting a paw on me, and finally climbing into my tools/onto my project until i at least walk into the kitchen, walk to the door (opening is not required but is appreciated), and sit somewhere else for 10 minutes. If i try to cut my break short he meows at me to go back to break. He's a wonderful su-purr-visor.
Yeah, my cat tells me when to go to bed. She won't relax until I put the cpap on.
Sharing food, my cat and I shared yogurt, cheese sticks, lettuce....
Cat love is the best.
My wife & I have three indoor kitties. The youngest little boy loves to lick bananas; and the other two love shredded fresh lettuce.
All my animals gather around especially for cheese sticks. Please tell me it was after you were done before you get them eat that stuff.
We were asked to be a foster home for a two year old cat named Smokey. After a few days, we fell in love with him and decided to adopt. He brings us so much joy. ❤❤❤

What an Amazing Story!
So beautiful and wonderful what a CAT will do for thier special Human. Thank you so much for sharing!
Bless you and Homer!

Cats are the best! No one wants to tangle with razor mittens!
Yess, they love doing that😂
My cats are my world, and I am their world, too. I give them all the love I can possibly give them. I would be lost without them.
I loved my cat. We shared the same hobbies: Eating, Sleeping, &...................................bird watching.
You are your cat's servant. Never forget that!
Not true. If you truly bond with a cat and you pay attention closely, you'll discover that it considers you to be something even more than family
That is probably because the cat is smarter than you. Thus you are the cat’s pet.
Hardly. Cats are a companionship. Dogs maybe, you are the master, but not cats, unless you're a jerk
I think my cat filled out the adoption papers. I guess she owns me.😂

Absolutely beautiful, Thank you ❤❤
I love my cat.
It basically went like this:
Stray: "Would you like a cat?"
Me: "Well, I wasn't really--"
Stray: "You have a cat now."
And he went straight to engaging in all these behaviors as soon as I took him in.
SOO PURR-FECT!!
I LOVE IT ❤❤🙏
Oh I know my ginger baby imprinted on me.
My cat is named ginger as well ❤
I got 2 kittens, brother and sister on Dec 14 2022.
I have had many a cat in my life and all have done these. The slow blink is one I remember since my very earliest memories.
Ya know guys like cats too. I have a colony of 27 at the moment
I have two cats, both girls, and both twins from the same litter. I got them at 3 weeks, and raised them all by myself. They are now almost two years old, and they are super sweet (and even trained to listen to certain vocal commands!)
Everyone always says they want to get an adult cat because kittens are hard to raise, I am here to say that if you want the love and amazing affection people talk about with cats, get a kitten.

I love cats. They’re the best thing in the world!
My cat likes to follow me around outside, which is fine unless I have to go more than a block away. Had to carry her back home a few times before I could go anywhere.
When I hang clothes on line she jumps onto my shoulder
My 2 cats, mother and son. Mother was a rescue animal. They do all of tgese but the last one. The son, since he was raised in my closet bonded fiercely with me. Such sweet cats.
I love it when my cat sleeps in my lap. I have endometriosis and it soothes me, and it’s like they know.
@@physicaldose I never thought of a themes a song for him. How about "naw naw naw" 3 times with " Pyewacket " thrown in out of nowhere?
Mr P, you gave us 20 months of pure love and joy will always have you with us in our hearts ❤❤ miss you more everyday xxxx
What a lovely voice you have! Enjoyed your vid very much: streaming and sharing. Thank you!
My cat's try to smother me when I sleep.😂 I 😻 them all.
thank you for this ❤
Sometimes my yellow fluffy guy 'Lion" follows me to the beach for a light swim. He also loves to take boat rides, he follows me everywhere.
Yes when they sleep on beds I can go up to them and cuddle and slow blink it's so nice
Thank you so much . I am a new cat owner. I was not understanding these behaviors before. Me and my cat have alot of these positive interactions. 😊
My feral kitty didn’t warm up to coming in right away but she became our sweetest friend. She lived to 21.
Great video. Well done. Thanks 🙏
My cat will just stare at me
The cat at work that i always feed and play with does most of this.
Used to play hunt with my cat on our garden. He will go hunt mode and will chase my feet while on the grass. He never bite me he just like tag me.
I LOVE both, animals are amazing ❤
Yes! I love dogs and cats! I’ve had some special dogs and special cats over the years.
One of my (two) cats senses when I'm going to use the phone and comes in to sit on my lap and get in on the call.
I have accepted that I just cannot live without a cat.
So far so good! I might be a parent to these silly little furry buggers!
I've had several pets in my lifetime, but my last friend, Bitsy is the one I miss the most. Every one of these examples she showed me daily, and since her passing I miss her. It's a time of my life I will always cherish.
❤🩹❤❤
They dont see you as a parent they see you as the leader of their pack
1:00 or what's most likely the case her food bowl is empty
I'm imprinted on my cat and the other way around.
I wake up every morning to one of our feral cats licking my arm. Sometimes the alarm clock doesn't go off, but Dusty always makes sure I'm on track.
I love my cat all of those are true except the last one he is so scared there was a time when a bird was outside and it was looking him in a weird way and my cat just stayed in a corner waiting me to make the bird leave he May be not be a good hunter but I always will love him
he doesn't hurt anyone he is a kind orange cat
I got my 2 kittens In the middle of March 2024. My tabby cat was hungry and I was getting their meals ready. But when I called both her name and her litter mate (tuxedo cat). The Max the tuxedo cat did not show up. She kept looking behind her for him. I asked her to call out to him. She did alongside me several times. She also rushed to the living room to get him to come eat. It was the cutest thing ever. And Max likes to sit right behind me. He licks my arm or my back. Whatever is closer. 😂 it is both weird and hilarious I hope we can continue to bond like this.
Not my cat slow blinking back 😢😅😅😅
Wrong! Your cat sees you as one of its servants
LOL..
😂😂 So true
You're not wrong
Could be both
I agree!
My cat used to put some of his dry kibble in my workboots constantly. Sometimes he would also put some of his treats in them.
He fed me, and gave me treats 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Most of my cats are all 10. But a couple don't care for a belly rub or sit on my lap. But are very very loving and love tp be petted.
She's my little furbaby and I probably wouldn't still be here if it weren't for her 🥲
Absolutely Beautiful...
Thank you for Sharing!
❤🙏❤
All good things, but ZeFrank, on the series Dear Kitten pointed out that also, cats will sit with their butt pointing to the things they love/enjoy. I have seen it with numerous cats, including the one I live with now. I get the cat-butt-point all the time and it is very reassuring 🥰😻👍🏻👍🏻
Yay, presents!
Like the headless squirrel I got for Christmas😅
I always have a Siamese cat in my bed and she loves me. Her name is Violet.
Salem is my shadow. He only comes out when i get home. He knows me by voice, walking, and car alarm. Hes slowly warming up to mom
My cat turns 5 later this year and i got her a year ago and she does all this. Shes the sweetest bean.
I LOVE IT (APOCALYPTIC)
❤❤
My cat plays with my headband
Ngl this sounds like every cat I've ever met
