Thanks! This makes a lot of Nermal's behavior much clearer. He LOVES to pounce and rip my hand open in the middle of the night when I'm asleep, and it HURTS because his fangs are huge! He's this little cat, with Saber Tooth Tiger teeth! I thought he was just gunning for me, but he's not. He's trying to play but his schedule is terrible! What I do now, is I have a long play session with him about 15 minutes before we go to bed, and he doesn't attack me at 2 in the morning! He also loves to 'grunt' at me. He doesn't do this with my husband, only with me. I'll see him napping and come pet him. He'll sit up, look right at me and then the grunting starts--it's it's multi-tonal, like he's telling me about his day. I ask him questions back. He's got very specific behaviors for the two of us.

My neutered male is not very cuddly unless I am sitting in my recliner prefers to be alone

I have 4 gremlins and each of them do every item on this list but by far the cutest or sweetest thing is my 11 year old 14 lb Bruce bringing me his bird toy. Bruce is not a big chonk 14 pounds, its 14 pounds of muscle and I joke that he is the apex predator of my house. But he has this favorite toy of 8 years that is one of those squeaky birds on a wand. He'll carry that bird around the house dragging the string and the wand it is attached to and makes the most sweetest and innocent kitten like whimper meows until he brings the bird to me.

I love my cat. She’s fussy around everyone but my girlfriend and I, but holy crap if my heart doesn’t melt when she slow blinks at me and makes biscuits on my back to wake me up every morning 🥹

The cat at work that i always feed and play with does most of this. And it always warms my heart how affectionate she is to me compared to the other employees that pet her.

Ive had my 11 year old tortie, Cinnamon, since she was a kitten. Ive talked to her her whole life, so she's very vocal. One of her favorite activities to do with me is this: I gently hold on to the tip of her tail and follow her around as she marks stuff and chirps at me while I comment, "Oh, THAT'S kitty's! And THAT'S kitty's too!" I like to say that she sees me as her sidekick lol. She's very independent but also my little shadow. She wakes me up at 6am every morning for snuggles. She's my little furbaby and I probably wouldn't still be here if it weren't for her 🥲

I have an 8yo tuxedo cat I raised from a baby. I spend a lot of time in the woods, and he likes to go with me. A few years ago, I was working at a very remote forest service area that rented cabins to the public. This area is known for bears and mountain lions, so we were always very cautious outside around dawn and dusk; when those animals are most active. One evening, he and I were sitting outside and I detected movement from the tree line. A few seconds later, a large black bear, probably 200+lbs, came into view. Homer(my kitty) reared up and puffed himself up as big as he could get, screeched, and ran at the bear. He scared it off and it disappeared into the forest. I was pretty surprised by his reaction. He was protecting his human. I have told this story many times to many people, but very few believed it. Homer is sitting in a chair next to my desk as I am typing this. He is fearless, and has tussled with many wild critters; and to this day, I have no doubt that he would chase a bear away again if he felt it necessary. Cats are awesome.

My adopted feral will bite my nipple. Beyond being a human, I am a male. I had to bottle feed him after his mother abandoned him before weaning.
