What is YOUR favorite Pixar film?
Cars 1, 2 and 3
who cares? watch all of them if you want, as long as you react and we get to enjoy your company, Ange. 🙂
Onward🧙♀️🐉
Either way, Nemo's friends are fish food because none of are used being in the free ocean and all are still in their bags without a way to get them unless the Puffer Fish swells up.
@@sammylane21 bruh, fish can solve their own problems, that's one of the movie's great lessons.
when you asked "who's Gil's voice actor?" I had to listen to the voice again and immediately "Norman's on sabbatical, honey" in my head lol
😂😂😂 Peter Peter Peter, no god deed goes unpunished
Willem Dafoe who played Green Goblin voiced Gil which I’m just finding that out wondering why Gil’s voice sounded so familiar from someone else who was a Legend after all these years
I was like WHAT?! when I found that out.
Nemo: I cant, I-I-I have a bad fin!
Gil: You and I are not so different
29:56 I am amazed by the meaning behind this scene 🐋
I'm not sure who's worse; Darla for killing all those fish or her uncle for giving her a fish after she keeps killing them. It's pretty messed up really.
The Uncle has good intentions; he loves her niece and wanted to give her something nice...
Definitely the uncle. As much as I dislike Darla, she’s just a little kid. He’s an adult who’s seen this happen and should know better by now
@@liamisaac1152 Agreed, if that was my niece I'd be like "yeah no more fish until you learn to be more responsible" I just hope she never had a puppy or kitten
@@ShamarTheGuy I think they’re talking about the dentist and the little girl.
Definitely the uncle; it's an adult's job to teach a kid right from wrong
My family went to see this film in the cinema when it came out in 2003, I was 13 at the time. The bit when Marlin turns to swim away and the shark is right there, my dad, in the middle of a cinema full of families with young children, jumped and shouted "OH FUCK!". Most people found it hilarious but my mum spent the next 10 minutes quietly apologising to anyone within earshot 😂
Finding Nemo was, at the time, the second-highest grossing animated film ever (behind The Lion King) and has a 99% on Rotten Tomatoes. ❤️ It won Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards (Pixar’s first among MANY) and was nominated for an additional three: Best Sound Editing (Gary Rydstrom and Michael Silvers), Best Original Score (Thomas Newman), and Best Original Screenplay (Andrew Stanton, Bob Peterson, and David Reynolds). Stanton also co-directed A Bug’s Life, and directed both WALL-E and Finding Dory. ❤️
Stanton also directed John Carter which was criminally badly handled by Disney's PR.
Not to mention, Don Hahn, who produced The Lion King, congratulated Stanton on the film’s success.
That "predator" at the beginning is a barracuda, it's one of the largest predatory fish you can find and they're pretty damn terrifying when you see one, especially in real life 😳
yea one bit through my cousins finger while pier fishing in ventura lol they have like 2inch long, razor sharp teeth
I don't really agree with you, I met some of them during my dives and they are rather graceful than scary !
@@lookatzett7861 that's because you might've been on its good side
@@kylemiller5148 Trying to hook one probably wouldn't put it in a good mood lol.
@@mnomadvfx I could probably just look at it and it would get pi***d off 🤣
Gill is a Moorish Idol, a species that doesn’t do great in captivity, so we can see why he wanted to escape. I want a Finding Gill movie.
In the original storyboard of the movie, there was going to be a scene where Coral and the eggs were originally seen inside the barracuda's mouth, but it was later cut from the final film because it would have scared little kids watching the movie.
I had the 2-Disc version of the film with the behind the scenes stuff, do you know where I can see that storyboard
@@de606returns6 ruclips.net/video/yeVK6zZPkNw/видео.html&ab_channel=FindingNemoFan2003
Yes,We Don't Have The Storyboard,But We Have Concept Art Of It On Disc 1. If You Look All Around Disc 1,You'll Find It.
Fun fact - the director of the movie Andrew Stanton played the surfer dude turtle Crush - he made a guide track and the casting people couldn't find anyone they liked better.
Very interesting
Deff a classic! Saw it with my grandma when it was in theaters, she had Alzheimer’s. Always think of her whenever I see it on / watch it! Thanks for this!!!
Strange, I was born in 2001, and according to my parents, this was the first film I saw in theaters as a toddler, every time I would watch it, my mom told me about how my grandma had Alzheimer's with Dory as an analogy, my grandma passed 2 days ago, I'll also keep my grandma in my thoughts with this film🖤
im so sorry for your loss! i hope you stay safe!
The sharks were going to be voiced by American voice actors doing Australian accents at first. I'm very glad they came to their senses...
you ever just not watch a movie for like a decade then start sobbing when you realise you relate so heavily to it
The moment you realize Dumbledore was as old as a sea turtle.
Yes to a Toy Story commentary series. Also, I think you would love The Parent Trap
YES TO A PARENT TRAP COMMENTARY
I was pregnant with my first child when this came out. It’s got the best jokes I will never get tired of watching it. Every so often my two daughters and I pile into my bed and rewatch with running commentary
25:46 If you ever visit the Pixar Studios, they have statues of the "MINE" seagulls on top of some of the buildings.
I love how Buzz Light-year is in the Dentist Office when we see it the first time,
10:13 This line from Dory, "It runs in my family... Well, at least I think it does. ... hmm, where ARE they...?" Could have been a throwaway joke about her memory loss, but in reality it was a genius setup for Finding Dory where she actually DOES find her family. On that note, the titles of the movies mean more than what they are at face-value.
Finding Nemo is not just about Marlin getting help from tons of ocean creatures to find his son, it's also about Nemo finding his "family," including figuring out what family means to him. That's why he has more than just his dad at the end, he also has Dory, his friends from school, and his buddies from the dentist's office.
Finding Dory isn't just about Nemo and Marlin searching for Dory when she's captured, it's also about Dory being reunited with her family, running into old friends from her past and making new ones along the way. In the end, she ends up with an even bigger family than she knew she had.
When Nemo says, "Dad, I don't hate you" 😭😭😭🤧
I was today years old when I found out Gil was voiced by William Dafoe. Now he's all I hear lol
And Nigel the pelican is voiced by Captain Barbossa!
The first Pixar movie I can quote all the dang time!
14:20 We just call him William DaFoe fish, because that's funnier than Gil. He was a source of some...weird awakenings when this came out lol
It's the husky voice, isn't it?
Geoffrey Rush plays the pelican who keeps flying into the dentist window.
(surprised Mary didn't highlite a fellow Aussie here 😅)
He plays Barbossa in Pirates of the Caribbean among other roles like speech therapist Lionel Logue in The Kings Speech.
A 10/ 10 classic
The fish that killed Coral and all of Nemo’s siblings is a Barracuda.
One of the best voice performances in any animated films is Willem Dafoe as Gill. That man can do anything in addition to play my favorite childhood villain
The reunion scene between father and son always touches my heart 💜
Fun Fact: Bruce is named after the iconic mechanic Great White Shark in Jaws 1975. Another of my favorite Blockbusters masterpiece!
5:23 missed opportunity to make a Heart reference. 'Ohh, barracuda' you know, like the song
In the french version he says « You wil now be known as Brother Sushi » brother for the cult thing sushi for the fish. I think it’s funnier 😂 (maybe because it’s my native language idk)
This film holds a special place in my heart. The fact the movie came out the year I was born. 2003. March 22 2003
Clownfish are able to change sex when there's only males left in a group- the dominant male becomes female so they can lay new eggs. Think about that next time you watch this movie...
That scary fish in the trench is an Angler fish, they’re very rare for humans to catch because they’re normally really deep. But they are really cool
This movie is so good especially the songs in the movie
that edit at 9:21 really caught me off guard lol
Ange: I didn't know what a conscience was when I was a kid.
Clearly you started in the wrong place. Should have started with Pinocchio 😀 Can't wait to see what you make of Finding Dory.
This movie is amazing, every time I see it I notice other cool little details. I was lucky enough to be able to dive in some beautiful seas. Unfortunately, due to an accident, I can't enjoy it anymore. By the way, you should know that it is obviously forbidden to catch a fish during a dive, we have to be extremely careful with the environment, not to damage anything, especially the corals with our fins.
What is a pity about this movie is that although the message is of course to leave nature alone, is against the forbidden fishing and overfishing like we can see in the climax. People have become such fans of these fish that many families have bought some to put in their aquariums... While this is the exact OPPOSITE of what Finding Nemo wanted to convey ! >
This movie is such a roller coaster and indeed underrated. So many scary parts as a kid, and understanding different lessons watching as kid and adult. xD
Also Dory best girl.
BRUCE GAVE ME A JUMPSCARE!! I thought this was a Pixar Film!!! xD
So the moment with the fish swimming down is based on a real event where some fish actually capsized a boat by all swimming down. And you should find the Finding Nemo Musical somewhere on RUclips. It's really charming.
That’s why I love re-watching kids movies as an adult. To revisit my childhood and pick up any jokes that flown over my head is a kid.
Fun fact: Bruce the shark is a direct nod to the movie Jaws as the mechanical shark in the movie was named Bruce.
5:20 Disturbing fact: if the would have been in real life….Marlin would go from the dominant male in the family to become the dominant female…and Nemo as the juvenile would grow to be the dominant male. 😐
And male angler fish mate by getting Stuck in the skin of the female and fuse with here, fish are weird
This is one of my favorites movies, the soundtrack is a masterpiece
The fish that killed Coral at the opening was a barracuda.
Saw this with my sister's a week after it was released in theaters and we cracked up laughing!
4:45 In real life it can be up to a thousand eggs. 400 is a very middle of the road figure.
16:40 Some species can grow to human size or slightly larger. Anglerfish are creepy AF.
17:35 Andrew Stanton, Bob Peterson and David Reynolds wrote the script, which was nominated for best original screenplay.
BTW, have you seen Don't Hug Me I'm Scared yet?
32:09 the look on your face is SO priceless!!!
🤣🤣🤣
i saw this for my birthday when i was a kid and the shark eating the babies in the beginning scared me so much i sat on my moms lap the whole movie. one of my fave pixar movies
May I recommend watching “Luca?”🤞🏽😁
Long time viewer here. I watched this vid with my nieces because they love finding nemo and I follow you so I introduced them to your vids. Now they keep asking "can we watch more ANGEY (soft g) videos?" glad you are making impressions on the next generation. We all love your vids so keep it up and know you are making kids happy :)
21:56 I laughed way too hard 💀
DORY!!! THATS A JELLYFISH!!!
SO DID I!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭😭
@@bubbacheezit1777 Bad Squishy! BAD SQUISHY!!!! 😡😡😡😡
Wow! My favorite movie ever. This brought back memories. First time I watched it in the theatre, I was expecting to be surrounded by kids, but it was packed with adults!
Marlin didn’t cross the ocean, just the distance of the Great Barrier Reef to Sydney. Which is still a long way, especially for a little fish.
The opening of the movie scared me a little bit when when Coral was killed along with the fish eggs, and also Nemo getting Taken by Divers how do I know all this because I've been watching Finding Nemo ever since I was a Child.
Gil: You know, I’m something of a fish myself.
This is my favorite movie of all time.
One fact I learned about clown fish is that they can switch their gender. Then it took Gill and the rest of them about 1 year to get from Australia to California while stuck inside their bags which wouldn’t be possible for one major reason. There wasn’t any food inside the baggies so they would’ve starved.
The fish in the fishing grounds swimming down and snapping the pulley system is based on a true event. That actually happened.
the theory is that Marlin hallucinated the whole thing because of the devastation that he witnessed
i could not tell how many times i watched this movie in my childhood ,i’ve cried more now than back then
1:14 that literally scared me cause my volume was so high lmao
I love Disney & Pixar's Finding Nemo (2003).
love the way crush found Marlin and dory. remember that sea turtles eat jellyfish and they saw them when they started eating the jelly's. thats how I think crush found them.
4:44 well Angelina this species of clownfish from finding Nemo is the ocellaris clownfish and they lay between 100-1500 eggs, so coral laid 400 which is like medium ish of the maximum of 1500
I honestly never noticed the detail of their scales. I always saw them as flat and it was just assumed they had scales because it's an animation.
Pixar is the pioneer of doing family movies rather than kids movies, making them with the intention that the entire family could watch the same movie and all be able to find something to enjoy in it, the mold everyone now tries to follow (but still no one does it as good as Pixar)
I don't think they even make the kind of movies we see from the '80s-'90s where it's pure kids' movies that any adult without nostalgia would struggle to enjoy bcs often they didn't bother developing parts of the story kids wouldn't pick up on. Everything didn't even need to make sense bcs it was just for kids who totally see past such things (take leaps in logic like nothing) if they even noticed
I always have to listen out for John ratzenberger voice if you didn't know he plays in a lot of pixar films
You earned a new sub, I lovee the edits and your reaction/commentary is the funniest I have seen in a while!
You should definitely do a toy story watch through, the fourth one is genuinely pretty good
I absolutely loved this commentary, so much fun 😀
She cut it but my absolute favorite Dory line in this movie is when she realizes who Nemo is and goes
*gasp* _your FATHER_
Great reactionions to this Pixar classic, Ang!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Congratulations on your new work are, it looks great! Pixar is great at telling two stories simultaneously, one for children to follow and one for adults. I'm sure they named the shark Bruce as a nod to the animatronic shark in "Jaws".
28:10 guy with glasses, a frown, and side hair shaking his head. 😆 I literally shook my head like that cat gif. Awesome video though! Learned a lot from this movie though this reaction. 🤩
"The starfish came from eBay?"
You'd be surprised what you could buy online, actually. That includes exotic sea creatures. I'm more surprised Bloat came from a regular fish mart. Pufferfishes are usually to rare to be sold in typical stores. I can see Gurgle being sold in a usual pet store tho. I've seen fish like him in Petcos.
You should watch Disney's "Hunchback Of Notre Dame"!
“This is the most artistic school of fish I’ve ever seen in my life.” You could even say that they’re an art school. I’ll see myself out.
Too much excitement from that fish 🤣🤣🤣🤣 18:47
Always look forward to your videos. I think you should watch Knives Out if you haven't already!
I love how the aquarium fish are all crazy on their own way
This movie taught me to hate Dentists and Little Girls all over the world :)
Gurgle the germaphobic fish is voiced by Austin Pebbleton who played Max in The Muppet Movie. In fact, the guys of Pixar attempted to get Pebbleton to be a voice in their movies ever since Toy Story but it wasn't until Finding Nemo they managed to get him.
Re-watching it years later and identifying every fish/invert species I can after learning about tons of them is so fun.
6:00 when my friend asks how many brain cells I have
Nigel is voiced by Geoffrey Rush, who plays Captain Hector Barbossa in The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise (this movie and The Curse of the black Pearl were released the same year).
Absolutely loved your reaction as always!! ❤when they are riding the eastern current I swear everytime I say they should make a rollercoaster out of that 😃 definitely can't wait for you to watch Finding Dory. but yes I think you should react to the toy story movies 😊😊
I love the fact that you do animated children's movies. I still have two daughters that are relatively Young and I can't tell you how much I enjoy we gained out of these types of movies. They touched the heart of even adults. You do a great job and I appreciate your efforts
NGL i thought your pc fell off your table fr and my heart skipped a beat as if i dropped my phone. SOUL SHATTERING!!!
love your content as always!
Crush is voiced by director Andrew Stanton and Squirt is voiced by The Incredibles 1 and 2 and Ratatouille director Brad Bird's son Nick (who also voiced The Tricycle Boy in The Incredibles). Fun fact: Crush and Squirt are American sodas.
MY WHOLE LIFE WATCHING NEMO I NEVER KNEW THE GREEN GOBLIN WAS GILS VOICE ACTOR?! AHHHHHHHH!!!!
Gill is something of a fish himself
i love your reaction videos 🥰
That backround music during your conclusion 👌
Okay so this is my first video I've ever seen of yours and WHAT ARE THE ODDS 🤣 Nemo has and will always be my favorite film of all time!! And this Video was released on MY BDAYYY?!
you are my absolute favorite RUclipsr 🥰
Pixar is notorious for dropping little Easter eggs in their movies
love your new set up ^_^
Oh so when you saw that boy made a face at the dentist through the fish, it was actually a dirty joke when he thought the dentist was doing something inappropriate to darla.
Angelina is one of my favourite comentators on RUclips ❤
I swear I don't stop smiling when I watch these commentaries!!!
Bruce is voiced by later Barry Humphries who was known for playing Dame Edna Everage and Sir Les Patterson on Australian TV and nearly a decade later he voiced and motion captured The Great Goblin for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
Chum is voiced by Bruce Spence, most famous for playing the Gyrocopter Pilot in Mad Max 2 and 3 as well as playing The Mouth of Sauron in the extended edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and Tion Medon in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
To prevent kids from releasing their clownfish by flushing them down the toilet, an informacial were made to broadcast on TV of what happens to fish going through the water treatment plant (even saying that the movie should have been called Grinding Nemo).
A deleted scene would show Nemo going through the Water Plant and manages to bypass the grinder and through the water filter, but it was cut as it wasn't much difference from the earlier scene when he went through the water filter, so it was redundant.
You ever see that episode in That 70’s Show where Eric Forman was speaking whale? Just imagine if Angelina ever spoke whale and Red Forman just walked in all of a sudden and said, “What the hell are you doing to yourself?”
