    thats actually kinda a sign of respect, what charles said about dennis. the way rodman played the game. fact that this is most of what you can show about charles and dennis show that it wasn't mean spirited, both guys were fine with it and knew where they stood with each other. and I also think dennis totally baited charles. he knew he was gonna get hit and was just fine with allowing charles his elbow, just to get him in trouble. :))
    I'll tell you, I did play basketball. And its as much a psychological game as it is a physical game. When you find that thing to get into your opponent head... you never ever let it go. But there's a trick to it. Don't push it too far, or it will break. There's a real art to it.

    Rodman seems to love this sh-t. I am old enough to have watched Wilt Chamberlain play, real time, from about the middle of his career on. I can't help but wonder that if Rodman could have been playing against Wilt, in that era, what might have happened, Wilt being famous for not putting up with much BS like this. Many NBA players say that Rodman is a good hearted and charitable person, off the court.

    • @russs7574

      If you're old enough to have seen Wilt play "live," do you remember how much fun it was when the Sixers played the Celtics (my team growing up)? Chamberlain and Russell would stage a 48-minute street brawl.

    • @wmden1
      @wmden1 2 года назад

      @@russs7574 I started watching NBA around 1964, or 65, if I remember correctly. Wilt had started bulking up and was considerably heavier than his earliest days, as shown on some of these videos. What you are asking about didn't really stick in my mind, but yes, they were competitive, until Russel got 4 or 5 fouls against him. What mainly hung with me was Wilt dunking in a crowd of defenders, and taking smaller players, trying to hold him, up with him. Rebounding over people, without blocking out, or touching anybody, and both center's making some fantastic blocks, height wise. I also remember Havlicec continuously running to be where he needed to be on the court. It was like he never stopped. I think he had the same endurance as Wilt, or close, anyway.
