  • Charles Barkley grabbed the dynamic duo Gary and Kemp like they were his little kids. Barkley always had his teammates back. Kemp had his hand around Barkley neck so Barkley gave him a little smack. Suns and the SuperSonics were both very good teams

If you havent played bball, or any other team sport for that matter, you cant possibly understand how much more difficult it is to operate efficiently with this level of physicality, this openly confrontational climate between players. You feel electricity running through your whole body, tension clouding your judgement. And its also extremely more demanding stamina wise for you are charged all throughout the game. You remember it if you watched it live, you feel it when you watch it today, a whole generation later. And it is for this particular reason, that not only those games and those players, remain so popular and memorable today, but they are more interesting to watch than the current NBA. No free rebounds, no free lay ups, no switching on defense, no easy breezy 3s. This was WAR!

One thing is fighting and another thing is playing basketball. Yes basketball was more physical but the Bulls had by far the best team in the 90s.
