*Dark Jazz, not "experimental" because there is no presence of non-jazz instruments or techniques. BADBADNOTGOOD follows traditional jazz standards, if anything their compositions are new but they are not EXPERIMENTAL.
@@triskut i would say anything new is experimental. you would have to prove to me there is a framework that considers something, "experimental" for me to agree that anything outside of that framework is not experimental. The basslines carry alot of funk, and I think any genre bending can be considered experimental, while I agree its no Sun Ra it also definitely deviates from your traditional jazz group, especially by today's standards.

Really impressed by Charlotte's voice. Such a pleasant surprise to hear that the warm, deep quality of her voice wasn't just production magic on the record
The bass is mixed so well! Stunning visuals and sounds. IV is definitely ground brealing for BBNG in terms of experimentation, musicians, sounds and feel.
Dear CBC Music, I want to thank you guys so much for helping me to discover this truly inspiring group!!BADBADNOTGOOD is now the most recent influence on the direction of my musical journey- and I have not only them to thank, but YOU as well!
Wow. Best. Comment. Ever. from our POV. Great to hear re: BBNG. We expect their sphere of influence to be pretty sizeable over their careers. Thanks for the kinds words and thanks for watching.
dcrosner15 Sorry to be that guy but, in some ways they already have. They've played quite a few big festivals n collaborate with hip hop artists to make beats for them. They did a whole album with Ghostface killah, of wu-tang fame.
Well, I mean the current industry. Wu - Tang made some amazing records and the group had originality. Now, pretty much everything is garbage: Justin Bieber Taylor Swift Drake etc.
In this age, when virus and desperation is pouring the mankind, you are a good breeze of hope. Thank you for your good music, the great feeling you inspire!
In your eyes is so beautiful I had to learn the bass parts... took me 2 months and it is still not perfect! I can't believe that these guys are composing this incredible music at such a young age...
miles davis vibes for miles ... finding my way back to jazz ... the only music that seems to completely capture the full array of the mystery that life is.
This is such an awesome live performance 😩🔥! The music itself, the passion behind it & the freakin visuals!!! No jewelry, fancy clothes or any of that other mumbo-jumbo crap! Just bare talent & creativity!
I am in LOVE with Ms. Charlotte Day Wilson and her voice. What an incredible performance. This might be the first band I've ever shown my mom that she's ended up really really enjoying.
this is just a very poor imitation of what already happened in the 70s. There's nothing new about this and they don't even play their instruments very well
I just discovered CBC music channel and with it BADBADNOTGOOD . Thanks for sharing what I think is an amazing band, full of talent, I hope to see more of them and more good music from Canada.
Chicos que Buena ejecucion de los instrumentos , composicion, Buena produccion audiovisual, realmente calidad musical de las pocas que estamos viendo en este siglo. Un abrazo enorme desde perû @PE
playing experimental jazz with the homies in a warehouse during the sunset is a dream i didn't know i had

Stunning visuals and sounds.

Thank you and thanks for watching!
I feel this band is bass driven, like Elephant Gym... but BBNG is smoother with less of the instrument athletics that can overwhelm the songs.

I hope they make it big. They're far more musically skilled than 99.9% of the music industry today. At least CBC gives them a platform.

lol
One of the most under rated band of the modern age...
bing rijper really not that underrated
Patrick Harmon underrated may not be the best word to describe them but they're largely unheard of outside of hiphop & jazz circles
Do I know you?
They sound like most 70s funk experimental bands, nothing new whatsoever but good and nice to hear that sound again in modern times.
can you please suggest some?
