He is the same age as my grandson and resembles him a bit . I worry about him all the time . He is frail looking as well but has never had a bad dx . God bless this young man and family too .

Oh Annie!! How freaking scary. Poor Andrew!! A low hemoglobin can make you feel crappy (I'd know, mine got down to 6 once). Hope his belly tolerated the oral iron, if that's what they gave him. Feel better, Andrew!!

Same happened to me. I was really ill once and I passed out, I never went to hospital I just climbed in bed and fell asleep. A few months later I was having blood tests (regular) and I was told I had an iron deficiency and anaemia, doctors told me I might pass out if I didn't eat food.

Poor little guy ! Speaking as someone who has been anemic off and on all my life it’s an uncomfortable feeling to say the least! You feel really weak and shaky, everything thing goes black when you stand up, and worst of all you feel like your face is sliding down ! It’s really scary! You really handled it well Andrew. Mom and Dad you both did very well yourselves ! You’ll need to have iron for a while and it tastes AWFUL lol but it will make you well. I’m so happy everything turned out so well for all of you.

I was feeling very tired for several months. Finally went to my family doc...doctor... had my blood (hemoglobin) tested. I was a 3 (extremely low) which was causing tachycardia. It was a Friday and we had to wait until Monday to start iron infusions. I had 12 over a 2 week period. Never found out why. I take daily iron now. Andrew probably didn't even know how bad and tired he was feeling. I'm praying for him and you all.

Hey..I used to fainted and passed out like 2 times so I didn’t go hospital after I pass out now I’m getting stronger
I know someone that use to faint and pass out like 2 times.
oh andrew i feel for you buddy. im also anemic and had to have iron infusions! now i also take iron supplements daily. i have heart palpitations and tachycardia related to the anemia! feel better soon!

@@stowedstuff I had them three times, two weeks apart each. Now my levels are monitored and if it dips again, we restart infusions
@@jennmuix91 so glad it’s under control. This kid’s heart rate was through the roof and was scaring the crap out of me!
@@stowedstuff I can totally relate. I freaked out in the ambulance when they had to call for ALS to follow the ambulance because my heart rate was so high, they thought I was going to crash 😭 hopefully the iron helps Andrew tremendously

Was he playing sports or outside in the heat? He could be dehydrated, low in potassium and anemic? Gotta check it out, but if that’s all, probably going home tomorrow, it could be diet, not enough protein?

@@stowedstuff i am from Maryland and I am disabled with hydrocephalus and seizures I have a shunt with water on my brain I have had alot of surgeries on my head too

Tachycardia SUCKS especially when you get a cardioversion I've had SVT which means supraventricular tachycardia google SVT and what it is and how it makes you feel
The pits. Sorry you have to deal with this.
But a cardioversion makes it better and it goes away in just a half second I had an episode of SVT one day with a pulse of 285. They did a cardioversion and my heart converted back to normal sinus rhythm and my pulse was 75 sinus rhythm

Imagine being in the ER for 18 days waiting for a psych bed… and without your own clothes, with no electronics, no TV, no cell, no tablet, no computer, no phone, not even the hospital phone, no books, no writing/coloring stuff, no fidget toys, and very little contact with even the hospital staff, and seeing people come through with heart attacks, seizures, gunshots, death, and more… I hate when people complain about being in the ER all day or all night.l.

Caffeine blocks iron absorption. If he's anemic you should really limit his caffeine.
