Omg I just tried this advice today 10/24, I changed my battery and after that the ac was blowing hot air only, but I turned the headlights on, then the fog lights, started the car, put ac on max a/c and it started to blow cold air, thank you so much I thought I’d have to go to a mechanic shop, I just hope it stays like that and it doesn’t go hot air only again 😅
Reprogrammed the module, got module replaced, when I command the AC switch to stay on with my scan tool the AC stays on, disconnect scanner and the AC still shuts on and off, any idea what could be the issue,
I have one like this and it was the command wire from the HVAC control head to the instrument panel cluster it had rubbed in the dash it would send power to the instrument panel cluster and then it should tell the PCM to turn on the clutch but that main power wire going from the HVAC control head to the cluster even though it had 12 volts on it it would not even light up a test light so I had to repin and run a new signal wire from the HVAC control head to the IPC I don't know if that's your problem but that could be
Have a question have a 2011 Ford fusion yesterday when I put the my car on and turned on AC it would blow cold for a minute then switch to hot if I put the headlights on and fog lights on then turn the car on the AC will stay cold. Once I turn the light off, it will go to warm, have you seen this issue and what is it typically
Any more recent experiences with this? Bought a 2010 fusion. A/C worked ice cold. Battery died and after charging, the a/c works when starting the engine however, after a minute or so, there is a change in the sound of air and it starts blowing warm air. Turning it all the way to heat does not change the temp, it’s almost as if it’s stuck in the middle between hot and cold. While it is blowing this lukewarm air, I can see and hear the compressor engaging so I don’t believe it’s the compressor. Freon levels are good as well. Not sure if it’s the dreaded evaporator sensor or if it just needs the climate control module updated. Thanks for your time!
When the car blowing cold air unplug the actuators.....their is also a hack for the temperature sensor under the dashboard.... I did it and mine blows ice cold... They should be a other actuator under the passenger dash that need unplug....and you should be set... Don't buy parts just do the trick....
Hey, thanks for the great info. Can this only be done at the dealership? Is it a permanent fix (for now, I’ve just been turning on the headlights and fog lights to get AC working). How can I convince my dealer to just do the reprogram instead of a bunch of other diagnostic stuff?
To do the reprogramming you have to have a factory scan tool and you could just go in there and say hey can you just reprogram HVAC module and they'll do it
Now it's not guaranteed to work every single time but so far it has worked for me other people say that they just replace the blend door actuator and that works for them
@@drewmyrtle15 my question can you give an idea of how much it cost in a dealer and other mechanics just get an idea and to make sure ther not just to over charge plz thank you
@@luvpixie1 Yes I’m taking my Ford to the dealership soon and I’m not sure what is a good cost to fix it. This happened to my AC after the changed the battery. Thank you very much for this video you saved my life!
""Looking for Assistance"" I have Ford Fusion 2011 Gcc AND AC is giving big trouble. If I parked my car in basement the ac will not work if turn on the car engine. 01 ) I have repalced the Compressor 02 ) I have replaced two relays in front fuse box which was purchased from Ford warehouse 03) Technician checked all the wiring. 04) I have changed two temperature sensor, one under the hood and second inside the Dash board. @@FordBossMe Do they need a computer or do they have a computer that will tell them to reprogram the module? I think I want this done first because I'm convinced the battery change has something to do with this.
@@Love4juliaT8 my car has automatic headlamps, so what I’ve done is put tape over the sensor in the dash and left the headlights in the auto position so they turn in with the key and that has kept my a/c going. Seems to do the same thing as the turn the headlights on before starting the car trick.
Cant believe the solution for me was the usual solution on Fusion forum: -put headlights on manual, pull fog light switch, start car, start a/c.
Yeah I'm not familiar with that, sometimes the forum stuff is spot on and sometimes it's terrible advice
I do what I know works

No idea what that is, sounds like some kind of short

Sounds to me like it just needs a climate control module updated or something basic this happens a lot with battery changes
Thanks for your reply!
I’ll see if I can update with… (FJDS?) fingers crossed. The car is my beater so my mustang won’t have to see snow!

Is there a way the customer can reprogram it or we have to take it somewhere?
Take it somewhere like a dealer

The answer to this is don't buy late model, over-priced crap.
This did absolutely nothing for me. I have my launch x431 pro3 hooked up to this 2009 Fusion and it’s telling me the “HVAC module is not responding.”
Then you need to check fuses and if all is good may need a fcim face
