In 2010 I had 3x1680x1050. Then I went to 3x2560x1440 in 2014. In 2017 added a 3440x1440 for games that were hard on the gpu. Got rid of the multi monitor last year for a g9 Oled 5120x1440. 3440x1440 is not wide enough for me. I am 60 and want to see a 5120x2160 full DP 240/360 hz Oled, glossy with a 40-45 inch screen.
That Dream oled is about 1 year off theough we will have to see if it hits 240Hz i saw some early panel reports that the first gen 5120x2160 45" oled may be 165Hz
"I get no respect," says 8k. jj but I'm looking at what you're doing as I want more resolution than 4k. The 8k tvs are a bit too much but I might splurge. I'm looking at the ultrawides but I thought I heard some games are not compatible, do all games work for you?
Nothing to do with this video, but I thought you might have the answer, or could make a video on it. I recently got an AW3423DWF, and for some reason, when I watch full screen YT videos, the vertical bars on the side of the video aren't black. They're grey or some dark color from somewhere in the video. Some are black though, like all of your videos.
That is odd that the vertical bars are different colors as those would not be baked in to the video like horizontal bars maybe. I would have to do some research to see what the true cause is but my guess would be the video container used for the video before it was uploaded to youtube.
@@ultrawidetechchannel It was ambient mode in youtube's player. I guess some uploaders have it enabled on their videos by default and some don't. Didn't know it was a thing because this is my first ultrawide and it's not really visible for standard monitors. Thanks for replying though!
Would a a770 be fine for 3440x1440p i will be playing mostly cpu intensive games like minecraft, roblox and rust and im fine with lowering some settings.
My guy, your graphs are unnecessarily hard to read. Maybe consider using colors that aren't grey and "slightly less grey"?
oled g9 user here, love your videos. Please keep up the good work 💙
Thanks
the 3440x1440 should be covered by a two tier upgrade then?
Yes you can check this video out that covers off that resolution change. ruclips.net/video/pqLKyyf_bfU/видео.html
Please please do a test with a 57" Samsung G9 @7680x2160.
I would love to if I could some how get one lent to me.
Very informative. I had a feeling the performance difference was not a 1:1 ratio.

@@ultrawidetechchannel I will be ok with that. It will take a 7090 to hit 165 fps on newer games anyway at that res.

If those are the games your going to be playing then I don't for see you having any issues, just don't expect too much from AAA games.
Yeah I'm not into triple a games anyways
Can we get an updated version with 3440x1440p vs 5120x2160? Keep it up the good work!
Can you make a vid on about super ultrawide 1080p monitors and the performance cost or if they are even worth it?
Currently on a 3440x1440 monitor.
Please also include GTA V in future tests. The game is still so outrageously popular.
I just check and I actually do own the game on the Epic store so you may see it show up in future wide comparisons like this.
