There's always a sense of 'what do you do now' when you've been too busy and suddenly have a little more time and freedom but we can't always move at a helter skelter pace without impacting either our physical or psychological health or both. I love watching your life in Thailand- makes me feel closer to him as he too loves the simpler lifestyle and slow pace. You have a lot to feel blessed about - The beautiful Shire and a lovely family. Damo is the perfect calm to your sometimes storm. I find counting your blessings and for us (my son and myself) we feed into our Christian faith daily to conquer fear, anxiety and depression- which everyone has to a degree. It sucks losing that blissful grateful smooth mindset. Whenever I get it back it seems so simple and obvious and I’m certain I will not lose it. But then little things start to chip away at it and the next thing you know it’s gone. Kind of like you said, just accept that this will happen and that mindset may not be permanent. Appreciate the contrast and smile. I spent a lot of time, travel and experiences looking for it, under every rock. That never worked. It can’t be found. It’s all in our head. I think I think the ego is the culprit to losing it.
Hi Ryan, just continue being you! I love everything that you do because you always tell it as it is. I always say that worry and I guess fear too are wasted emotions as it doesn't acheive anything to worry and do nothing about your worries. Fear perhaps is sligfhtly different as without it we would be oblivious of danger which could be harmful, but fear for fears sake i.e. irational fear, can be a stumbling block for growth. My Primary School, 64 yeqrs ago now since I left, had the Latin motto "Non progrede est regrade" which, loosely translated means if you are not going forward, you are going backwards. I gfuess through the years this has stood me in good stead and even now, retired with more life behind me than in front of me, (unless I live until I am 151!) I still look forwards, and have no fear of dying. having a faith has helped throughout my life and no matter what we beleive if we hang onto our faith in that beleif we will always pull through. Yeah I echo the positive comments that we appreciate your insightful knowledge on life. You say what direction to take the channel my two pennies worth is that you are a good tutor/ speaker so continue that vein by helping others with their thoughts and decision making processes. Looking good brother! Sit back and relax for a few weeks before tackling a new task - you all deserve it. Some things to ponder; build some outdoor climbing structures for the kids; Visit some local temples and gain wisdom through discussion and interaction with the monks; Write a book on adapting to local living in rural Thailand as a Farang; Extend a new room in the 'attic' above the cottage; Organise a rural visit with the kids of the village to somewhere they've never been; get Damo to cook some regional Thai dishes on camera, showing the diversity of the local region. Just thoughts mate.

Making crafts...small building
It always cracks me up when people call a yard the garden. In the States what we call a garden is where you grow all of your vegetables. Why aren't you growing more vegetables? A few tomatoes is not much. I assume you probably go to the market everyday like they do in Bali. The problem in Bali is the temperatures near the Ocean don't cool down enough so It's only good for chili's, corn, Amaranth which they call Bayam or spinach and bananas. All the nice vegetables are grown high up in the hills where the weather is cooler. So tell us why you don't grow more veggies.
What about Damo's sisters plot of land? Is she going to build on it, any grand plans for her, maybe you can film the whole process again when your project manager for her. (no way your thinking)

I thought you had more greenhouses & gardens to plant? You made a video recently stating that you need 3-5 times more produce than current. Don't become too complacent though, destiny has a way of throwing things into our lives just when we think we have time to relax. Good luck.

Ryan , I’m currently living in my wife’s village in Sukhothai area , the family have extensive property , rice fields , harvesters , ect , but Thais have a different way , I’m a bit OCD. , everything has a place , and things need to be neat and tidy , not so with my wife’s family , so I get a little frustrated , anyway that’s my rant
Certainly been there my friend and covered in early vlogs, i found going their way is best! haha but making your own separate space with fences that they do not visit is very important, my wifes families are very respectful of boundaries so im lucky.
Give me the ugly truth rather than a pretty lie and I'll give you respect.

I think I know exactly how you feel bro... stuck between a rock and a hard place. People who know how the world works can never find happiness. It's like asking someone to be happy with a lie that causes unending pain and suffering, no sane man with a kind heart could ever be at ease knowing the fate of the walking dead.
The universe and life will not last forever. The prevailing theory is that the universe will cool as it expands, eventually becoming too cold to sustain life.
Ryan you have such a beautiful family and I love your never ending introspection of life. Whether you believe in it or not you should spend more time in the Bible, there are a lot answers and wisdom in that book, just a suggestion. Best wishes

The plants looks great! Your tent is a difficult thing to keep. Greta job! Hopefully the clones root well. Of course I have recommendations you choose to follow or not. I would keep taking clones off the current mother plants, and keep them (one of each type) as mothers, and flower the clones instead, after keeping them in 18/6 for a while. (experiment with how long). If you have more than one of a strain then flower the big plant too. Start a “sea of green” where you harvest in waves. Give away extra plants to friends, and get good at this process. A great foundation to build from
Those -pants in tent look great so don’t change what are doing just keep doing the same and use the success to become an expert at this part.

I lived on Koh Phangan in the 80's for 2 and a half years.
None of us hippies, in those days there, ever thought for a moment of buying land, it was just, never a thought. Never. We all just lived there. 30 pounds a month rent, no solar then, we had an old car battery we used for music. It worked ! Everyone seems now to want a better life style, more gadgets, etc. We had no gadgets etc, but then of course there were none then to want at that time !! I do miss those times.

Hi Ryan it’s been all go with you for some time it’s good in one respect you and Demo can relax a bit and enjoy it’s new pastures now and I’d say keep it real people will never get bored off real I’d be very happy to hear more on psychology and a way out off anxiety and depression as I have suffered with it for years and have really struggled to function some days it’s wasted many years off my life thanks friend for all your videos they have been very helpful and like a escape route for me on my bad days

Have mentioned before regarding our individual book and path of life = good and bad times along with every possible emotion and thoughts, one has to be oneself rather than being what others want us to be , very hard to say if it doesn’t matter in five years then why worry now , if you’re a person that worries hard to have that mindset, easy thing just except who you are, if you worry about things ok, if you don’t ok, we are who we are simple as that , even Buddha probably had worries at times, more important what song should we have for today , always worrying to make sure you have the perfect playlist, song = A Kind Of Magic = Queen.

1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for us”. Just throw it on him, and let him carry your burdens. Jesus said we could cast all of our cares on him because he cares for us! There is nothing we are going through that we cannot cast on the Lord.
Being 'done' has one big advantage: less money to spend (and earn) now ;-)

In Joshua 1:1-9, God commands Joshua to take over for Moses in leading the Israelites. Three times in that short passage, God tells Joshua to “be strong and courageous, for I am with you.” People who suffer from phobias can take that to heart. If courage came naturally to Joshua, God would not have had to remind him three times to fear not. Apparently, Joshua was experiencing some overwhelming fears of his own and felt inadequate to the task before him. God did not scold him; God empowered him. And He will do the same for any of His children who are overcome with phobias, because the God who strengthened Joshua is the God who will strengthen us.
