I love my iPhone Pro Max 13, its been the best iPhone that I have ever owned. I thought at first the added screen size would be troublesome and wouldn’t be worth it but I was very much wrong. The camera is good enough that I could not longer justify owning a mirror less camera on top of the phone, so I sold my mirror less camera and have not been missing it at all. Also the added screen real estate is great for playing games and watching content on the go. The battery life is the best I have experienced on a phone. I feel the phone is a whole new experience when using an iPhone that if you have a 12 you would be better to get the pro or pro max.
I'm upgrading from an A02S to the 13 pro max and my friend told me that it's like playing the NES for your whole life and then playing on a ps5 for the first time.
Totally agree on the swiping on the right side to go back! I also think Android notifications are neater than iOS where each notification gets a bubble which clutters up the screen vs Android where those are grouped in a single bubble. And I really like the whimsy of Android 12 over iOS 15s... dry UI. (I have both a Pixel 5 and an iPhone 12 Pro - not exactly parallel to what you reviewed but I limited the comments to what is applicable universally)

@@mopnem I have tried that, and the amount of bugs, stutters and bad optimization of the ecosystem made me stay on Apples ecosystem. iOS just works flawlessly between all my devices. Syncs up beautifully. Example: I look at a webpage on my phone, but i need a larger view of it. I simply open my macbook and open safari, and the webpage opens up where i left it on there.
I briefly had the 13 Pro Max, it was an underwhelming experience for me personally. However, I'd so anything to get that battery in my S21 Ultra. It was incredible.

A good size that falls in between the Pro Max and Pro would be 6.4in, which is the same size as the iPhone XS Max (6.46). That's the phone I upgraded from when purchasing a 13, and I had such a hard time choosing between the Pro Max and Pro (first world problems, I know) because increasing by .3in felt like too much, but decreasing by .3 would make the phone feel too small for me. 6.4in is definitely the sweet spot.
Had to skip on the iphone this year, had it for a good week, but decided to swith to the z fold 3, im amazed with the 13 pro max, but it just doesnt deliver anymore from apples side
i envy those who can upgrade their phones every couple of years. I'm still on the Mate 10 Pro from 4 years ago. I'm thinking of getting the Pro Max as a replacement that can hopefully last me another 4-5 years.
Chasing the newest technology is quiet tiring, I just bought 12 pro max last year & now I keep thinking of 13 pro max. But then again, next year there'll be 14 comes out lol
I'm more or less on a two-year-cycle, but I don't buy the phones. They usually come along whenever I'm getting a new new contract from my provider. Ordered my pro max just today, for 50€ once and 55€ per month (for the phone and the contract)... So, not the necessarily the cheapest option, but it's alright for me.
Actually a lot of people myself included, have found that the regular 13 Pro is more uncomfortable to hold because of its size it’s not as wide, and it feels more dense and the weight isn’t as evenly distributed. That and the smaller width of the device makes it feel like it digs into your hand more and the smaller grip like your hand and fingers are closer together than the pro max, it makes your hand tend to cramp up more and quicker. I found the pro max to be more comfortable for daily use and extended periods of time due to the better weight distribution. Plus you can’t beat that larger battery and extra screen real estate. Plus one of the other main reasons I picked the Pro max, is because the screen is larger, I don’t notice the notch nearly as much as I did on my previous 6.1” iPhone, it seems that the screen being larger helps the notch sort of melt away from your mind as you have all that extra screen to look at. Also due to the fact that it’s my only computing device. I don’t own a laptop, a tablet, nothing. So I use my phone for literally everything. TV, RUclips at 2160p, social media, photos and videos, internet browsing in general, music etc. So to make my viewing experience more enjoyable l got the larger display, plus I’m able to get almost 18 hours of screen on time on mine since I always disable background app refresh entirely as well as Siri’s learning abilities that gives me an extra 3 hours of SOT on every iPhone. It’s close to M1 MacBook Pro battery life hours it’s insanity. :) Like to put it into perspective, yesterday I checked after about 6 hours of straight use without turning the display off, and I still had 70% remaining.. I ended the day with 16 hours and had 30% left lol.. it was bananas. Love my 13 Pro Max and don’t think I could ever go to the smaller iPhones again. Then again I always ran the Plus Sized iPhones since the 6 Plus was released with the exception of the X when it came out and the 11. But quickly got rid of both of those phones as I couldn’t stand the smaller display and body and battery.
No I’m getting a refurbished iPhone 11 Pro Max on EBay or Amazon a 256 gb for about £570 & keep my S21 Ultra as my main smartphone phone, but I’m just going to wait until Black Friday weekend for a really good deal, cheers & peace ✌️
The battery life is insane, and so is the screen animation speed on the iPhone 13 promax. I use the iPhone 13 promax and the pixel 6 pro equally. I agree the iPhone 13 promax is a little on the large side, so the regular iPhone 13 pro is a good replacement. As for the camera,it's a slight improvement over the iPhone 12 promax. I don't like the pixel software issues so I still recommend the iPhone 13 pro and promax phones over the s22ultra or pixel 6 pro
Been using android for nearly 10 years before I changed to the 13 pro max to try something new. The battery life is unbelievably good and if you have any other apple products, then making the switch is 💯 worth it.
I have the 12 Pro and I’m still loving the device but I definitely wish I had 120hz…. But Apple really has to give us more on the software side to make me go back to a Max. Mainly split screen support.
Watching this on my 13 pro max, had it for a week now. Amazing phone! First phone I have actually put a screen protector on since many people claim the have gotten scratches extremely easy.
@@93836 Actually, it doesn’t. Surprisingly. Believe me my OCD would have made me rip it off right away if that was the case. Screen protectors have come really far. I remember back in the day when it made you hard press everything on your screen and looked like a bag covering your phone lol

Watching on pixel 6 pro. Sorry but that price for the same boring iOS, notch, bad ergonomics and lightning just no. While extra battery life is great if your phone gets through the day comfortably I can't see this being a massive deal.

Great video Tom, thanks! I personally went for the 13 pro because of the size. I was using the Xs Max and although I got used to the size it still didn’t feel completely comfortable. I am very happy with the size of the 13 pro. As you can probably tell, I have small hands 😁. Even with the move to the smaller size, the better battery life is noticeable

My 12 pro max was very good until the update to 15 , then it went down a bit , but after a good look at the phone settings and a tune up , its back to very good , i get well into the second day before i decide to charge .
Im coming from an XS. Is the 13 pro max a good buy? Or is it better to wait. I had a 6 plus and wanted something smaller so I upgraded to the XS. Now I’m looking for something with more battery which is why im thinking about the max.
I've got a one plus 9 pro and the battery is awful and the most annoying thing. The fast charge does NOT make up for it like I expected. I really want to switch to this JUST for the battery... I will be able to sell the oneplus for a decent chunk at least....
Hi, i'm kinda in the same situation as you with Google vs Apple Apps. After switching to an iPhone 13 Pro Max i trying now to use all apple apps. Still rocking my iPhone 5s, probably will get the SE 2 when it goes down in price. Really not impressed with the repairability the unnecessary excessive features of the 13. I am quite tempted with the new pixel though. Google have made a step in the right direction with repairability (not quite on par with Fairphone). Hopefully it will go down in price. Shame you don’t get 5 years OS upgrades though.
I would much rather get the SE2 myself because I'm on my iPhone 6S plus and I still love it -- and one of the things I love most is the home button. I frequently use my phone as a timer when I cook, and I have to wear gloves. The touch screen won't respond until I stop and take my gloves off -- which is a PITA, because they're vinyl. I'm going to be forced to give up my 6S Plus thanks to stupid T-mobile and Sprint's 5G, though. I'm pretty much dreading it and feeling as if I'm going to be splashing out a lot of money for a phone that won't serve my needs nearly so well. I'm glad for the review, but I'm finding that I just flat don't care about a lot of other stuff that's so hyped. The battery life will be nice. Other than that, I can't see a single thing that I *need* as much as I will need the home button that won't be there anymore. But then, I'm old school. I buy something good and I believe in using it until it falls apart.
All my life I'm using android mobiles from Samsung 4s, but when I see iPhone 13 pro I love the Sierra blue color & the camera, I bought iPhone 13 pro and really it's amazing mobile, all apps working smoothly and I love the video and pictures when I use snap and Instagram

I don't do much of anything for pictures or video so I don't care about the screen size for that reason, but I do a lot of ebook reading. Good to know I'm looking in the right place!
Ordered mine a couple of weeks ago from Apple, due for delivery in a week or so, I went for the 13 Pro rather than the Max, wanted something a little smaller this time as I'm upgrading from the XS Max. I think I should defo see the benefit :)
I’m literally doing the same thing lol!
You should've just bought it in black Friday or cyber monday
When is yours coming? I ordered mine on Halloween and immune says nov-23 /dec-1
Yep definitely
‘Some of you guys watching this on your shiny new iPhone.’
Me with my 6s with no money, HAHA
What case do you have?
Had a XS Max and upgraded to this, the battery lasted 3 years and it may have kept going but I got this as I imagine I’ll get back to travelling again soon and its nice to have a big battery like this one and a great reliable camera
Did the weight of it bother you at first?
@@Princess77789 I wouldn’t say it bothered me but I’ve definitely noticed it. Especially while it’s in the pocket. I also have a watch which I use to call or respond quickly hence why I don’t mind having a bigger phone. Are you thinking of getting it too or already got it?
Got a 13 Pro Max, and its the most substantial upgrade i have ever felt on a phone. Absolutely love it!
By design there is simply no such thing as a “substantial upgrade” in Apple’s world.
@@MarmaladeSally I dont say it just to say it. This phone is the best phone i´ve ever had. Battery is insane, screen color is spot on. The most accurate of all phones on the market. The processor is a beast, cameras are the best out there as well. In nighttime as well. I can keep going, but i guess you get it.
@@mathiaskildedal You may want to use other phones outside apples ecosystem. but yeah, the iphone 13 pro max is a good phone for sure.
Had my iPhone 13 pro max for a few days and love the battery. Lasts over a day and love the camera 👍🏼.
Do you have a Link to the wallpaper ?
I briefly had the 13 Pro Max, it was an underwhelming experience for me personally. However, I'd so anything to get that battery in my S21 Ultra. It was incredible.
I got the sierra blue 512 g version it’s so nice. First iPhone I’ve bought in over a decade willingly. 120 hz and refreshed camera was good enough for me
I agree ! I wasn't a big fan of the sierra blue... so i just went on and got the graphite one. I done a full unboxing video on it yesterday and I'm glad I went with that colour :)
Can you please buy me an iphone 13? I've never owned any iphone before
A good size that falls in between the Pro Max and Pro would be 6.4in, which is the same size as the iPhone XS Max (6.46).
Huge iPhone fan, but I still have an iPhone XS Max that I bought second hand a year after it came out. Hopefully next year will be an actual redesign.
Where did you find the wallpaper you have on the 13 Pro Max?
Had to skip on the iphone this year, had it for a good week, but decided to swith to the z fold 3, im amazed with the 13 pro max, but it just doesnt deliver anymore from apples side
Still on 6+ waiting for notchless and touch id to return. Also I hope they get thinner again compared to the 6+ the latest ones are like a house brick
It may take a couple of years for touch id
lol waiting one 2 things that's probably most likely not gonna be on the iPhone 14...well done
i envy those who can upgrade their phones every couple of years.
@@rainforest8893 not worth the upgrade tbh, only if you’re coming from a few gen back.
im still on my s8 lol...its 5years..screen is cracked...there is a color problem in display as well
What case are you using?
I’ve updated from op7 pro to 13 pro Max
Might as well buy a 13mini at that point
If you have the 12 pro i wouldn't see a reason to upgrade
@@titan9259 even 11 pro but if you have anything under then its 100% worth it
I have the 12 Pro and I’m still loving the device but I definitely wish I had 120hz…. But Apple really has to give us more on the software side to make me go back to a Max. Mainly split screen support.
I had split screen on my huge Huawei 20x but it's just a gimmick, i forgot it existed
@@JohnHeath1612 ummmm no brah it's not a gimmick at all. Us Android users use split-screen every day.
What case are you using here?
What clear case are you using.
No need, my 11 Pro Max is still going strong, sure 120Hz and that battery would be nice but I’ll wait for a redesign with the 14 Pro Max.
If there's 1
How do you feel about changing platforms such as being Google dependant and switching to apple? I've been eyeing the 1T iphone but not sure if I'm ready to make the leap.
Ordered my iphone 13 pro max 29th October receiving it in this month
I'm actually getting the 13 Pro Max in December, excited to be going back to iOS again, definitely is gonna bring me back to my middle school days all over again😁
First day using Android during first released,
Yesterday decided to give iPhone 13 Pro Max a try and that's the best decision ever made.
Watching on pixel 6 pro. Sorry but that price for the same boring iOS, notch, bad ergonomics and lightning just no. While extra battery life is great if your phone gets through the day comfortably I can't see this being a massive deal.
Ok this is the smartest youtube ad i've ever seen. I usually just skip them, as most people do, but this time I couldn't because...I wanted to see what the quality of the camera is! So I was "forced" to watch the ad without actually feeling annoyed. Well done on the idea.
Hey, really love the wallpaper of the iPhone 13 pro max, were did you get it from?
Got my new iphone 13 pro max what recommend percentage to charge a phone they say 40-80 for battery life capacity and also can I use my old 5w brick? Thank you Hope you answer my question.
Still having 11 pro max and I absolutely dont feel like upgrading
My IP 13PM will be delivered tomorrow ….looking forward to using the macro mode
I upgraded from the 12 Pro to the 13 Pro. For me the features and battery life were worth the upgrade. Great video, thanks.
Yeah the battery on the 12 pro max suck to I got the iPhone 13 pro max and 7 days since last full charged
@@Anonymous-mu5bl hi, how do you charge your phone for the first time? is it okay to charge the new phone to a laptop since i havent charger adoptor yet
@@AdorableFamilyFrance I always charge my phone when he gets under 30% like 25 and charge till 87 I never used a laptop sorry
What’s the point?🤷♂️ 12 pro is a killer phone. I don’t get it.
I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max now but have ordered the 13 Pro Max. For some reason my phone bill will be cheaper with the 13. I didn’t understand why but that’s why I’m upgrading. Otherwise, I’ve been perfectly happy with the 11. A little irritated that I can’t get my favorite phone case in the 13 though. Not sure how I will like the phone being thicker from front to back since the 11 is so slim but I’m sure I’ll adjust.
I upgraded from the 12 pro max because of my awful experience with the battery life and health of the 12 pro max. The 13 pro max can easily lasy me 8-10 hrs and since I’m usually at home, I charge it the next day since I’m more of a moderate user. Cameras are great too.
My 12 pro max was very good until the update to 15 , then it went down a bit , but after a good look at the phone settings and a tune up , its back to very good , i get well into the second day before i decide to charge .
What case do you recommend?
Leather case all the way
Great video. What’s the phone case on the iPhone you reviewed.. I was expecting you to talk about it
Is there a link for your wallpaper? Love how it matches the tones for the Sierra Blue color. I would love to have it, thanks 😊
Hey Tom what clear case is that?
Im coming from an XS. Is the 13 pro max a good buy? Or is it better to wait. I had a 6 plus and wanted something smaller so I upgraded to the XS. Now I’m looking for something with more battery which is why im thinking about the max.
My last iphone is the 7 plus.. using android ever since...contemplating to get this one tho or the fold z 3??
where did you get that blue wallpaper on the iphone from?
I've got a one plus 9 pro and the battery is awful and the most annoying thing. The fast charge does NOT make up for it like I expected. I really want to switch to this JUST for the battery... I will be able to sell the oneplus for a decent chunk at least....
Hey Tom! Was wondering were can I get the wallpaper from?
It's one of Canoopsy's
7:46 I actually like the ultra wide and wish the Pixel 6 Pro was just as wide enough.
Hi, i'm kinda in the same situation as you with Google vs Apple Apps. After switching to an iPhone 13 Pro Max i trying now to use all apple apps. But i realize i miss some Google functionality from my years of using android.
For example the google calendar is much better then the apple one. And trying to find a third party equivalent isn't worth the hassle vs just using the Google one.
Do you also use Google Photos instead of apple photos / iCloud ? If yes, how good can it handle livePhoto, ProRes etc? Unfortunately Google Photos doesn't allow offline sync on mac or pc :(
Same here!
7:46 Hey Tom You Know You Can Just Zoom In Like 0.7x And You Will Have The Same Focal Length As The Google Pixel 6 Pro :3
Did you take some of those photos at the Quay in Exeter? I am getting a 13 Pro Max tomorrow in Exeter! I live close by!!
Just ordered mine, I've had my Galaxy note 9 this whole time. I love it and it's never failed me. Been a Samsung guy for a while but I'm deciding to give IPhone a try. My only concern is the lack of multi tasking features on the iPhone, as i use my phone a lot for work purposes.
What do you mean by lack of multi-tasking features?
@@LuvThyMind29 lack of multitasking features
@@Penguino19 Which are...?? Ability to open multiple pages side by side? To play music from your phone while also taking a phone call?
@@LuvThyMind29 apps side by side yes which iphone is unable to do and its what most people use, not mentioning the Spen for people that work with design, photo or video editing. It's in fact much easier to multi-task with a Samsung than with an iPhone

Hi, I have a question. Does iPhone ProMotion smoothing, and artificially adding frames to a video with a low frame rate so that it has a higher frame rate and gives it that smooth effect?
Should I get s21 ultra or iPhone 13 pro max ? Does 12gb vs 6gb ram matters ?
Your video is super sharp - what's your camera set up?
Please can u give us the iPhone wallpaper download link
Watching on my pixel 6. Wouldn't want any other phone. Google is crushing it this year!
What is the wallpaper on the iPhone 13 Pro?
I'm torn between regular pro and max.. The size is worrying me but I want the great battery life and also.. What happens with the battery life when all apps support 120 refresh? 🤔🤔 Then maybe the regular pro will fail? Advice please
Same here. Cannot choose between regular and max. Mostly because i am not sure about the batter on the regular.

Is the pro max too big? I'm a kid but have a oneplus 6t which is a relatively large phone but I'm nervous to get my 13 pro max as it will be too big.
I’m rocking the 11 pro max still but just bought the 13 pro max thru t mobile with their deals they had going on. Anyone else impulse buy a new phone like I did ? 🤷🏻♂️
I was indeed watching this as I received the new 13 Pro Max. It’s a lovely HEAVY iPhone.
I have an IPhone 6, should i upgrade?
Is iPhone 13 Pro Max keyboard the same as the all the previous generation iPhones? In other words, do you still have to toggle from numbers to letters?
yes i prusume so ...
Iphones hold out value. Thts the beauty of it. Im still on 11Pro and never a dull moment, will however pick up the 14Pro next year
Still rocking my iPhone 5s, probably will get the SE 2 when it goes down in price.
Been using android my whole life and decided to switch and bought the iPhone 13 pro max, it’s a great phone and feel like I’m getting used to ios. I love both anyway, technology is amazing
Nice review video! I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max. My girlfriend has the 11 Pro Max, and I bought her a 13 Pro Max for Christmas. I’m sure she’ll love it.
