- One of the first pieces of news regarding the 2022 theme park season is going to be an upcoming Gerstlauer coming to America. So far we have no information regarding this coaster beside the fact it's going to be a record-breaker. This future roller coaster could have the steepest drop in the world(TMNT Shellraiser American Dream Mall), most inversions (The Smiler Alton Towers), or something more extravagant. Cedar Point could possibly be a contender for the new coaster, it has been almost four years since Steel Vengeance. But until we get any more information the status of this future attraction is unknown. So let's wait and see what this new record-breaking roller coaster may be.

The records are gonna be stuff like "steepest coaster with a verical loop and cobra roll after a brake run"
I could see Kings Island getting it if they didn’t just get Orion. It would fit perfect in the vortex plot of land.
that or another launch coaster that isn't a clone
I see something like Hangtime going in that plot of land, but no record breaker like this coaster.
why isn’t anyone talking about taking Cannibal’s record of tallest coaster with a beyond vertical drop
I wouldn't count out your polar coaster predicition. Anyone remember what the OTHER name was that Cedar Fair had trademarked when they got the trademark for Orion? There were 2 names at that time, remember??? Orion and Polaris... POLARis. Sounds like an excellent name for the first polar coaster ever built, straight to the point. Not to mention they could knock out a ton of records like inversions, steepest drop, but also the biggie, the 500ft coaster they have been teasing. They said it was a challenging location, building anything that tall on the CP peninsula is a challenge no doubt. They said it would be a one of a kind, something that would draw people from all over the world. The worlds first 500ft polar coaster would bring a crowd for sure. It does seem far fetched at first, but when you think about it starts to make sense. I think you may be onto something.
Wouldn't be a coaster prediction video without one of my T-Rex videos being used as footage ;)
I also agree with the choice being "steepest drop".
Could still happen. They are taking out Twister and it's the same footprint
You know, I actually thing seaworld san diego may get it, because the wild arctic ride closed and there is a lot of room if they remodel the aquarium, and they also just started demolishing their defunct ride submarine quest, so that's 2 plots where they could fit a new coaster, though I think this wouldn't happen :(
Now imagine they make the steepest Inverting coaster to bamboozle us all
I can tell it’s going to be 16 inversions but I feel like the smiler deserves to keep the record really
Yeh the smiler is literally all us Brits have
Why can't they claim the steepest drop record and the most inversions record? Definitely a possibility
Great video I hope it does go to Cedar Point
I think your forgetting Maverick, their over 90 degree drop coaster
Turns out its going to Glenwood caverns in Colorado I honestly would have never guessed that but it looks good and it definitely has a great view of the mountains and everything
Have they revealed what the coaster is going to look like?
Worlds of Fun is still waiting. You have to give people a good reason to go there again.
I could see it be a tall structure like steel curtain but taller, cedar point loves to steal kennywoods thunder.
I personally think it's to early to start predicting on this and it's better to wait but if I had to predict, I'd say CP. I would say KI but they just go Orion so...
What if they break the Steepest and Most Inversion Records with it?
I have done some rides on Smiler and weirdly you don’t actually feel that sick. Maybe because it’s broken up by a two lift hills.
I'm thinking Kings Island should get it because of the relationships they have with the companies. Also they could use that piece of land for a rollercoaster as big as the park.
I don’t feel sick at all after riding the smiler, I PROMISE u wouldn’t
American Smiler. replace Corkscrew
Adding 15+ inversions will give them the most inversions in NA with 43 until next year as long as magic mountain does get a 4+ inversion coaster
I would definitely prefer it being the inversion record. One inversion difference feels like a bigger deal than half a degree. The ride experience with a fraction of a degree won’t feel unique from TMNT, but there is nothing like the smiler in the US, not by a long shot.
SFFT says Hi!
The more inversions the better
Is there any sign of construction in the park as of July 2021? If not, the chances of a major new ride in 2022 are mostly gone.
to me gerstlauer is the most underrated manufacturer
Okay but imagine surrounding power tower with a polar coaster 😳 not only would it take up no extra space but cedar point wouldn’t have to get rid of any rides
The issue is the structure and foundation isn't built for a coaster. The added weight would physically not be realistic.
They also have maverick for a launch coaster 😥
4:42 they are
Yeah your tower coaster thing would bring my death lol
I love The Polar Coaster Or Biggest Steepest drop But Be Great to Have New of its kind Flying Coaster Manta Ir Batman But Bigger
Dollywood has two Gerstlauers, so don’t rule them out.
Som how did that work out.
this could also be a silly record like "tallest vertical lifthill" or "most inversions on a coaster with a vertical lifthill" Parks are great at finding these records.
Honestly why do people still think they are getting a 500 foot coaster anytime soon? I swear the last 3 times CP said they were building a coaster everyone went crazy thinking it's a 500 foot coaster. CP likes to do a something a lot, and it's called mess with coaster enthusiasts because they know they get a reaction
I think cedar point was supposed to get a coaster in 2021 but because of the pandemic....
What if we are all being trolled and it is actually the worlds smallest Kiddie Racer being built?
I can see them removing Rougarou and putting it there! Rougarou could get relocated to Worlds Of Fun
Rougarou was only renovated and "opened" six years ago. The park would not remove something they just invested heavy money and marketing into. Plus, Rougarou still gets substantial lines. An average of an hour and a half on most summer weekend days.
@@channel12985 well we will see! As you could see last year that was one of the roller coasters they kept closed a lot and I don’t feel like it fits in to much anymore! And think another park could really benefit from it like Worlds Of Fun
i think they are gonna rip out wicked twister and move it to kings island and then put the new coaster in
@@skellyboy1041 I don’t see wicked Twister going to Kings Island I see it going to a smaller cedar fair park like worlds of fun
What if fiesta Texas got it.. there’s a small chance.
Too.many inversions smh...thats a no go....GP will not like feeling dizzy and sick after 1 or 2 rides.....steepest vertical drop..it would seem too similar to Valravn...CP needs to do something maybe like A controlled spinning Gerstaluer or something and make it 200ft
The drop is "beyond vertical" and it is nothing like a B&M dive. I promise.
With the price of inflation now i don't think they are going to build a new coaster
A poller coaster with the steepest drop and 15 inversions. Is coming
It will be a 526 foot infinity, with 16 flips Does that excite me? Eh..... After you've done that once or twice - I'm over it .. maybe. This would be the tallest AND steepest coaster in the world.
I feel like they will make it 500 ft 150 mph launch like TTD, then after the brakes a 150 ft lift with a 122 degree drop and 10-15 inversions
I knew from day 1 that this record breaking coaster was not going to cedar point and I was right. Why you ask. Well look at the companies history and where they have built coasters in America especially firsts and record breaking ones . Example The first infinity coaster came to Adventureland in Iowa and nobody saw that coming and tmnt shell raiser at American dream. Plus weaker parks have gotten coasters from them as of late like Adrenaline peak in Oregon. Also Darien lake has one and its not a top spot for coaster lovers either. Most of there rides or around 70% of them go to none top tier parks in America, not saying it will always be like that but it has been so far.
Hi
hi
@@GreatAmericanCoaster why does your reply have more likes than the comment lol
@@oofintic5734 hehe good question lol
You never mention herschend
did you watch the video
I don’t think Cedar Point will break any major records with the coaster. Just look at every other coaster in the park it has some stupid world record. It might be a record for that type of coaster but it won’t be one of the big four records ( height, speed, length or inversions) it could be a stupid record like Valravn’s records or even Steve’s records.
Yeah they'll probably make it a 200 foot coaster and find some way to spin that as a new record. I remember when Valravn opened and they marketed this long list of every record that it broke: every record on the list was some super specific stat that no one would ever feasibly think about. It's all just pretty words to entice the general public, and Cedar Point knows that if they're able to entice the GP, then there's no real point to spend the extra money to get a truly groundbreaking record like height or inversion count. Who knows though, maybe I'm just being too pessimistic.
Hi hi🎢😍🥰
I'm still betting this New Record Breaking Gerstlauer goes to Magic Mountain. I mean, did SF publicly say that they won't ever deal with Gerstlauer in the future? A Gerstlauer at MM would blow more than a few minds...
Just like I can’t ever see CP dealing with Intamin again, I can’t ever see Six Flags dealing with Gerstlauer again.
never been on a gerstlaur but I'd rather have something else at CP, its my home park and idk they look so... ehh to me. Inversions are cool and all but they set the standard so high with SV
