Is A Giga Coaster Actually Going To Knott's Berry Farm?

- The Rumored Giga coaster for Knotts Berry Farmed is gaining more momentum. The layout for the roller coaster was just leaked and it seems to emphasize the largest ride of its kind. If the stats are correct this Giga could potentially be larger than Fury 325 at Carowinds. Is Cedar Fair ready to invent again in one of their flagship amusement parks? Or will this potential coaster for 2023 just live as fantasy?

He has the “expect disappointment so you won’t be disappointed” vide
My prediction
Height: 325 ft
Drop: 347 ft
Speed: 96 mph
Length: 6400 ft
Hotel: Trivago
As a person who visits CA a ton, this is great. I get your concerns, but I hope knotts figures stuff out. If this happens, it’ll be one of the world’s best 1-2 punches.
As a Californian, I would LOVE to see us finally get a Giga. Sadly, Goliath at SFMM is the only Hyper Coaster in the state. It's a rampy, airtime free bore. This would be a huge draw for Knott's and as someone who lives in Central, Ca. I'd love to see Knott's or CGA get an airtime filled B&M.
Technically Xcelerator is a hyper
I do think your concerns are valid about this not happening. Like in the future the delta plus rewards variant max shuts down everything again.
Please please please be true! I'm tired of only going to Knotts to ride Xcelerator and Ghost Rider. I tend to live at SIx Flags, but it's nice to bypass all that traffic to get to 6Flags!
If they build this shit I may never go back to SFMM again lol
"No matter how much sand you put in the track you can't drown out the screams"
Damn
Knott's is land-locked, but they fit stuff in like champs (with plenty of room for foot traffic). If you look up Grona Lund in Sweden, you will see there is *always* enough room to expand if a park wants to. With class and well-designed layouts, they get it done. Personally, I think the biggest concern with this at Knott's is all the screams that will come from the ride. They might have to cover some drops or put on scream shields. Silver Star at Europa Park in Germany has had a scream shield installed on it's first drop in recent years due to screams.
0:14 funny lol great vid
If you look at the layout, that's not a standard helix at the end of the L, that's a figure-8/ampersand turn like on Shambala
Grona Lund has proven time and time again that being landlocked is only an issue if you allow it to be, they probably would take one looks at Knotts and see plenty of room for multiple new coasters
Another great example is Blackpool Pleasure Beach, it technically could be done without going into the parking lots if they really wanted it to
:"Drop is to big so tunnell and street but supports and the rest is self explanatory." Me who doesn't even know what a giga coaster is: haha rollercoaster go brrrrr
Just an FYI but Leviathan was originally scheduled for Knotts.
Source?
@@alecscheerer_run When Knott's announced Hangtime, the VP discussed that. He said they ultimately decided not to do it because it would hurt Ghost Town's theme, but Cedar Fair had greenlit it initially, so they built Leviathan.
Look up Grona Lund in Sweden. There is *always* room to expand ;)
Goliath at SFMM was also built in a parking lot. And has a tunneled drop that's 20 feet more than the lift height. So the stats for the lift/drop ratio in the Knott's giga sounds about right.
If this opens, good for them!
Well not actually 'confirmed' but plans available. Nothing is certain until Cedar Fair announces. It is highly likely though.
ok if this gets approved then my concept was WAYY off. i was expecting to just be over 300ft and plus the elements i had in my concept weren't as creative. but it still was fun to make and it still isn't bad. but this right here just blows it all the way out the water.
That turn around looks like the same one on shambala
Went in 2024. No Giga :(
i think that the helix a copy is of shambalas turnaround (as you cant see depth/3 d in this drawing
I honestly wonder if a Knott's Berry Farm Giga can fit, i wonder say if you had Titan or Goliath at SFMM and SFOT, and then you use their parts to create Gigas in place of them both. I think it would be cool but idk if they would do that because of the GP
Can we call it Berry 325?
*325
Coming to Knotts in 2024: Fury 326
Berry 347
If this is true Kings Island should be pissed
I dont think thats a standard helix. From 4ft to like 160ft. Thats a shambala esk turnaround
Congratulations if it’s true however I will be sad if it breaks the record of fury. I guess it was only a matter of time.
Has nobody ever thought about a theme park expansion behind Coast Rider?
there's a parking lot back there on the west side but it's right next to an elementary school
As someone who lives in southern CA and has been to knots. I’m just not seeing how this fits. If this is a sketch I don’t see the county clearing this
Ain’t no way. Lmao. Sorry, won’t believe it until I see consruction equipment start to show up.
Sometimes, eating your words is the best meal you can get as an enthusiast, right?
yep, and it'll be delicious when theirs an announcement.
Well knotts is the money maker
I think knotts plan is still in the proposal phase. I doubt Buena park wants this thing.
I’m so REVEALED this coaster has been RELIEVED
Please say you get the joke 😂
It's not a helix the turnaround is like shambalha's I think
It's still quite possibly that the plans are bogus. Not too difficult to create a fake layout
I live in Kentucky but if that worlds biggest giga leak is real and is built I'd travel across the country to go there 🎢
Yep, looks like CF coped-out on KI's Giga, not giving the park a 300 ft Giga because KI is a family park, when that's what KBF is!
Sounds crazy but yeah kbf is Cedar fair’s breadwinner and one of their year round parks and as of now kbf may have record attendance numbers
If this is real well know the winner of the golden ticket awards
All cali has is Goliath and that ride sucks so bad. Hope this comes true for west coast.
if you choose to move next to an amusement park and then complain to the city about noise, you shouldn't be allowed to vote
Lol screw the giga how about a raptor or at rex
Omg this be amazing! but then again this is california
I don't think it's legit tbh
Anyone who works in the foods department at Knott's will agree that the station location according to this coaster plan is stupid af. It literally removes the majority of the central production for food, the employee cafe and the food administration offices. Also Knott's can barely park it's guests during scary farm lol (coaster removes lots of precious parking spots)
First (pin me plz)
