- Out of all the roller coasters, I've ridden. This roller coaster at cedar point is my least favorite ride of them all. I know that this is the roller coaster capital of the world and they are home to the best roller coaster in the world, Steel Vengeance. However, I still this one of their coasters in their lineup is shameful. An amusement park that is known for being the best of the best, hasn't bothered on keeping up with its own standard. This coaster was known to be great when it opened. Yet today I feel it's fallen behind.

I honestly didn't have a problem with Blue Streak. It was a bit bumpy, but a lot of wooden coasters have a rumble to them. Then again, I did ride Wildcat at Lake Compounce earlier this year, so maybe I just thought Blue Streak just wasn't as bad. I guarantee Wildcat is a LOT worse, and Lake Compounce is my home park.
Its a blessing that Lake Compounce has Boulder Dash.
Wildcat at lake compounce should be torn down and sold as firewood for the winter. It's unbelievable that a ride that bad and old is still operating. And it's even more unbelievable that there's always a line of people wanting to ride it!

wildcat is hands down the worst roller coaster I've ever ridden. The only thing going for it is its position over the entrance. Much more fun to watch than to ride
I personally found Blue Streak to be a really underrated Coaster and the airtime is just on point for the most part

Come on. Blue streak is a good ride. Solid airtime, relatively smooth. You obviously never road the monstrosity that was mean streak if you think blue streak is the worst coaster in the world.

I just made my first ever trip to Cedar Point Saturday, and it seems like I did well by not wasting my time on this. I even got a second ride on Steel Vengeance at night.

Lucky! That's one of my favorite rides there. We just went last weekend and we're going again tomorrow for the last day of Halloweekends and I'm hoping to ride it again!

I think Blue Streak is scary as it’s bumpy and throws you out of your seat in a polarizing way. I admit that it has pain, but I think it’s decent overall.
I got exited because I saw magnum on the thumbnail and that’s my least favorite coaster but still great video! I wish I got to ride blue streak but I guess I’ll just have to find out if it’s good or bad when I go to cp next
That is weird. I found the coaster to be butter smooth when I rode it 2 months ago. I also felt ejecter airtime on most of the hills but that could be because of my light weight

Damn I was ready to agree with you when you said Magnum... but now I can't disagree more. Blue Streak was a decent ride in my opinion. While rough, I still got a lot of airtime and didn't feel painful at all. Not a great coaster but nowhere near my least favorite
Mean streak was the most painful coaster I've ever rode. I don't know if it's something to do with my build, but it was absolutely brutal on my lower back. Rode it and loved it as a kid, and I wondered why my dad wouldn't ride it. I found out.
I can say the same for myself, went on Judge Roy Scream at SFOT in 2011 when I was much younger, it’s pretty much the same layout as blue streak and I rode it recently and it hurt more than I remember
I rode magnum this year and it was so bad my hips hurt and I couldn’t feel my left thigh. You probably think I’m not being serious but i am. I even sat in the magic seat. Never again
Reminds me of an old coaster from Georgia. It was "Cheetah" at Wild adventure. You could just tell it's condition wasn't the best. I liked the ride for it's airtime and speed, but I've never been on a rougher rollercoaster in my entire life. My body shook the entire ride and it always give me a headache. The ride shut down a few years ago. Not sure when exactly.
I appreciate you giving American Eagle some love. I thought I was the only one who enjoyed that coaster.
Blue Streak is one of my favorite coasters. I love the airtime and being thrown around.
Fun fact: my grandparents rode Blue Streak on their first date!
Blue Streak holds a special place in many hearts as the oldest standing coaster at Cedar Point. The Blue Streak roller coaster, which made its debut at Cedar Point on May 23,1964, it was the first major coaster built at the park since 1929. It was named after the mascot of Sandusky City Schools.
David and Diane DeMali Francis wrote in their book, Cedar Point: "The Queen of American Watering Places" (Amusement Park Books, 1995), that the Blue Streak was designed by coaster engineer Frank Hoover, and John Allen. Built by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company. Crews worked on construction of the coaster in the winter months, battling high winds and snowstorms. Three tons of nails and 200,000 feet of lumber were used in the construction of the Blue Streak, which was 72 feet high and 2,400 feet long.
By the way... For the greater good, I suppose, the seats are a bit more restrictive these days. The trains have been heavily modified from their original state, which did not include seat dividers or high seat backs. Still, the Blue Streak is another stunning example of Cedar Point's rich history.
Blue Streak was recognized by ACE (American Coaster Enthusiasts) as a classic coaster.
In 1995 Cedar Point updated Blue Streak by putting in a new ride computer (replacing the manual brakes), headrests on trains and individual laps bars. The updating made Blue Streak lose the recognition as being a classic coaster. Even with the updated trains the ride is still great. For the 2001 season Blue Streak was re-tracked.
Seven hills are filled with killer floater airtime. Some people may think Blue Streak is rough (it shakes, rattles and rolls), but hey, it is a wooden coaster.
In addition: You can get significant airtime on this coaster. I have found that if you give yourself some room with the lap bar and the operator doesn't jam it through your pelvis, you can enjoy nearly standing status on the majority of the ride.

I love it! I know you're joking, but I have honestly had rougher rides on Fury than any ride I've ever had on Blue Streak.
my opinion is i have none. haven't been to cedar point yet, but if next summer goes well i'll be visiting there for my 1st time with 3 full days of fun.

Man you really fooled us into thinking it was Magnum XL-200. Still, I don't think Blue Streak is THAT bad. Maybe one day when I visit Cedar Point for the first time (it's on my bucket-list), I'll give this ride a try and see if it is as rough as you say it is.
I’m glad I’m not alone, I despise it and I think it’s for sure the worst ride at the park. I’d rather line up for cedar creek mine ride honestly.

If you ride this in 3rd or 2nd to back, it is very fun. Every 3rd row or just rows 3, 6, 9, 12 are soooo rough. 3rd and 2nd to back you should try. It is not rough there
I only rode it in 2001 and it was glass smooth. I guess it's deterioated a lot. Last year when I finally went back after over 2 decades, I avoided it cause of reports like this. What I don't understand is why they won't retrack it. In the back row we got no airtime.
I rode this about a month ago and was pleasantly surprised by it. A little rough but not too much. The worst ride at Cedar Point to me is Magnum XL. Worst coasters I've been on are T3 at Kentucky kingdom, Manhattan Express at the NYNY Casino & the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Orlando.
I actually like Blue Streak. Granted I only ride it in the front row. The very front row is smooth and painless. As long as you ride it in the front row you’ll come off really enjoying it
I rode Blue Streak for the first time in 2020 and I was really looking forward to it because I love wooden coasters but it was truly terrible. It’s my 3rd worst credit personally, behind Wild Mouse at Hersheypark and the worst Racer at Kings Island. But Blue Streak is truly bad, it’s relatively forceless and it’s crazy rough and that’s coming from someone who loves Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Over Georgia.
When I went to the park, I found Corkscrew, Magnum XL 200 and Wicked Cyclone to be the 3 worst.
Blue streak is ok, it was a one and gone. Especially in a park like Cedar Point!

I actually agree with this. I took my first trip out to Cedar Point this summer, and when I got off Blue Streak, all I could say was "That was awful"
The only "coaster" I have ranked lower is Black Diamond at Knoebels, and that's only because it's a dark ride
It's pretty bad but I found the Mean Streak(now obviously Steel Vengence) to be even worse! Omg I'm so glad they redid it and made it what it is in Steel Vengence because that ride literally gave me back problems for weeks when I rode it back in 2000, and I was only 15 years old! 😳
Did you ever get to ride Raging Wolf Bobs at Geauga Lake? Blue Streak is silk compared to that thing.

I love PTC wooden coasters. I think they are very underrated and are smooth if you lean forward. Blue streak is my favorite PTC wooden coaster. Also I was freaking out that you were gonna hate on magnum.🤣
You literally said that you have to do the hokey pokey just to get a smooth ride. It’s like classic arrow loopers, there’s a way to not get headbanging but it feels like the biggest chore so just don’t go on the ride. I respect your opinion but I highly disagree

I kinda like Blue Streak. I think a retrack could help it. I think some Timberliner trains would be totally sweet

also I don't really agree with your assessment on blue streak but maybe it just got bad after June 2019. I found blue streak to be a refreshing change of pace when it comes to wooden coasters, since my home park is home to Screaming Eagle, the spine splitter, and Boss, the most polarizing woodie there is. I never considered Blue Streak a great ride but it wasn't unenjoyable

The Boss is a little better since they took out that second tight turn at the end, but American Thunder is my favorite coaster here (StL). Mr. Freeze and Batman are pretty fun too. Millennium is my favorite coasters there, but I like a lot of them there.
I always thought Blue Streak as a small scale verison of Shriving Timbers
You aught to ride The Boss at Six Flags St. Louis. Blue Streak will feel SMOOTH after riding The Boss. I rode it twice and I had a headache and back pain the entire rest of the day.
can confirm it's hellishly rough. but my main complaint with boss is that it's so damn forceless and has not 1 moment of airtime, even the drop, it feels like a car ride but far bumpier

Boss is the roughest coaster I have ever ridden! Rattler, the old Texas Giant, and even Wilde Beast take a back seat to the roughness of the Boss.

Blue Streak was AWFUL for me it was so terrible.
Hated that damn thing. The best part of the ride was that it broke down while I was on it so I got to ride Millennium Force with no wait
I rode Bluestreak in 2017, it was really swell and full of nice airtime

Not a clue how you felt that way. I am 42 with a ridiculous sensitivity to roughness and I don’t find Blue Streak rough at all. In fact you are the first person I have heard say that. Legitimately. Boring? Maybe. But rough? Never heard that take nor felt that way

The restraint was pushing in on my guts. (I don't remember if it was also pushing down on my legs.) I vomited while we were waiting to unload. I will definitely skip it next time. Take an extra ride on Gemini instead!

I wonder if it's more rough than the Manhattan Express in Vegas back when it was brand new with the shitty cars with practically no padding? I came away from that one with bruises.

2:40 ride grizzly at kings dominik and you at like 45 degrees on the lift and the turn out the station is so rough, gives you time to think out how bad your decision to wait on the walk-on line and actually get on

Actually the one in the thumbnail magnum used to be amazing and I could ride it over and over , went on couple years ago and the hills at the end tore my thighs up. It was NOT fun.
Personally I didn't have a problem with blue streak it was a fun old woodie but the only thing was that it made me extremely nauseous.
I'm 5'10 and the restraint was so tight us they stapled me. The seat was so small but I feel like if they get new trains and a retrack it will be fun
I am 5 10 and always get plenty of room and 3rd and 2nd to back are smooth. The very back is the rough seat
The Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake Park doesn't seem as rough as the one at Cedar Point.
I don’t really mind the jackhammering and the restraints but I was flying on every hill. I can totally understand why you wouldn’t like it though.
Blue Streak’s roughness is nothing on Racer at Kings Island. I have a very sensitive back and Blue Streak did nothing to hurt it, while Racer almost ruined my day! Jackhammer effect to the fullest

I have a feeling you don’t know how to ride non gci woodys, that and you are not a woody lover, but I’ve only had one rough ride on a woody since I found out that the front row of the back car is a whole lot better than any other spot, I’ve absolutely loved woodys since finding that sweet spot.

Blue Streak doesn’t bother me and was a bit more fun than I remembered (for what it is). Magnum XL-200 is way WAY more painful because of the seats and restraints. I will not ride it again. That being said, I love Cedar Point and Millennium Force with all my heart!!! RIP Wicked Twister. I was sad to see it go.

Blue Streak? I actually like Blue Streak, it has some nice air time on it if you sit in the front (second row is the best). If this is worst the boy oh boy get ready to ride T3 at Kentucky Kingdom, easily one of the most painful coasters I have ridden
I thought it was okay, definitely not awful, but wouldn't exactly call it good either, haha. I think I just don't like old woodies in general to be honest.
