I was initially looking to change the oil filter. I took it to a garage 6 months ago & they said that all this was done, oil, fuel and cabin filters. You just can't be certain that you're being told the truth so the best thing to do is to do it yourself if you can. Your video shows all the instructions required to do it. Thanks.
Never chance it if you can DIY, use the best parts available and save on labour. At very least regular oil changes will keep your car running better for longer.
Working on the ground undertrays are the worst! It means you have to jack the car up way higher than if they just gave you a small access hole to the sump plug like they do on some cars!
Best service for this car I have seen, many Thanks. I would only add that on the petrol filter it's worth pointing out if you don't rotate the centre you can break the centre rod if you then try to pull it apart. Again, really helpful video.
Thank you for the feedback! When I’m in my friends workshop I don’t have anyone to record for me which makes it harder to show exactly what’s going on but I appreciate you mentioning it so other can see. I’m so glad the video helped!
I'm about to buy this moden 2015 and this video helps me a lot. I have a megane 2 2002 now and i can say that it would not be difficult me to do it :) as i do it on my megane 2. Many thanks for the video.
I agree however the amount of residual oil inside the engine means you’ll never really get everything. As long as the car is maintained regularly it shouldn’t make any difference.
@@IAMASPANNER What about the old oil that never comes out due to the ingressed sump plug? Won't it contribute to the gradual accumulation of dirt that will inevitably block that turbo filter mesh?
SUGGESTION! Remove the oil filter first before draining the sump as it allows any impurities from the oil filter to drain into the sump before the oil is removed.
I usually leave the oil draining while the sump plug and oil filter are both removed but you are correct it is good practice to remove the oil filter first.
Many thanks for uploading the video! It is very helpful for DIY! I see you are having good practice to replace screws and washers. Do you have the screws and washer sizes and norms?
Glad to help! I don't have the sizes, you'd just need to order a sump plug for your car. If you give an auto factors your registration number they'll be able to find you one.
You wouldn't know by any chance where is the power steering wheel fluid reservoir is located on this model? I just can't find it to check the fluid level. Thank you
I don’t know off the top of my head but I’ve tried to Google images. It looks like it’s a black cap with a red steering wheel on but the pipe looks short so it may be pretty close to the steering rack and lower down in the engine bay. From what I can see briefly looking the power steering is the electric type.
Hi Mullah, I haven’t heard this, unless it’s an oddly specific engine generally we use GM Dexos 2 which covers most cars including Mercedes long life and even VW PD.
I don’t have the paperwork anymore and I’m surprised I do usually put part numbers in the description. If you check who your local motor factors are you could try calling them or even get a quote from Halfords then shop around. Euro car parts website would also show you the part numbers just by typing your reg in.
In the lubricant advisor it says oil capacity is 3.75 (with oil filter) i guess? . Can you please tell me is 3 litre enough to get minimum oil on the dipstick, or 3.25l maybe?
Hi. I've been doing this by myself for a while. But i cannot change the air filter. My box has a mass airflow sensor on it(i think its called). I snapped it once. I know you twist it and pull it but there is no room to remove it to get the lid off. Any advice? Thanks
Hello there. Thanks for the video. Very useful. Are there any frequent known defects with these engines ? I am looking at buying one and i was wondering if it is safe to buy one that already has 200 000km on bord. Any feedback would be much appeciated. Thanks !
This engine is in a lot of cars and I’ve seen plenty with over 200k miles on the clock. Just make sure the belts have been done if you’re buying at that mileage. They have quite a high service interval for the belts and if they fail there’s a lot of work to fix them or it may even destroy the engine.

Wouldn't trust any of them. Get it done yourself is the only option 💯
Recently just got a 308 and this video helped a lot to show ease of servicing hardest part be that bloody undertray

Much appreciated - no nonsense and very clearly demonstrated...even I could manage it now - thanks
That’s great, thanks Brendan!

Thanks very much save lot money. For everyone who watch this bit sounds missing early on start keep making other parts too later thanks

Thanks very much, seems the only one out there for the 1.6 hdi 92 t7
That car comes from a Battle? 🤣. Nice vídeo, It helps me a lot. Thanks!!!!
Thank you sir for your time and your expertise. Congrats
That’s very kind Alexandre, thanks for watching and the feedback!
thanks bro from Belarus
Excellent video! Does 27/6 on the oil filter nut mean it's a 27mm nut?
hey buddy, its a very helpful video
thanks
Excellent walkthrough... thank you...... and one handed too .... very impressive..... 😂
Thank you very much, and yes, can't believe how many jobs I have done one handed!
When you screw of the oil-filter then a lot of old oil will come out. So i would close the screw at the bottom after oil-filter change.

Won't it contribute to the gradual accumulation of dirt that will inevitably block that turbo filter mesh?
If this is an issue then follow service intervals or change oil more often and before changing the oil maybe add an additive that helps flush the oil.
Vielen Dank, jetzt kann ich meinem Onkel etwas helfen.
Ich helfe sehr gerne!
Thanks for the video . How many horse in this engine ?
You’re welcome Hamza, 92bhp according to a quick car check.
Very helpful thank you.

how often should a DIYer do this to their car?

To confirm, it's electric so you won't find a pump/reservoir
Which grade oil is best for the 16 valve 1 6 hdi engines?
I hear they are notoriously delicate
Hi Mullah, I haven’t heard this, unless it’s an oddly specific engine generally we use GM Dexos 2 which covers most cars including Mercedes long life and even VW PD.
5w30 c2
Thx!) When will be 1.5 BlueHdi 130 HP?
Whenever I get chance to do one 🤞
Well presented thanks for sharing
Whats the clicking sound when the engine is running? I have the same car and it sometimes makes the same sound. Is this common on these models?
Most engines do it, it’s usually just the injectors or something electrical
Is there any chance you could link the filters and everything you need in the description?

It probably would be, there’s usually between 0.5 and 1 litre difference between minimum and maximum.

Hi Michael, the MAF sensor is the bit you can see around 4:16 with the part orange connector. Is there a sensor in your air box cover or something?
THX FOR HELP ;-)
You’re very welcome!
That's a pretty useful video... Hate the look of that cabin filter I bet there was no sound to hide the swear words.
Cabin filters are the worst and yes, there’s a lot of swearing involved on most jobs!
Hi after how many miles do you do these filter changes on your Peugeot
Hi, they vary but approximately off the top of my head, oil every 12k, air every 24k and cabin/fuel every 40k

undercarrige bolts are M10 x XXmm? or Mxx X 10mm?
10mm heads so M6 bolts
Whats is the year of this car? And motor Code?
Exist different types of fuel filter and Air filter that It depends of the year of manufacture.
2014 but unfortunately I don’t have a record of the engine code.
thanks!
Did you fill the new filter with diesel pal? I do where I can think helps purge the air out cheers 🍻
No I didn’t, yes I would suggest that where possible but many cars this isn’t possible
These new cars have electric diesel pumps, just crank it few times and it will pull the same moment
Je vous remercie beaucoup
hi mate, 4 liters enough for it?
Yes the capacity is 3.8 litres.
@@IAMASPANNER thank you
oil 0w30 ? 5W30 ?
I don’t know what the manufacturer recommends but I used 5w30.
Под капотом наклейка на видио видно,рекомендуемого масла пооизводителем пежо -тотал 0w30.5w30 тоже идёт. Лайк и подписка..... УКРАИНА.
