If I asked you to come up with three things you would want someone to know about you before you had a single conversation with them, what would they be?
If you are an author, they could be: knowledgeable, eccentric, and kind
If you are a realtor, they could be: approachable, professional, and determined
If you are an educator, they could be: fun, engaging, and quirky
Now, in what ways does your personal style currently reflect the qualities that came up for you?
Your personal style and the way you present yourself serve as the initial touchpoint with potential clients, partners, and collaborators. This means that when it comes to creating a brand that stands out in today’s saturated market, it’s important to take a look at your style, just like you would any other asset.
My friend, Rich Cardona, is the brave volunteer for a fashion intervention and case study for what is possible. Rich, any time you ready for that shopping date, let me know.

Absolutely fabulous masterclass in finding your personal style!
I'm a personal stylist, and these are all the steps I take my clients through to help them discover their unique personal style. From determining the 3 things you want to communicate through your appearance, to finding style icons and putting together mood boards on Pinterest - THIS is how you find your style!
I always tell people they can actually do it on their own, it's just easier and faster with a personal stylist.
And so many great tips! The tips about repeating the "pop of color" 3 times, as well as purchasing items from the same manufacturer for the sake of color matching, and using functional accessories to show your style...
    Chef's kiss of a masterclass! 👏👏👏

I don't know if anyone has ever heard of the Brownie experiment?
Brian Wansink at Cornell University tested to see if he could change the taste and perceived value of the Brownie by changing the way it was presented.
The first Brownie was on a napkin, the second on a paper plate, and the third on fine china.
Each Brownie came from exactly the same batch and was dusted with icing sugar to boot. The results were pretty incredible:
    Napkin - 53c
    Paper plate 76c
    Fine china $1.27
That's more than double the value for the same brownie on a napkin.
This also goes for wine too, but the difference wasn't the wine itself. The participants were told the exact same wine came from different countries. The results? France was rated the highest quality and Mexico the lowest quality.
So design does play a huge role in dhaping our reality, but really the secret ingredient in changing how we taste or value something is as you rightly say, CONTEXT!
Our brain is built to take shortcuts and it fills in the gaps and alters our reality to make the world make sense and keep us "safe". It's crazy really!

tbh people also have biases. Color wise or understanding wise. I find it interesting that no matter how much we put efforts as designers, clients will come up with their own set of expectations.

My company is just starting off. We make 10k annually and are struggling. We really enjoy brand lab and would love to be included. However, just as a bank we must meet THEIR criteria to even enter the door.
We know you mean well but you really bring meaning to the term " get rich and switch". This only for the rich club people.
The funny thing is ... most to all of creative ideas come from people who struggle. The pain motivates them into thinking different to accomplish their goal.
    THANK YOU!

After 6 years of working in ad agencies I want to focus on sports and gaming design as they were the reasons I learn design after high school.

Maybe is because I always wear black with almost no logos or graphics but often times when I'm at a restaurant, market, store, etc, people confuse me with people that work at those places and come asking for help. ^_^ My boss told me that I just look like a helpful person but I think is the full on black. My dad just tells me that I look like I'm going to a funeral.

I agree with you, however there is something to say about functionality and doing these things with moderation. You don't have to dress all creative if you don't like that. And for the example of the camera. You are not wrong. But to walk around all day with a camera that is much heavier only because it looks better doesn't feel worth it to me.

@CharlezMalasana This whole video is about elevating your branding with style so this "fashion makeover" is part of it. You can't tell me that you don't think a certain way when you meet someone in a suit vs someone in a military outfit. The way you dress can convey alot about you. If it's too cringy for you, that means that you're not mature enough to understand the reality of human nature and how people operate at a deeper level.
