    What do you mean "Do one side?" What is a side? You mean backside then front side, or side of your body? It looked like you were doing the whole circle, using both sides. I guess I will have to become a Patreon member just to ask questions.

    • @DancewithMyriam
      @DancewithMyriam  Год назад +1

      One side means to do the circle in one direction, like clockwise for example or counterclockwise, so both directions means full circles to the right and then also practice only full circles to the left 💖💖💖🫶

    Hi, what is the usual order of skill/move learned by student? I guess, everyone starts with the tamau (as the most basic / fundamental movement)? And do you need to, for example, nail down the ami first before the faraapu, for example? Where would you suggest a total beginner to start?

    • @DancewithMyriam
      @DancewithMyriam  3 года назад

      Yes Maria, tamau and tai’iri first, then tumami and from there to speed to a slow fa’arapu. I teach on patreon for $10 a month if you are looking for online lessons.

    • @DancewithMyriam
      @DancewithMyriam  3 года назад +2

      It is called pareo, pareu, lava-lava or sarong. It is basically a long rectangle of very thin cotton mainly fabric (so that it can move and flow as you move your hips) you can find online on etsy. Some are half pareo, like the one I am wearing and some are full pareo which would be double the length like a long maxi skirt.
