Dad?
ez
hey man! love the content
much love from australia
I thought you'd never come back from the gun store. Good to see you dad.
Daddy
So Alec has blamed:
- the gun
- the armorer
- the movie industry
- the police
- a mysterious Trump supporter that put a live round in the gun
And he hasn't blamed:
- his negligence
- his ignorance
Correct
And that's the sound of desperation.
And he never will.
And production on twitter, he is the prodution. Therefore he blamed himself without knowing. Classic
Edit: typo prodiction to production

The best thing that’s come from this is that now the Boss Baby has a higher kill count than most gun enjoyers.

Riddle me this, if federally mandated background checks were a thing, would Alec Baldwin be allowed to be in possession of guns to begin with? After all, he has shown that he cannot control his temper.
Federally mandated background checks *are* a thing and have been for a VERY long time.
Many years ago my neighbor was cleaning his gun and forgot it was loaded and shot a whole in the ceiling and this was coming from an individual who had 5 to 10 in a display case. My mom said what a dumb ass and told me assume that all guns are loaded.
My dad was a retired cop. One day I went with him to the sheriffs office, and he asked me if I noticed all the oddly placed pictures hung on the walls. I said “yeah...there are lot of them and they are at weird places”. He said every one was covering a bullet hole.
I'm a retired cop, and I believe this story. Our dept had a hold in the wall, and a hole in the ceiling of the bathroom where one of my idiot co-workers decided to "hang" his gun on the coat hook of the bathroom stall. (I've also seen cops look down the barrels of their weapons on the gun range when they fail to fire.) Cops are typically pretty damn bad at handling their weapons.

As an ex cop I’m laughing my ass off on the Alec Baldwin part. I was on the line in the academy when during mid mag shooting we were told to drop the mag. We did. Clearly firearms still had one “in the pipe” and were ready to fire. Instructor says” these guns can still fire correct?” As we all yelled “yes sir” he began a profanity tirade which we all were confused by at the time. Turned out, a recruit turned the gun and looked down the BARREL to see if there was a bullet in there…I kid you not. So no, cops are NOT firearms experts and his statement is just a hollow excuse.

The most impressive thing I took away from Tucker's interview with Kyle Rittenhouse, isn't just the fact that this young man is, intelligent, articulate and loves his community (and had the courage to defend it); it is mainly that he had the wherewithal to identify that he'd had a stoppage on his AR15 and in an instant knew to strike the bolt assist to fix it and was thus able to shoot Grosskreutz before he (Grosskreutz) shot him. And all this in a split second while he was under incredible pressure. Had he not cleared that stoppage as quickly as he did, Grosskreutz would probably have killed him and would today be hailed as a hero by the left and there would be a completely different story being told. As a former career Australian soldier of 38 years experience, I have seen trained soldiers make an absolute hash of clearing stoppages just like this under fire. Luckily they had mates around them who could relieve the pressure. Kyle was on his own. Mate you did a great job. Well done. To steal a phrase from the final episode of 'Band of Brothers' 'you deserve a long and happy life'.

Lightning never strikes thrice
@@robinpohl2702 well it did and it actually has like legit lightning strikes 2 so yeah awesome quote
Well, what do you expect from a liberal elitist like Alex. It's always someone else's fault, these a-holes always blame the gun and never themselves. It's funny that they are anti-gun, yet are always making violent shoot-em-ups. You'll think after two or three shows they would get a sense of reality. So it's ok for them to glorify violence, yet deny Joe citizen the right to self defense, and recreational shooting. If it is a real accident it is astronomically unlikely. I think he might have thought it was loaded with a blank, and was just joking around. Now it's denial time, and blame the gun time. King Alec has no clothes
@@robinpohl2702 it actually does rarely! But I dont think that played a role here.
Alec Baldwin didn't clear his own gun and didn't declare it safe. He trusted someone else to do it. It's his responsibility.
When I took my restricted gun test (I live in Canada and been exposed to guns as a kid) my teacher cleared the gun and handed it to me. I then cleared it too. I was one of the few in the class that did. Once that gun is in your hands there is no passing blame if something happens.
On a film set the armorer is responsible for the gun, end of story. It is incredibly common place for actors to not check a gun every single time it is handed to them or ever really, reason being they don't receive much official training, its usually just "do whatever the armorer does". His armorer told him the gun was cold so he had no reason to suspect the gun wasn't cold it is completely her fault. Same as with Michael Massee, a gun was improperly handled by the armorer (given to inexperienced stage hand for safety check) it wasn't his fault that the armorer didn't check the barrel before hand to clear it of obstructions, like I said before these are actors not gun experts.
He's not the one who's responsible for that dipshit. He's an actor not a firearms expert.
@@dickersonandassociates6729 You don't have to be an expert to check a handgun. I agree with your approach that we should completely revamp the movie armorer profession though.
@@Featherinmycap like I said before, actor and staunch believer in firearm regulation he has little to no experience in firearms. He wouldn't know the difference between a blank, dummy or live round. Simply put you are wrong it is the armors duty to provide safe firearms to actors if you are using guns for target practice hours before a shoot, storing prop guns and live ammo unlocked on a cart, and any number of other oversights are the armorers fault. Yes the standards in Hollywood should change but that is hardly Baldwins fault. As an actor you have to trust the people you're working wish, which is exactly what he did. She did not fulfill her duty and someone is now dead because of it.
FALSE, he wasn’t at a range dummy..It wasn’t even Alec baldwins fault though… it was whoever setup the gun for film and gave it to him ! Was just a lack of care, safety, and professionalism that day, such a Shame !

My dad is an almost retired CO who used to do testing for firearm certs. He said without fail someone every year would a) flag at least a small group of people, b) not clear a gun correctly (this was probably the most common), c) someone would lose a round after range had been called cold. He also had a few different negligent discharges although the only one that ended up with someone in an ambulance was a guy who shot himself in the leg while holstering. And this is in oklahoma, a fairly gun happy state. I could only imagine the ignorance in a state like California.

For training purposes, we were taught to give a verbal command when we entered our "defensive stance" Again, for training purposes, that command was "get back!" when we got to the firing line, we were instructed to load and then to enter our defensive stance (which roughly corresponds to a weaver stance)
One officer dropped her loaded shotgun like a sack of potatoes, put her fists up and screamed "GET BACK" on the firing line
What is more likely? That the gun fired itself, or that Alec is a liar.
Oh he is a lying shack of shit. Instead of owning up to his fuck up, he choices to rely on the average person's lack of firearm knowledge to pass blame. It's a tragedy to see the dismissal of the LIVE ROUNDS on a movie set when he is the fucking producer.

With so many examples of him being guilty of negligent manslaughter, why are we allowing it to draw out any more?
And why isn't the asshol, wait, okay I get it - rich HOLLYWEIRDO privilege. That's why he isn't rotting in prison for negligent homicide. ANY average Joe would get 20-30 years for that. Proof that rich/famous hypocrites like him are treated completely differently by the "law."
We once had to dremel apart a guys duty holster (leather) to get his pistol out, best we could figure rain had shrunk it....... admitted he hadn't drawn it in 3+ years outta holster....... so ya your take on cops is accurate
I studied under a forensics expert a few years back, and the amount of "ADs" that came in was absurd. About 10% were actual desk pops, with no real fault of the handler. For the rest, around 1/3 were NDs, and the rest were guns poorly modified/maintained by the owners, who mostly had either shaved the firing pin* to try to get a full auto weapon (..."bruh"'), or sanded down the trigger sear to lighten the trigger weight.
The best one that comes to mind was a colleague asking me to check what was up with his gun, because it just wouldn't detonate. Homie had drowned his handgun in lubricant, mag still inside, and left it in his drawer for weeks. His ammo was about as soaked as a horny nympho, and just as likely to go off from his finger as one. "Faulty weapons"...

ah the only thing that will kill a glock, lube or sand in the firing pin channel.
It was so disgusting that he blamed Halyna for pointing the gun at her and thus resulting in her death… and yet, if he was so concerned about absolutely never pointing a firearm at anyone as he says here …. Then why didn’t Alec advise/tell her to move when he began to point the gun in her immediate direction? Baldwin is so full of BS about his lack of responsibility.
You bring up an excellent point. Read/watch the earlier narrative alec tried to put out. The AD said during one scene where they had protective barriers and had to use blanks that Alec was so concerned about a child standing next to him when he fired that he asked her to move away and after the scene he went up to her to make sure she was okay. So with that in mind why would suddenly a concerned Alec decide to go careless, even when being directed, to point a gun - even when he thought it was fake - to another person?
Also earlier in the day they used the same gun to fire real bullets. Why would Alec or any reasonable person double check to make sure live rounds weren’t inadvertently loaded?
Overall I hope he goes to prison for this and “witnesses” get heavy punishments as well.
ok ok I work in film as a 1st/2nd AC. Just like I dont know everything about guns here.. I think you might not understand everything about filmmaking. He didnt blame Halyna, He explained why the gun was being pointed the way it was because it goes against the rule of dont point it toward people .. ever. It should have been a rubber prop gun and this happens all the time.. you line up the camera, use the rubber toy to line up the weapon, everybody gets 10 feet away from the camera (or wherever the weapon is pointing) and you rehearse.. armourer literally shouts fire in the hole 3x and then the scene is passed off to the Director to shout action and the scene takes place. Put yourself in his shoes.. he was working and trusting a "professional" coworker to keep the gun safety standards of the set, you can blame shift to Alec Baldwin but the truth is actors are NOT supposed to do the job of a professional armourer and theres several reasons for that. The armourer is supposed to have several years experience, the hours on hours of training and gun handling.. The actor is focused on playing a role, telling a story, looking good .. petty shit actors focus on .. so when he was told it was a "cold gun" he trusted the "professional" and was trained for that when he took the required gun safety classes through out his career to use these weapons on set.
The two only valid questions are:
1: How did a real bullet get on set? (Thats so wildly against every rule we have in film)
2: How did the weapon actaully discharge?
Then and only then can we start pointing at who is to blame.. there is just too many variables at play.
@@Troubledpro Ok and for arguments sake, lets just say I have a very extensive amount of experience with firearms. I understand what you’re saying and it does carry weight with me. However, at the end of the day, this was a real firearm with real responsibilities. I know everyone has 20/20 hindsight when something bad happens but somethings just were not acceptably done. At the very least, AB accepted a firearm, with its reported “cold” status from a non-qualified individual. Basically, AB allowed and accepted a major safety breach (negligence) in the chain of possession of that firearm from the wrong person declaring the weapon was safe and not who was actually supposed to be officially qualified and responsible for the dummy cartridges being loaded into that firearm (who wasn’t there to confirm anything). *I also do have significant questions about the armorer’s qualifications and actual experience and knowledge of firearms. After I heard her interview of her prior and first film experience and the specific firearms involved, she was “proud of” to have “figured out in her own” how they operated mechanically and to properly load them during the filming of that production … hearing that, gave me shivers. ** But it still disgusts me that AB knew not to point a firearm at anyone and didn’t accept that he shouldn’t have. As a human being holding the weapon, it was in his final control to decide where that gun was pointed and say something if one of the biggest rules in firearm safety was going to be violated.
@@Troubledpro You don't have to be an EXPERT in something to know something is dangerous. The only time someone has the ability to say they did not know it is dangerous is when only the so-called expert would know and the danger is not obvious to you. Here we have a gun, which everyone agrees is dangerous and capable of killing. You do not have to be a expert to know that. It's a clear, and understood danger that is universal across the world. Yet with this dangerous item, and something Alec knows is capable of killing, he decided to disregard that commonsense knowledge and just follow the so-called expert. That is negligence to the highest degree and something he should have been charged with.
@@Dan-di9jd It's sad that everyone has decided that the Armourer is not a serious position requiring real skills and qualifications and that they are not in any way responsible for their job. Or maybe that's just when they have breasts. The Armourer is responsible for every round, every gun, every aspect of the guns on set and in the end the buck stops with them. The first and only thing legally you need to charge Baldwin with negligence is that he hired an unqualified person to be the armourer. There's an interview with an Armourer where he talks about the specific requirements on set, exactly what the rounds look like and how to tell what type they are and how the guns and munitions are handled. The ammunition was unsecured. That's insane. In the end it's the Armourer that's responsible for the firearms, ammunition, and training and they are the last person to touch each one before handing them to the actors.
Baldwin needs to be held accountable for hiring an armourer that was unqualified and the armourer needs to be charged and tried for negligence after an investigation. That much I'm quite sure of.
