@@ignaciocuello3929 that's not what he said. He said his band isnt usually so tight and musically educated, which is absolutely true. Joe, for instance, is not as good as homie with the cowboy hat playing the drums in this song lol
It’s usually what happens when the lead singer of an old band starts touring solo again when he’s old and gets a really tight backing band, usually sounds nothing like the original band and just sounds super professional.

i think seeing this version of mac - slightly older and more subdued but with the same magic as his beginnings - made me realise he's literally the father of one of the decade's defining genres of music. i hope he's seen this way in years to come
I'd like to thank Jerry Garcia for stopping by and uh...slappin' it down on this track. Just wouldn't be the same without him. Thank you Jerry, the ghost of Jerry. RIP Jerry, we all love you, God bless.

I don't understand why CBS or the labels pull this kind of shit. Jon Batiste and his band played an amazing version of Dang with Anderson .Paak and Mac Miller. And one day, poof, it was scrubbed off the internet, like it never existed. Their just disrespecting the artists at this point.
@@dlzimbruceleritate Damn man. There's a Mac Miller profile that talks about how committed he was to that performance and how involved he was in the mixing of the music for the clip. Can't believe it's not on RUclips.
That acoustic guitar in the middle of a jazz band doesn't fit all, but here it fits so much, as it represents Mac playing his pop song with a jazz band.
Man I love how Batiste steps all over Mac with that crazy walk up on keys to let him know he's ending the tune lol. I wouldn't know what to do either. What a master.
Would love a whole album's worth of Burt Bacharach-style classic 70's yacht rock with a whole jazz band behind him. Also, I love before his first solo how Mac says "now shred, yeah!"
If I knew how to play the piano like that I’d go up to one of those outdoor pianos in parks n’ whatnot with a tuxedo with long coattail. But before I sat down to play I would flick my coattails back like Batman. Then I would gently touch the piano and say “shhhhh baby, be gentle you wild beast” and proceed to rock out so hard that a huge group of people gather in astonishment. Oh, who’s that? Mr. president? You want me to be your personal master of pianos? Sorry, sir. I’m just a lowly farmhand with a pension for sweet jazz. Then I would join a wandering circus, hopping from train to train. Wandering the countryside. Persisting off of nothing but sticks of butter I pillage from restaurants, and sweet soul music baby
When your custom character appears in a cutscene.
Mac Demarco needs to be a video game character tbh

the enthusiasm of that man behind Mac is fantastic

Yuhhhh he’s about to shank Mac
Vada Indeed. He enjoys it

Mac should do more music with brass and big bands lol. This is so good!!

macs lyrics are very easy to feel and embody so its really easy to sing along
