This man’s ability and level of genius was underrated. Undoubtedly the best crosser of the ball of all-time. Arguably the best free-kick taker/set-piece specialist but definitely among the top 5 at least. And one of the very finest overall passers in football. It’s a shame he never won a Ballon d’Or simply because these awards mostly favor strikers and goalscorers over any other type of player. So many other aspects of one’s game never get the credit they deserve.
