I've been at stage 2 waiting for stage 3 to happen for the last 3 years, granted I can't dedicated as much time as I'd like to due to irl commitments, but it's been tough making changes, trying to get exposure and then seeing very little return. I'm just extremely grateful for the community I have as that keeps me going live.
@@alexchavez3244 I've not used reddit for promotion before, I use it for talking about games and discovering new (and old, but new to me) games, I've always found most subreddits have a strict policy about promotion, are there any that aren't over saturated that are good for promotion in your opinion?
I'm in stage 2. but all branding and growth is because of your streaming advice videos. I just need to be more consistent and stick to my schedule. not just stream when I feel up to it because I have subscribers that deserve more. but a side note I have enjoyed making new friends on twitch and what an awesome thing we have on this platform. Thank you kat you're the best
The amount of free gold here should be criminal. But fr, I think videos like this give a realistic view that small streamers need. You can't be discouraged if you have humble beginning.
I'm in the early stages of 2. Sometimes I regress back into 1. There are still some things I don't know about Twitch and still finding my way streaming art.
Great video honestly. Im bouncing around stages 2 and 3 where I had some good growth and that has stagnated. This vid showed me that its perfectly normal and I should invest more time (again) in branding and strategizing instead of just pressing go live. Thanks for the vid!
hihi ! im currently in the plateau + i honestly am okay with it. i’ve been feeling demotivated, because i’ve decreased in in about 30-40% of my viewership, however it’s okay. i realized i never really utilized my other platforms, and that it’s really easy for me to market myself on applications on tiktok, and i do not take advantage of that at ALL. thank you, kat.
I totally love your art, work and videos in general❤ AND I'm feeling sooo comfy when I see you drawing such "beautiful" graphics like I do 😂 Always feeling so weird when I'm sketching some ideas or whatever and the linework looks like it's been drawn by a 4-year-old 🤣 Always thought other good artists never do scribbled drawings like this. Thanks that I don't have to feel so alone 🙈❤️
I wanna say I'm at stage 4 but without Partner, I had huge growth before, either from RUclips or twitch, and then now I'm just chilling with my current community.
I'm not even sure if I'm at stage 2. I sometimes only have friends who watch me and write in the chat, but then sometimes other people join in. So between 2-15 people but average viewers consistently less than 3. I currently have 19 followers on Twitch and at the beginning of the year it was about 15. I use the time and try out different things. Gaming, drawing, ASMR, ... and stream at the same time on RUclips for the Watchtime.
interesting. i'm not sure if i've witnessed this myself. the three streamers i mod for that have hit partner, well, at least two of them are unusual cases of relatively new streamers going big pretty fast. i've seen faster though, with an adjacent streamer. pretty wild. two of them basically just do not create on other platforms (though have like the barest presence in places like instagram or whatever) and the most recently partnered one only just recently started getting into making videos for youtube, has recently started posting regularly on instagram, and picked out a niche, which i think is what finally pushed her into the range so she could apply for partner and she got it first try. meanwhile, i'm three years into streaming and floundering about in stage 2 i guess? making stuff outside of twitch isn't working for me yet. maybe it never will, but lately i'm questioning if anyone should have streaming as a primary focus
i’m at stage 3. maybe flip flopping between 2 and 3. i just need to be consistent and create content outside of twitch and maybe in 2024 i’ll get to stage 4 and try to partner and be able to live comfortably 😊
While I never really got to partner levels, the drop did happen and man it killed my desire to stream at all. I'm maybe stage 3 to the drop end of 4? if that makes sense I remember streaming for ~6 viewers for 2 years, then taking like 4 years off. Then after coming back I went from 15 viewers slowly to 40, then now it being around ~15-20 per stream now again lmao.
This is pretty much how my dashboard looks lol I have not hit partner yet so I am in between 3 and 4 and I am not gonna end here so I am expecting anouther big growth. Not about to give up. Thank you for this.

Thanks for the video though, What you've explained makes sense.
What I notice is post it on Reddit and tweet it that you’re going live and post it ☺️

Stage 2 here. On the up and up lately. Getting close to 50 followers. It’s been tough but I’m learning everyday.

I’ve been flip flopping between 1 and two but I’m finally starting to but more effort in so I can hopefully start moving up stages

unfortunately for me I can't get past stage 2 and i hit a pit of despair. i need help to get past this lol

I love how you call it the pit of despair lmao
that's what it feels like T_T
I would say stage 2. I'm hoping to reach stage 3 in the next few years. This was really helpful!!
What is it about being partnered that makes viewership plummet?! Does it mean more ads or something? Or they just stop trying as hard?
Yup that’s great I’m sitting beyond 5 going up at this point
im in stage 4, your content really helped me get to the point where i was able to apply partner
wow omg good luck!!! manifesting for you

Been stuck on stage 2 for a year now, hope I don't end on it
I'm just happy i made affiliate. I have no delusions about reaching partner anytime soon. Lol
I’m starting soon!!
You couldn't just use the line tool? Lol
